James was beyond annoyed. He sat at his desk next to his partner and looked at the closed file of carella Mink- Carella Jones- on his desk. How could everything be clean. Maybe someone tiped her off. Maybe she had everything cleaned before they went to her house.
James couldn't let go of the fact that she bothered him too much. He had always been the one to listen to his guts. And his guts has never been wrong. But this time, it's as if, that gut feeling doesn't quite know what to process. Doneld on the other hand seemed to think that Carella was not guilty but that doesn't mean she was not connected some how. As he was roaming the files he could find on the so called best hostage negotiator, he came across a paper. It was her birth certificate. Finally. He thought to himself. It was impossible to find anything on Carella Jones. All there was publicaly was few articles that were written seven years ago. Most of the magezines at that time only spoke of Carella and Kanzel. But after a while, they stopped. The media went silent on that matter. Doneld asked an old buddy of his, Armend Stiew to collect every information about Carella Jones before and after that explosion. It took his friend a while, but he never disappoints.Doneld didn't know how Armend did it, but he collected most of the articles writen at that time, every mission she had done and her birth certificate as well. The articles were mostly about how Carella disapeared after the explosion and all the failed attempts made to find her.The missions she had done were always a success story, that is until Kanzel. It says in the file that after the police got Carella out of the ruins of the house, they took her to the hospital. But she refused to stay hospitalized and some one picked her up. That some one was Mark- the man in the black suit- everything about him was also in the file. The story about how they met and how she took him in as well. After Carella recovered, she handed in her redignation letters and disapeared from the eyes of the public. Few month later, she married her boyfriend, a man she had been dating for three years in a secret ceremony and gave birth to their son. After their marriage, Carella took his last name and changed hers from Jones to Mink. Her husband died in a car accident just months after Carella gave birth. After that, she invested her money in her garden and raised her own buisness. At the end of the file was the life she had before the explosion. As soon as Doneld read the first words that caught his eyes, he shote out of his seat. "An orphan!" He exclaimed looking at james.James, who was still riding his train of thought, looked at Doneld with confussion. "Who?" He asked his partner. Doneld setteled down on his seat. "Carella Jones. She is an Orphan. It says here that her mother ran away from her husband and took Carella with her. It says they have been on the ran for a while until her mother left her at the steps of an orphanage intown. Her mother pretty much disapeared after that. She never came back to look for her." Doneld paused as he looked through the file, then he spoke again. He wrinkeled his face at the paper. "Uff...she had a pretty bad life growing up at that orphanage too. Bullied...over worked...kidnaped...sexcual assult...she left when she turned eighteen..." James cuts him off "Aren't most of Kanzels' dealers orphans?" Doneld looked up from the file to his partner to answer the question "yes, but just because she is an orphan doesn't mean she is one of his dealers."Doneld looked back to his file and continued reading. The next he read out shocked both the agents."Listen to this. Carella was not born blind. It was after she got kidnaped that she lost her sight. No specific reason as to what happened...but she sure wasn't blind until she was fourteen!" Carella had forgotten about her mother until the day she became one herself. It was when she had her son, that she thought of her mother. She doesn't remember much about her. Just her voice and her hazel eyes were all that remained in her memories. But she had absolutely no memory of her father. All she knows is what she was told. And she was told that her father was so abusive, her mother ran away with her so Carella wouldn't suffer his crulness as well. But the life her mother left her to was no different from the one she protected her from. The kids in that orphanage were mean to her and the elders didn't care but to keep on working her until she was exhuasted to her bones. She had been kidnaped by human traficers and was saved from the verge of sexcual assult. She even lost her abilities to see that fatefull night. Sometimes she wondered if her mom should have just left her with her father. In her eyes, it was her mother that was cruel, not her father. After years of lonely days, Kalven Mink was the man that saved her. Her upside down life was finally better after she met the love of her life. But he also was taken from her. Her heart has been bleeding for years and that cut would have been the last to kill her but she had her son. Brian was her world now. And the fear of lossing him too scares her more than anything. Life has always been too cruel to her that she was afraid her son will be taken from her too. "Do you think they know?" Carella asked Mark, who was sitting across from her, reading a book.He looked up to her knowing what she was asking him. She has kept that secret for seven years well. "No. It is impossible for anyone to know."His words did comfort her. She had worked hard to hide that secret. Seven years ago, she had learned something she shouldn't have the day of the explosion. It is a secret that could cost her her life. If Kanzel or any of his goons find out that she knows, they would hunt her down for sure. So for the last seven years, she had been living a lie. That secret has been killing her inside day by day. At night, that secret steals her sleep. Unless she holds her son in her arms, she keeps on remembering it.
