JANE’S POV
I woke up with a huge grin on my face. Saying my morning prayers, I started getting ready for the day. It was finally time, the time I had been anticipating. I proceeded to embark on my morning routine and headed to the triplet's room. Knowing how stressful it was to wake all three up, I wasn’t anticipating it. They would sleep immediately when I woke them, not even allowing me to speak.
Having one child was already stressful, having three was worse. They were very stubborn and would hardly listen. Without the support of my parents, I would have almost killed myself by now.
“Wake up kids!” I screamed in their ears. Keanna made a sound and went back to enjoy her sleep. I had managed to wake them up and were now taking their bath in the bathroom. “Mommy, the water is too hot!” Keanna complained with a snort. She pouted angrily, earning a chuckle from me.
“Just hold on, you will soon be out,” I said. She was just too demanding and stubborn, the boys who were supposed to be disturbing were calm. After taking their bath, I picked an outfit for them and put it on.
I knew how my children were, I couldn’t stress anyone so the only best option for me was a kindergarten. At least they could start their basic academic knowledge and also a secure place for them. “Where are we going mama?”Keith asked innocently. “You are starting kindergarten, my babies are growing!” I said excitedly.
“What’s that mama? I don’t want to go anywhere without you.”Keene whined. “Quit whining, you are just so clingy Keene,” I said with an eye roll. After our session, we headed downstairs to see my mommy already sorting out their dishes.
“You are a darling mom, I love you!” I said as I walked to her and pulled her into a hug. “Are you all ready?” my mommy asked, nodding my head to her response I looked over to see the lunch box arranged on the table.
My mom had gone through the stress of making lunch for the triplet, I was already running late and cooking was not even on my schedule. “Okay babies, pick your boxes,” I told them. “I want this one! Leave it!” I started hearing them argue. I looked over to see Keene and Keanna arguing over who was taking the box.
“Can you just stop arguing!” I scolded them angrily. “Mama, I took it first then Keanna started fighting with me,” Keene reported. “Stop being troublesome, they are all the same,” I explained ruffling my hair. I had to sit down for another ten minutes to explain that the lunch boxes were all the same.
“You can't keep having what you want Keanaa!” I scolded her. Knowing her, I was very sure she started the fight. She was very dramatic, it was hard time deal with her! “I like it, just hand it over to me!” Keanna demanded, stretching out her tiny hands.
We had to buy the same for all of them considering they were triplets. “I still want that one!” Keanaa said and started crying. I handed over the lunch box to her and gave Keene the one lying JC on the table before going to put on my dress.
I got into my room to see that I had only one hour left. “Gosh, I can't be late on my first day!” I said, rushing to put on my clothes. I got into a pair of pants I* with a shirt and put on my loafers designer shoes. Going for my bag, I packed essential items into it before going back downstairs.
“It’s time darlings, let’s go to school,” I told them. “Bare grandma and grandpa goodbye,” I told them as we made our way into the garage. They bore their grandparents happily, earning a smile from me. They got into the car as I drove them to the kindergarten.
“Mommy, where are you going?” Keanna asked once I turned back to head back into my car. “I am going to work baby, I can't stay here with you,” I explained. Before I could even process any word Keanna had burst out crying. She is so dramatic!
Keith and Kenne joined and I had to try and explain to them. “No, we can't leave Mommy,” Kenne said in between his sobs. “I am not leaving you, I will be back soon.” I tried explaining to them. “Okay, can we make a deal? I promise to get you toys and goodies, just allow me to go and I’ll be back in a jiffy.” I told them with a smile. None of them was having it but after convincing them for a while, they accepted and allowed me to go.
It was a hard time letting Keene go as he wouldn’t stop crying but I had to do it for him, Keith was the quiet one and rarely made trouble.
I drove speedily to work, praying not to meet any traffic. Thankfully, I got to work without any delays. I was even earlier than normal office time, happy with myself I walked into the building confidently.
“Good morning!” I greeted, seeing the secretary. After exchanging pleasantries, I asked her where my office was located. “You will be amazed when you see your office,” Tiana, who was the secretary, said. “I can't wait.” I squealed as we got into the elevator.
