It was a Saturday morning and Diane was feeling particularly lazy. She woke up very late, around ten in the morning, took her precious time in taking her bath before going downstairs to get her breakfast. As she walked down the stairs, she saw her husband, Nicholas sitting by the table, eating. He raised his head, their gazes met and they both looked away immediately.

For some days now, neither Nicholas or Diane had been talking to each other. Diane was still mad at Nicholas for calling her a cheat and Nicholas was mad that she ditched him for Jayden, and then, lied to him. Neither of them really spoke to each other except in monosyllables and in really frosty and icy tone. It wasn't like they didn't miss each other. In fact, on the contrary, they both missed each other so much. They practically ached for each other. But they were both too proud too admit it.

So, Diane walked to the table, motioning to one of the servants to bring her food. She refused to look at Nicholas, not wanti

They sat at the table, Mark and Grace beside each other and across Diane and Nicholas who were at the other side of the table. "Diane, thank you very much for looking after Livy," Grace said with a grateful smile. "Oh, pfft, it's nothing," Diane answered in a jovial tone. She liked Grace. Grace was kind and warm and just lovely. "It was really lovely to have her here," She said, glancing down at Olivia with a loving look on her face. "She's a special kid.""Yeah, she is, isn't she," Mark concurred as he looked at his daughter with pride. "But still, we love tha

Immediately she walked in, the both of them raised their heads to stare at her. "Malvika!" Nicholas exclaimed. "You are back," he said. She forced a smile at him. "Hey, Nick," she said politely. From the corner of her eyes, she could see his gaze wandering to her belly, then, to her face, then her belly again. She could see him pursing his lips, probably trying to figure out if he was seeing right. "Sure," Diane answered. She turned to Nicholas, whispered to him and kissed his lips. Then, she rose to her feet. "Let's go," she said. The both of them headed for and climbed the stairs. As they walked, Malvika asked, "Where

A slight sound of movement outside made Diane open her eyes. The entire room was still dark as there was no space for illumination. Her hands and feet were still bound together. Her neck hurt from having bending them in one position for a very long time. The mosquitoes in the room kept biting her and the notes were painful. She had been unable to sleep for a while even with her eyes closed, so when she heard movement in front of the door, her eyes flew open. She fixed her gaze on the door, sensing movements behind it. Her heartbeat increased in fear as she was unable to tear her gaze away from the door. Her fear heightened when someone started to bang something on the door. She began to struggle with her chains, unable to move. “Help!” she yelled. “Somebody, help me!” But the banging increased, until the door was pushed open. She opened her mouth and let out a loud scream when she saw the uniformed men armed to the bones barging in, “Ahhhhhhh…….” “Ma'am, please you can calm down,” On

"How....how did you get here?" "I....I was arrested," she mumbled. "For what? How? What did you do?" He threw a series of questions at her, all of which she did not answer. He stared at her, a small frown on his face as something finally clicked. "The cops said they arrested a couple of people who turned out to be a gang. They got an address from these guys and when they got there they found.....you?" He was shocked.....and although he was able to piece it together, he was still very much confused. Diane slowly opened her eyes. She let out a soft groan of pain as she tried to adjust herself on the ground. Her hands kept pulling against the cuffs. She glances around, shuffling her legs. The entire room was dark, except for the ray of light coming in beneath the door. She had spent almost two days in this hell hole that Jenny and Derek had locked her up in. Just yesterday, one of Jenny's goons had placed a call to her family, demanding a ransom. Diane let out a pant. She was feeling hungry and thirsty. Not only that, her entire body was in serious pains. Her body ached to the marrow and she had this massive headache that forced her to wince from time to time. She could not wait to get out of here, yet she had no idea how she would get out. The doors and windows were locked, her hands and feet were handcuffed and there was absolutely no way that she could free herself. Her best and only option was to wait for Nicholas to pay the ransom so she could be released. Just then, the door

“Yeah, I don’t think that’s going to be possible,” Jenny says into her phone, pulling the cigarette away from her lips and blowing out a puff of smoke.