"It's going to be okay. They will never know." Mark kept assuring Carella that the agent or anyone for that matter will never find out about her secret.Carella had once again asked him if the agent would find out and every time she did, mark would tell her that they couldn't know. But the more she thought about it, the tighter her chest gets. But it seems like Carella was not the only one who was loseing sleep. James had been laying awake almost every night, unable to get that woman out of his head.Carella Jones...he thought to himself 'why do you bother me so much?'He wanted to prove her guilty. But every time he thinks about her being apart of Kanzel's crew, he feels sick. And the need to prove her innocent grows every minute.James has never had this kind of reaction towards a criminal, If she is a criminal. And that some how upsets him. He has never met someone harder to read than Carella and the need to break down
Carella decided to go out with Maria to get more pots for her flowers and new seeds to grow because the agents destroied hers. But because of the feer of being recognized, she barely makes it out of her car.So while Mark and her waited in the car, Maria would go in to buy the kind of pots Carella likes.Carella leans her head against the car seat and sighs heavy. Her lips were pressed tightly against eachother. Her mind rides back to Kalven. Her late husband who was taken from her by a drunk driver. How unluck her life has been.Everytime she finds a way to be happy, the univers takes it from her.She doesn't allow herself to think of him though. Because it made her feel like her scars are being cut open in to a fresher wounds, making her bleed until she feels light headed. How much she misses him. A smile ghosts her lips as she remembers him. The man that playfuly warmed her stiff and cold self. The man who loved her nomatter what. The man who never judged her
" well, well, well,...look who we have here...The moment Agent James Walker said the name Kanzel, Carella was swollowed in to ger memory. She barely heard a word after the name was mentioned in the interogation room. All she heard was the cruel voice of that drug lord she met seven years ago."Mrs. Mink..."They called out her name but she didn't answer.Instead, she sat there and remenesed about that faithful day where she had lost her job, her faith and her confidence in her abilities. The way he took her glassess off, the roughness of his hand when her touched her right arm to return the glass...she was scared and rightfuly so.But that was not all she felt. She remembers correctly feeling like she had met him before. Like a distant memory that she can't quite reach.Maybe it was because she had met many powerful drug lords during her time as a hostage negotiator, but for a very long time, she was unable to forget that sence of famil
Carella tried to control her breath that was coming out very shallow. The folded white cane drops from her hands as she placed one on her chest and the other at the back of the front seat to help herself sit up.She was shaking terriblly and she feared she would never calm down. The feeling was intence. Tears where streaming down her cheeks and her sweat made the bridge of her nose very uncomfortable, so she removed the glasses her trew them on the other side of the seat. Her hands back on her chest, she sobbed like there was no yesterday and there will be no tomorrow. She felt so scared. She closed her eyes shut to prevent the memory of the explosion. It had left her with a truman she didn't dare tell anyone other than her late husband. Not even Mark. But today, he saw her at her lowest.Mark was flustered by the situation. He has never once seen his madam break down like this infront of him. If she wanted to cry and let her fears get the best of her,
James and Doneld are at loss. Carellas' sudden change in attitude and emotion has left them to ponder silently. What is her relationship with Kanzel? It felt like that would be an answer that is going to be kept in the dark for a very long time, if not for ever.James is more than intreged with her reaction. He frowned to himself thinking about her stiff shoulders and trembling figure as Kanzels' name was mentioned.Carella Jones. Carella Mink.Which ever one she truly was, James wanted to know all about her. He will do all in his power to strip her of all her hard shells and see her as she truly is. Only time will tell.James and Doneld sat in their office looking more into her file. They have been going over every single one of them over and over again, wishing that they wouod see something that they missed the one before. But, there was nothing that caught their attention.Doneld pick up one of the black an white picture that his buddy took
From the smell of the mans' breath, Carella was sure that he was drunk off his ass. And his desperation to get out of this situation was so high that he let the young Carella go outside to negotiate for him.It was after she reached the police car that she learnt that the man had held a woman, her three childern and a hostage negotiator hostage. He might be drunk but he wasn't stupid. He didn't let anyone get out of the house after seeing who he was. And since Carella was blind, he had hoped that she would get his words out.Tell 'um pigs that if they don't get me a free pass out of here, all this people will be catching a bollet. And this time, it won't be on the leg.His words ecoed in her head as she spoke to the police men incharge. She told them his demands. An un-tracable car and as the man said monye to swim in.Letting the man go was a huge risk, but saving the people in that house was their main priority.Carella was scared for Sophi
