What Evangeline did not know was that just as she walked out of the salon, Celina sent David a message.

Following Walter's orders, David secretly watched over Evangeline until he personally saw her return to the villa at the Emerald of the Highlands.

So, when he found out that Evangeline had come to the salon for a facial, he followed her there. He was a regular at the salon, and he trusted that Celina would recognize his car and would not do anything to Evangeline.
