Madeline froze in place, her eyes wide, as Matthew gently moved his lips against hers. Her headache disappeared right away, replaced by euphoric sensations all across her mind. Her entire body tingled with the intensity of the feeling. She wasn't kissing back at all; her senses had gone numb, she couldn't even breathe.
He could hear her heart thundering in her chest, and realized she had stopped breathing. Although he didn't want to, he finally pulled away from the kiss, letting her get some air.
A myriad of emotions soared through her head; joy, love, shock, fear, confusion, and... Resentment.
"Stop messing with me like this!" She tried to push him away, but her strength could not even budge him. His brows furrowed in bemusement when he saw tears welling up in her eyes.
"Why are you upset? I thought you liked me."
"You keep being so romantic, it's only making my fe
➳"Just kill usalready, you monster."Matthew's lips curved into a smirk, whilehe slowly paced around his victims. "But that wouldn't be any fun for me, would it?""You're horrible. This is why direwolves must be eradicated and-" He was interrupted by a loud crack. A howl of pain echoed through the room as Matthew pulled back the whip. The Alpha felt a rush of pleasure at theircries. He knew it was sadistic, but torturing his captivesfilled him with unbearable satisfaction. All of his confined emotions were taken out on them;it was a thrilling experience for him."I'm horrible? Yet you are the ones who had my entire family killed." Rage flowed through his body like lava as he remembered what happened to his kin."Direwolves are demons. They all deserved to die, and you'll be next-"Crack."I suffer every single day because of you," Crack."Thi
➳"Why are you here?"He could feel her trembling as he staredinto her ocean eyes. Thosesame eyes that previously looked at him with love were now filled with nothing but fear. He glanced down atthe cat in her arms, then back at her face. His jaw clenched in anger. She haddisobeyed him three times thisnight; going outside without his permission, bringing that damncat in his house, and comingdown to the basement.Madeline hesitantly opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She was far too terrified. Was this really who Matthew was? He hid he fact that he was a direwolf, he hidthe fact that he was a cruel torturer who kept men chained up in his basement, what other secrets is he keeping from her?"Answer me." His gaze was menacing. She began scolding herself for coming down here. "Youshould've just stayed in bed, you idiot. Everything would've been fine."
➳"Have you ever met your biological parents?" Matthew asked, his eyes focused on the road before him. Madeline sat in the passenger's seat, staring out the window boredly."No. I don't even know who they are.""They just left you in a forest?""Yeah, that's what everyonetold me."He was suddenly very interested in knowing more about his mate. "What was your life like before I brought you here?""Hmm... It wasn't that interesting.I hadschool, but I hated it and skipped class most days. I spent a lot of timebaking things, whenever there was an event, the Pack would always ask me to make a cake for them. And sometimes, Nathan would take me to the city and we'd meet other humans." She looked over to him. "What was your life like?""My life?""I talked about mine, now it's your turn.""Well...I was bornfar up north. My family would move around from Pack to Pack pretty o
➳"What's happening here?" Matthewasked, his voice menacingly low.A flash of fear flickered in the boy'seyes. "Good evening,Alpha," He uttered, bowing before him.Madeline smiled at him, unfazed by his sudden appearance. "We were tasting my cake, you want to try it?" She felt the boy nudge her softly, staring at her with wide eyes."What are you doing? He's theAlpha, bow to him," He whispered. She looked back at Matthew. "I have to bow too? Okay." She bent at her waist, lowering her head. The Alpha watched in bemusementas she clumsily bowed. This was the first time she had ever showed anysignof submission to him as the other Pack members do.His attentionturned back to the young-looking boy. "Since when did they let children work as cooks?""... Children? I'm almost eighteen, Alpha.""Really? I couldn't tell," He replied condescendingly. "I assume the foo
➳Madeline wandered through the meadow, the cool breeze blowing through her hair. Now that the long winter had come to an end, it was finally warm enough for her to enjoy a nice walk outside again.A bright smile formed on her face when she arrived at the garden. It was wide and colorful, sloping gently down a turquoise-blue river. Groves of peaceful birch trees surrounded it, casting idyllic shadows onto the lush, green grass, while lettinga few glinting sunbeams through here and there. In the middle stood a large bed of roses in the shape of a heart, pink and blue; her favorite colors.Matthew had built this garden a few weeks ago for her seventeenth birthday as a present, along with giving her multiple sets of diamond jewelry, and throwing a grand party for the entire Pack to celebrate her special day. She was blown away by how much money he had spent on her. Just spending the day with him would havebeen enough of a gift f

