Chapter 76

JANE's POV

It was the longest wait of my entire life. It seemed like the cars were moving slower. I wished I could push all of them out of my way but that is nearly impossible. I finally got out of the traffic but I was already thirty minutes late. Fear gripped me. I was scared of being fired. When I got to the parking lot, I developed anxiety when I saw Jaxson’s car parked outside. I knew I was already in a big mess. I knew he was going to yell the whole building down. I wore my shoes and took my bag inside. They were having a general staff meeting and all eyes were fixed on me when I opened the door to enter. I wished for the ground to open and swallow me but it didn't work. Jaxson turned and looked at me, and as expected, he began to yell.

“Who hired me incompetent hands? Just take a look at the time you are coming to work. It would be even better if you stayed at home. You are over an hour late. How irresponsible can you be?
