"That's my father's..."
"Yeah I know that's your father's company."
He said beaming. It would be so nice if Azriel got accepted. If only I had a say in the matter, I would have convinced dad into taking him but I wasn't associated in family business. I never thought of working for it when I already got everything I ever needed without working hard for it.
"I would talk to my brother into hiring you to the company."
I offered with a big smile but he wasn't even smiling anymore.
"No, Davina I am not being nice to you for that purpose. I think I've given my most honest answers in the form and if they like it, they would call me for an interview and I want to clear it myself. I want to judge my potential, and I will only be accepted if I'm deserving. Please don't do anything for me, Davina. I respect that you're willing to do it for me but I would rather prefer to achieve things that I truly deserve."
He was such a great hard worker,
"No, it's alright. We don't have much to catch up on. It's the same chat over businesses and families."Dylan said, and I knew how annoyed he gets from those conversations. He was the type of person who enjoyed more chats on random stuff, like games, music, sports, events, etc. . . ."Oh! You're right, I guess. "There was probably nothing more Niall would have said."You both can talk on privacy. I'll go back to my room. "Dylan suggested."No, it's alright. We can go to Davina's room, right? "He asked me."Yeah, why not? "I said as I rose from the couch. And Niall followed me to my room."It feels like ages since I have been here. It still smells the same... Books, candles, and...you. your smell is still my favorite."His words made something, tingle in my pit. He remembered how my room smelled and how I smell. And I thought he never noticed."Well, have a seat."
A waitress directed us towards a vacant table and tables here on the rooftop were mostly distant from each other as they were specifically meant for date purposes. But in my case, I just liked to visit here because of the great weather and scene of whole Las Vegas from here. It was beautifully decorated with candles and lighting, and in a way, that wind wouldn't be any bothered while we dine. We gave ordered our food, Azriel was mostly quiet and asked me to go for ordering the food even for him. I ordered Mexican food and he didn't seem to mind."How was your day? "I asked him."Pretty plain, like always, I was busy at the flower shop. "He answered and took a sip from his glass of water."Why do you work there? I mean, you're definitely working there for the money, I assume. Then, why work so hard for it? "I asked him the obvious question that came to mind. He was so hard working when managing the flower shop, which he d
"Umm... Yeah, it was relaxing. "I felt energetic today."Good... I think I should get going now, I've to go home before reaching the office. "He said as he pulled over his T-shirt, which I have no idea when he pulled off."Sure. See you later. "I said as he we walked towards the door of my room and he planted a kiss on my forehead. I closed the door as he left. After taking a shower and having breakfast, I left for my father's office. I used to visit there almost every day, I liked visiting it."Good morning dad. "I said as I reached my father's cabin. The most prominently built office of the building. With a few of the most expensive paintings and fine pieces of furniture and gadgets."Morning, Dove. "My father said as he pulled me into a hug."I heard Niall stayed at home last night? "The happiness was evident in his voice. My father would be the happiest person
Benjamin was standing right at the door and greater me with a warm smile as he saw me. I reciprocated the action and was about to say something when he moved aside and I saw Alantino Russo sitting on of the chairs in our conference table. He was sitting so casually as if he was the owner of this property. The fuck was he doing here? My blood boiled seeing him and there was no way, I was going to spare him for this audacity. I walked right past Benjamin, I didn't care about him anymore."How dare you enter my property?! Get out!"I commanded but he didn't budge. Just smirked."What's the matter Valerie? Calm down. It's me who invited him here."Benjamin stated to my shock. Was he crazy to invite Alantino here? He already knew about our messed relationship. Yet he acted as if he didn't know anything."What? Why have you called him here?"Was my obvious question, I looked at Alantino as I asked Benjamin."I think
I started observing his sharp features. The jawline, the nerves, his nose, closed eyes, eyelashes...and lips. They were so beautifully designed. He looked so angelic and no-one could tell how dangerous man he was, in this state."What are you looking at?"He questioned as he found me glaring."You looked so calm and peaceful."I told."I'm nowhere near to calm and peaceful Valerie."He corrected me. Who was he lying to all the time, the world or himself?"Why do you do that Enzo?"Finally I mustered the courage to ask that after observing him for sometime now."Do what?"He sounded clueless."Why do you put on mask in front of people? You aren't completely emotionless Enzo."I tried to insert some sense into him. He was definitely trying to fake the emotionless mask all the time."I know what I am Valerie and it's better you know it too. Don't think of
"We don't care about whatever business you are establishing in Milan. It's not my fucking territory and I don't care whatever happens here, Milan for me is only limited to Rexivo. So, I don't see any point why you decided to organise this meeting here and that too in our presence."Enzo retaliated and for once Benjamin listened without interrupting."I am interested to do this illegal racing business with you and Alantino. You are stronger in southern Italy where the young inducted soldiers would be willing to take part in such racings. But as Milan is the common interest of illegal businesses and investors for it I would like to establish it here, instead of southern Italy."Benjamin said calmly as if he was the most polite man here. We better knew the truth!"And how the hell is it gonna be advantageous for me?"The question proved Enzo was considering the idea of Benjamin."Bets will be made and if your soldiers are capable en
All the affection he simulated, the fake warmth in his eyes, the mask he carried around me and the counterfeit act of tenderness everything was just for show, this wasn't the man I liked. But the thing for which I should be concerned was, why did he faked everything and why was he doing, whatever he was doing with me, now.We reached the door of the bar and a bouncer standing at front of bowed his head in front of Alantino and then smirked when he saw. Was this one of his bars? Or worse was this some kind of fucking place for his men?Alantino opened the door and shoved me forward that I hit my head on the corner and that's when I realised it wasn't some ordinary bar. The lighting was all pink and red in neon and the small area was filled smell of beer and so many floral scents. There were so many small cells inside it and few girls were serving liquor, naked. And the men were touching them wherever they wished to. My throat dried at the sight and I could n
My eyes opened and everything was spinning around me, with my pounding headache. It took me little while to discover a master bedroom with huge dimension and most luxuriously furniture and was decorated with some highly expensive painting and no photographs. I was laid on a king sized bed and a plain white, oversized T-shirt and an oversized pair of shorts.I assume they were of a man. Where was I? Was I in the Russo mansion? I managed to recall what car hit me but I couldn't remember anything else except it's color. Black. What if I am back in the trap of Alantino. I couldn't stay here, I had to escape fast. I didn't even knew what time it was. It was so strange that the room was completely furnished except for clock, photographs and an empty walk-in closet, I got a peek of it as the door was slightly open and it was all vacant.I got up from the bed and opened the door without making any noise, the corridor was completely dark except the lights coming from outside as t