It's really rude to just leave in the middle of a conversation like that. I know you're just a cat,but still."The girl watched curiously as he frantically ran around the large bathroom, before jumping into the laundry basket and hiding under the clothes. "What a strange cat," She thought, standing up. Now that the animal was out of sight, she could finally get out of the tub without anyone looking at her.Or so she thought.Matthew barged into the bathroom, sniffing around."Where is it?"With a scream, Madeline quickly covered herself w

It was the Mystic Moon's annual Fighter Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the strength and courage of the Pack's warriors. The pavements around the territory were decorated with banners and graceful archways, bloomingflowers of all colors were planted all around the land, and a joyful aura flowed through the atmosphere. The men engaged in friendly fights to refine their skills, while children ran and played together in the distance.A tug on her skirt made her turn around. Behind her stood a little boy, his hands grasping the fabric of her clothes."Hello," He uttered, grinning adorably. ➳ Today was the day; Madeline would officially be crowned as the Luna of the Mystic Moon Pack. Her favourite flowers were planted all around the entire territory, with strings of garlands decorating each building and fairy lights hanging around the lampposts, all in her honor. Matthew had even built a giant, golden fountain for her, surrounded by a garden of flowers, right in the middle of their territory. Although he was not a fan of parties at all, he ordered this to be the greatest celebration the Pack has ever had. He loved nothing more than cherishing and spoiling his little mate. "This is all... For me?" Madeline breathed out, staring at fountain in disbelief. She looked down at the array of flowers underneathit, involuntarily taking a step back; it was all so beautiful. "Will my Pack accept me?" When she was a human not long ago, the werewolves had all regarded her with disdain, refusing to speak to her or even glance in her direction. Not to mention, she was not a werewolf herself. How can a direwolf and a former human ever fit in, let alone be their Luna? She doesn't belong here with us.Absentmindedly, her gaze driftedto t

She reached into her bag and grabbed a pink rattle, shaking it around. The newborn giggled joyfully, her tiny fingers reaching for the object. "Do you like it? It even has your name on it, see?""You spoil my daughter more than I do," The Beta female laughed, watching the two from the doorway. The young girl simply smiled in response. "It's not my fault she's so adorable.""You know Maddie, Ithink you'd make a great mother someday."She blinked, clearly taken aback by the Beta's words. "... Really?""Of course, kids love you."Effervescent feelings bloomed inside of her at the thought of becoming a mother. She shook her head, remindingherself that she was not even eighteen yet."Thank you, but I'm still to young for that.""
➳A ticklish sensation abovehis cheststirred him awake. Matthew sleepily opened his eyes, squinting at the sunlight that peered through the curtains. His mate laid on top of him, her face digging into his neck as she sniffed him rather aggressively."What are you doing?" His voice came out deep and husky, laced with sleep.Madeline lifted her head to look at him. "Why do you smell so good? It's like you dipped yourself in chocolate. Mmmh..."The corners of his lips curved upwards. "That is my scent. You can finally smell it now that you're a wolf." He reached up to grab her hands, sinking his fingers into spaces between hers. Her body melted at his touch while she stared at their interlocked hands in awe."Do you feel that too? It's like, tingling every time you touch me," She marvelled, giving hishands a small squeeze."I've been feeling this ever since we met." His arms travelled down to wrap arou

His head grew dizzier with each minute, buthe did not stop.If he wanted to live, he had to keep going.Matthew scolded himself for leaving his house. "If you just stayed home, everything would'vebeen fine." But it was too late now. They had smelled his scent. If he were to return home, he would only lead the direwolf hunters to his family. His only option was to hide and pray they would not find him.A loud clap of thunder made the young boy jump, his foot slipping off the roc
