Chapter 60

Jane's POV

I woke up the next day feeling refreshed. I stretched my body in the direction of the sunset. I had a good night's rest and there were no kids jumping on my body. I wondered why my kids were not in my room yet. I stood up from my bed and reached for my phone. I was hoping to see a message from Bryan but there was none. He didn't reply to my messages or return my calls.

"This is really strange; it is unlike Bryan. He calls me back whenever he misses my calls. Could something be wrong with him? My smile faded away slowly as I stared at my phone. I put it down and went to my kid's room, where they were having their bath and singing their favorite cocomelon song. Esther was doing a good job with my kids; I should give her a raise. I went to Sarah's room but she was not there. I knew the only place she could be was in the kitchen. So I went downstairs and I found her making something for Jacob.
