JANE’s POV

Could my eyes be deceiving me? Do I need to start wearing glass lenses?

I recognized the figure walking and looking around the gallery; he walked past me. Could it be that Ben didn't see me or is it that he couldn't remember me? I won't blame him if he doesn't recognize me. I was very skinny when I was still in high school. I faced my painting but this time I stopped vibing to the music. I struggled to maintain my posture.

“Excuse me, please, where can I find the Sunrise painting? It is from the last season’s collection. Is it still available?

"No, sir, it is not, but we have so many new paintings; you can look around; we have something similar to that. I was talking but somehow I was interrupted by him.

“Do I know you from somewhere?

“I don't think so, sir. I knew he was going to recognize me but I wasn't ready for any unnecessary pleasantries so I acted like I hadn't seen him before.