Carella felt exhusted when she sat down for a break. She had been working on re-building her garden for weeks now. And this weeks have been filled with work, work and work. The agents haven't came back after the day they took her to the interogation room. But just becasue they didn't come today or for the past few weeks, doesn't mean they have stopped at all. She knows this is far from over. But she paid it no mind. She had focused more on her business and her family.Speaking of family, Maria- Marks' mother- has been a great help when it came to the garden. She helped her plant the seeds in the exact order as they were before the DEA stormed in and wrecked her entire place.Even though her business has been on the halt, she will be starting again soon. Some flowers grow fast and some grow slow. So, she first took care of the fast growing flowers and turned her focus on her slow growing ones.Maria had left to prepare Lunch as Carella sat by herself in her garde
Weeks. Its been weeks yet nothing. Not a single drug was found in any of the locations they usually show up in. The last bit of drugs that were found was on the day the agents brought Carella in for questioning. It was like the supplier stopped supplying the drugs. The most drug invested part of the city had...stopped.What ever was going on, it didn't sit well with the agents.Donald and James walked back to their office with yet another unsucessful bust. There were no more drugs. All the flower shops they looked into have been nothing more than that...flower shops.Donald drops himself on his desk with a huge sigh. He should be happy that the drugs have stopped but...he still felt like a failer.Their main goal was to bring in the supplier and put a stop to his drugs. But no drugs means no supplier.James on the other hand, found himself taken back to the woman he has been obsessed with lately.Carella Jones. Carella Mi
Carella waited in patience for Heather to speak. At first, Carella wanted to tell the other woman to turn around and walk out of her house. What ever happened to mama Sophia should not be connected to her in anyway. Because, if Carella really was the reason her mama Sophia got murdered, then she would never forgive herself. But, of she doesn't turn Heather away, then, not knowing what the other woman was about to tell her would probably haunt her for the rest of her life. So, Carella took a deep breath and waited for Heather to speak.Heather cleared her throat."Carella, thank you for deciding to listen to me..." Heather hesitantly looked at Mark, who was standing right behind Carella like he always does and cleared her throat again."I... I actually came here to do a story about the Kanzel and his missing case related to you but, Mama Sophia's death has been bothering me a lot..."Listen, you and i both know that Mama Sophia would never jave enemies and her murder was so sudden.
Mark looked at Carella as she excitedly sighed the papers her distributer handed her. Mark held her hand to position it over the space she is supposed to sighed and pressed her pen lightly against the paper.Taking that as he cue, Carella signed her signature and handed the distributer the paper back. Mark watched the men load all the prepared flowers in the back of the container and drive away."They're gone." Mark commented and Carella nodded her head."Finally." She whispered as she tried to hold her tears back. It felt impossible to get back to distributing her flowers in the past couple of month. Most of her clients had left her for another distributer and some had even threatened to sue her for not delivering. Mark had to take care of those threats and tried to help her keep her clients. But, only few loyal ones' remained as her client.Even though the loss of so many clients had really knocked Carella to a sore mood, she worked hard each day to take care of her flowers an
Kanzel looked at the pictures on top of his desk with a full force frown on his face.It was a picture of Carella Jones walking with her son Brian and the man that was always by her side Mark. Kanzel studied the picture well until his head started to pound. Why does he always gets mix feeling when ever he looks at the blind woman with her son? And why does that blind woman remind him so much of the woman he lost?Kanzel sighed and leaned back on his chair with Carellas' picture still in his hand. His eyes then shifted to the picture frame on his desk. He hated the mixed feelings he was experiencing. But, as one of his me came knocking on his office door, he slipped Carellas' picture into his top drawer and invited the knocker to come in.One of his men came in, dragging a very thin boy and dropped him at the center of the room.Kanzel raised his left brow at the man he had sent to bring him the drug dealer that was threatening to take his customers away."What do you expect me to do