“I am very sure you have been told the rules of the company, make sure you abide by it. The CEO is quite strict but you can get into his good book if you behave properly.” Tiana explained as I nodded my head, walking into my office.
“Gosh! This is so beautiful!” I exclaimed. “I get my office?” I asked, perplexed. “Yes you do, you are more than lucky,” Tiana uttered. I walked into the room, studying the environment. It was very conducive for an office and I couldn’t wait to settle in.
“I think I need to head back now. Make yourself comfortable and don’t forget to call me if you need any help.” Tiana said before leaving. I jumped up in joy while squealing happily. This was the type of job I had always wanted, I couldn’t contain my joy!
Sorting out some files, I started arranging my office so it could suit my taste well. “This is perfect!” I uttered, looking around my office. I settled down and started working for the day, a knock interrupted me. “Come in,” I said, looking to see who it was.
“Good morning ma'am, you have been asked to assemble in the meeting room. The CEO has few words for you,” he said before leaving. I adjusted my dress and clothes before walking out of my office with confidence. I walked looking at the directions and soon I was at the door of the meeting room.
Taking a steady breath, I walked Into the room and all eyes were on me. “Good morning,” I exchanged pleasantries with whoever I passed by. “Good morning everyone, as we all can see we have a new member.” the man said and everyone turned to me.
Flashing a polite smile in return, the man continued his speech. “We would like for her to introduce herself while we also try to know her more. We have an important project to work on so we have to work together,” he added, I nodded my head in response.
“Good morning to you all, I go by the name Jane Collins. I am in love with arts and everything surrounding it and I hope you all love me for who I am.” I said, earning a clap from everyone. They all introduced themselves and soon the meeting was over.
I got back into my office to see a file on my desk already. Going through it, I saw the project which we were going to work on. A new museum was opening and we were to create twenty mindblowing artifacts. I got down to work and started drawing some rough sketches, I was still deep in my work when the knock on the door interrupted me.
“It’s lunchtime, won’t you join us?” Tiana asked poking her head through the door. “It’s fine, thank you. I need to finish this.” I told her before she finally left. I continued my work as I enjoyed the arts.
I decided to go out for lunch finally, I was so carried away with the building that I missed noticing the presence of a woman. “I am so sorry,” I apologized.
I hadn't seen the woman during my introduction, not knowing who she was I decided to quickly apologize.
“What the fuck is this! Are you kidding?!” The woman asked angrily. “I am sorry, I was just carried away.” I tried explaining but she wasn’t having any of it.
Jane’s POV.What an animal in a human’s body. As if it was my fault she could not be more careful now I had to bear all the insults, just because I didn't want to cause sin.I lamented on and on until I got to my office. I checked the time and it was just a few minutes away from the closing hour which was 5:00 pm.I reached for my bag which was positioned on the table, and began to stalk all my belongings in it and of course, the document which I needed to make some corrections in wasn't an exception.Soon the anticipated time arrived and I took my leave.I made a stop at a store to get the kids a snack which they loved and my parents their favorite biscuit.I felt Deja vu as I opened the house door and met cute Keana waiting for meShe kept on repeating the same habit.“Keana,” I called out softly.I had noticed a change in her behavior lately. She started becoming too quiet.Keana was not as troublesome as her brothers but not this sluggish and quiet almost
Jane’s POVAs the man turned around, our eyes met and there he was, the man who had turned my life upside down years ago – Jaxson Sinclair. My feet wobbled beneath me, and for a moment, I thought I might collapse. It was him, the same man I had that one-night stand with at the party. A rush of memories flooded my mind – the music, the champagne, and the undeniable attraction that had pulled us together. But what followed that night was nothing short of a nightmare. As I stepped into the room, I couldn't help but clench my fists in anger. The anger I had buried deep inside resurfaced like a storm. I remembered how I had written that letter, pouring my heart out, reminding him of our encounter, and informing him about my pregnancy. But there was no response, no acknowledgment, nothing. It was as if I didn't exist.Mr. Bryan's voice brought me back to the present. "Jane, glad you could make it. I'd like you to meet an old friend of mine, Jaxson Sinclair."I
