113. Silence

Alexander was quiet for a long time, he couldn’t get a reasonable response to give them without giving out too much information. His eyes kept shifting from Junior to Alexia and vice versa in deep thought. The kids were also looking at him blanking, impatiently awaiting his response as they showed no evidence of backing down anytime soon.

Alexander grinned,”should we take a nap now?”, he said with them with a shrug.

Junior facepalm himself as Alexia looked at him with obvious disbelief at his pathetic attempt at changing the topic.

“Amongst everything you could have brought up in attempt to change the topic and possibly take our minds off it, you choose sleep? Sleep? Wow dad, I thought I took my intelligence from you!”, Junior proclaimed with a look of disappointment and a shake of head.

Alexander’s face became as red at a ripe tomato at the comment from Junior making Alexia giggle. He knew his attempt was pathetic but when Junior said it the way he did, he became even more pitiful at