"Wait!"Heather called out and stopped Luther from leavingHe turned around to look at her with pupy eyes and she sighed after looking down at the folder he just gave her.She sighed again before turning around to unlock her door and walk in. She left the door wide open as she went inside and Luther took it as invitation to follow her in.He softly closed the door and looked around to find he appartment messy. Just like the old days.Luther smiled as he moved around the living room to pick up her clothes that were lying all over the place and dumped them in a basket near her washer. Then, he continued on to go through her kitchen and organize her messy dishes while waiting for her to come out.Heather changed of her dress and sat on her bed while looking at the folder her gave her. She didn't have to look at him to know what he was doing. If he is still the guy she remembered, then he would probably be cleaning her house.Heather smiled at the
Heather looked at herself through length mirror as she turned from side to side to get different angles. She wore a red skin tight dress that drops down to her knee with a low cut at her cleveage.Heather realised her hair from the bun and pulled it over her left shoulder. Then she pulled it over to her right, wondering which side would be better. It has been almost two hours since she started getting ready and is still yet to choose the dress. She has tried mini-skirt, long evening gown, short shorts with hot pink tank top...all her clothes were laying on her bed and some on the floor of her room as she goes through them again to look for the perfect thing to wear to her date.Date? Since when did she get excited to see her ex? This is nothing but a business meeting and she promised herself not to make anything out of it. She has spent the last decade turning Luther down, why would she accept him now?Heather shook her head as she took off the red dres
It looks like some woman was there the night sophia was killed.Heather thought to herself as she looked at the security feed she got from a shop across the street from sophia's herb shop. But who the hell is she? And why does she look familiar?Heather tried to zoom in but the video was too blur to make out the face of the woman. Heather made a frustrated voice as she spined herself in circles on her chair.Heather already knows that this is not a robbery because the killer didn't take anything from the shop. All the money and herbs haven't been touched. If it was a robery, why would they kill a blind woman when she can't even see who they are.Heather played the video again for the tenth time and narrowed her eyes to look closer. The woman on the video entered the store and left with in five minutes and her steps were faster when she walked out. After the woman left, no one else came to Sophia's shop until one of her clients passed by and saw her on t
Bettys' heart was beating like crazy when she rushed out of Robel Petros' mansion. Or shall she say, Kanzels' mansion. It was dark when his men dragged her from the gates when she was coincidently visiting to tell him about her day with Carella and how she was trying go get closer to them until Knazel held a gun to her head.Betty clunched her chest with her hand as she stumbled into her house. He legs were still shaking as she carried herself through the small living room to her bed.How could she have been so stupid to leave such evidence at the crime scene? She had the necklace around her neck as jestification for what she was doing. For all that she had done to other people. As long as she had that silver rose necklace one, she always felt like she was doing the right thing for Knazel. But now, if they know that she was the killer and they come knocking on her door, it will bebthe end of her.It was very unlike of Kanzel to let her go tonight. But it does
Carella sat at the dinner tabel and ate in silence with Maria and her son.Mark was still not out of his room and it concerned Carella dearly.Maria saw the worry in Carellas' face and sighed."Don't worry, Dear. Just give him sometime. He'll be fine." She commented as Brian looked at the two ladies talk."Mama, where is uncle Mark?" Brian asked Carella as he took a big bite of his chicken.Carella sighed "In his room." She answered and Brian pouted his lips."Did uncle Mark get grounded."Carella and Maria laughed after hearing Brian and Carella nodded her head."Yes, Sweetheart. He's grounded because he wouldn't eat his vegetables." Maria answered as she pushed the plate holding the vegetables towards Brian. He pouted more and turned to his mom."Is it true? Then, will i get grounded if I don't eat them too?" He asked and Carella nodded again.Brian sighed in defeat and pulled the plate closer to eat the vegies.Once they
Betty stood infront of Carellas' gate and refuses to give into the urge to walk away. But instead, she rung the bell until she heard a warm voice of an old lady answer through the speaker."I'm Bette Jona. I was hoping to see Carella today." Betty spoke closer ro the speaker just to be sure that the person on the other side would hear clearly."What business do you have with the madam?" The old lady asked Betty through the speaker."Umm...i guess i'm her friend. Please let me in." She asked in her sweet thin voice and the other side became silent.Betty wasn't sure the person heard her so she got closer, almost pressed her lips to the speaker and repeated her words again.Maria looked at the girl who just clamied to be the madams' friend through the camera that was well hidden above the gate and smile when she saw the girl almost kiss the speaker."Who is it?" Carellas' wadm voice came from behind Maria as she turned aound to look at the woman.