Jaxson’s POVI couldn't believe it when I saw her walking away from me, her back turned, and an uncompromising stride in her step. My heart sank, and I quickly realized that Jane had no intention of stopping to talk to me."Jane!" I called out once again with my voice carrying a sense of urgency. But she didn't respond, didn't even glance back.I watched her for a moment, frustration building inside me. I didn't want to cause a scene in the middle of the office, especially not to cost her her job. With a heavy sigh, I turned and walked away, heading back to my friend's office. It wasn't the way I had hoped our first meeting would go after all these years of not seeing each other, but I couldn't understand her reluctance to engage with me.As I entered my friend's office, I couldn't help but replay the encounter in my mind. Jane's anger and coldness stung, but I couldn't blame her for feeling that way. After all, we never spoke after that heated night. I h
Jane’s Pov As I watched Jaxson answer his phone and get lost in his conversation, a sense of frustration washed over me. I had been on edge ever since our unexpected encounter at the office, and now it seemed like fate was determined to keep pushing him into my life. Without waiting for him to finish his call, I made a quick decision. I needed to distance myself from this situation, at least for now. I walked away from him and hailed a passing taxi and quickly climbed inside, giving the driver instructions to take me home. As the taxi pulled away from the office building, I let out a long sigh, trying to calm the storm of emotions raging inside me. Seeing Jaxson again stirred up memories and feelings I thought I had buried long ago. I looked out of the window, watching the city streets pass by. "I hope this won't become an everyday thing," I muttered to myself, a mix of frustration and resignation in my voice. The thought of having to navigate this unexpected reunion with Ja
Jane’s POVWe finally arrived at the hospital with a combination of worry and uncertainty. The moment we rushed through the hospital doors with Keana in my arms, a team of nurses and doctors were there to take her from me. I felt a sense of helplessness as they took her away, disappearing into the maze of white-walled corridors.I stood there, trembling and unable to control the tears in my eyes from where they had taken my little girl. My heart felt like it was trapped in despair, and I couldn't stop my mind from racing with terrifying thoughts.Sarah stood beside me with her hand gently resting on my shoulder as she tried to offer me some comfort. "Jane, she's in good hands. The doctors will take care of her." she said and gave me a warm smile.I couldn't shake the feeling of fear that had settled in my chest. "What if something's seriously wrong with her?" I whispered with my voice filled with fear.Sarah gave me a reassuring smile. "We won't know until they figure it out. But w
Jane’s POVMy mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions. Jaxson Sinclair, the man who had been absent from our lives since that fateful night, was now on the other end of the line. I couldn't help but feel a surge of anger and frustration, knowing that he had the audacity to contact me after all this time.I got angry and ended the call immediately without responding to him. After ending the call, I blocked his number so he wouldn't be able to call me again. As I did that, a rush of mixed emotions consumed me. My heart was still pounding, and the shock of hearing his voice over the phone left me feeling unsteady. How did the idiot get my phone number? And most importantly, why is he calling me? What does he want from me now?Sarah entered the room and her face turned into concern as she saw the turmoil on my face. My heart danced with joy, and I couldn't help but express my gratitude."Thank you so much, Mr. Bryan," I exclaimed, my eyes sparkling with happiness. “I couldn't have done this without you sir.” she continued. He smiled warmly with his eyes filled with pride. "It's my pleasure, Jane. You've earned this opportunity."I was still riding the wave of happiness when Mr. Bryan surprised me by reaching into a small refrigerator he had in his office. He pulled out a bottle of champagne, and my eyes widened in surprise."There's no need for you to pour me some champagne," I protested, not

It was a rare chance to let loose, have fun, and momentarily set aside the responsibilities of motherhood. I could already envision the laughter, dancing, and shared memories that awaited us.When Sarah returned to the room, I smiled and said, "I'm in!."Sarah's face lit up with joy, and she let out a jubilant cheer. "Yes! We're going to have the best time tonight!"Her enthusiasm was infectious, and I couldn't help but share in her excitement. The prospect of a carefree night out with friends was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.Sarah grabbed my hand and started dancing around the room once more, her energy and excitement obvious.
