“How dare you speak back to me! You filthy rouge. Don't you know what you are in this park? You're nothing and you're about to live your worst life ever here. You're going to die and I'll make sure it's by my hands.”
I smirked, spitting out the blood that was forming in my mouth and glared at her, not backing down. She got more furious and growled at me, claws coming out of her fingers, ready to attack me when Logan grabbed her by her waist, nuzzling his nose in her neck. “Calm down Valerie, you don't need to get angry because of a bitch like her.” “You need to punish her, Logan. Did you see the way she looked at me? I'm sure she plans to do something evil to me later. I don't like her and I want you to kill her immediately, right now!” Valerie whined. I rolled my eyes as I watched them, disgust evident on my face. Logan looked up at me, angrily his eyes changing colors. He growled and stalked towards me. “How dare you disrespect my mate and Luna of my park? He yelled, making me bow my head, squeezing my eyes, and waiting for him to hit me or fling me somewhere. My head shot up as soon as I heard what he said. Fresh tears brimmed my eyes and I could stabbing pains in my chest. “What do you me—?” I started to ask but he cut me off with a loud growl. “You don't speak until you're asked to! I gave you rules and you broke them!? How dare you try to question me!?” I whimpered and tilted my head to the side, showing that I'm submitting to him. I hated that my body was programmed to act that way but I had no choice. “I think you need to be taught a lesson to make you think straight and know your place here. You think you can just act like you want? I'll make sure you regret your actions today.” He sneered at me. “No, no. I'm sorry. Please don't. I begged as I started to panic. Images of me being punished in my former park played in my mind, making me struggle to breath. Please, don't punish me.” I begged over and over. “Shut the fuck up!” He growled at me before yanking me up with force and dragging me by my hair, making me see stars. “Let me go, let me go.” I screamed out but it was like I was talking to a brick. “That serves you right, you filthy bitch.” Valerie chuckled as I was dragged to God knows where. “Where are you taking me to?” I screamed, as he dragged me down a stairs, which looked like a path to a basement. Realization soon hit me as we passed through a door to see different cages and rooms with small windows. “No!” I screamed out. “You can't lock me up. Just let me go or kill me, you don't lock me up. Please, please don't.” My plea fell on deaf ears because he just kept dragging me till we reached a small cage and pushed me inside, making me hit the floor hard. The cold, biting my skin. I stood up immediately and rushed to him, holding his arms. I felt the electricity and sparks run through my body. I've not felt it for a minute before he pushed me roughly away from him. “I thought we were mates, how could you do this to me!? Can't you feel the sparks? How can you let me be tortured?” I watched him as he glared at me, his eyes dead, blank and devoid of emotion. It looked like he could see deep into my soul whenever he looked at me like that and I didn't like it, so I looked away, feeling uncomfortable. He stared at me for a while before he locked the gate and left. For a moment, I thought he was going to hold me in his arms and apologise for everything, telling me he was putting on a show, but a girl can just dream, right? I scooted to the far end of the cage, wrapping my arms around me, a terrible headache forming at the back of my eyes. I was dirty, smelling and covered in bruises. My hair was matted and my stomach growled with hunger. I sniffed as I wiped away my tears. After some time, I heard some footsteps and I looked up, thinking it would be Logan, or just someone bringing me food but to my disappointment, it was neither. I stared at the person as he squatted in front of the gate. He titled his head to the side, like he was analyzing me. His aura was very off and I wasn't comfortable with him around. I struggled to see his face too, cause it was dark. “Who are you and why have you been staring at the Alpha with a type of look on your face? It was as if you realized something or you've known each other from somewhere before? Which is it?” I looked away from him, not wanting to answer because I wasn't sure who he was and Logan already warned me not to tell anyone we were mates. I broke his rule of talking back to Valerie and he locked me up here. If I should tell this strange person we are mates, he's probably going to kill me instantly. “You know, Logan has never brought any rogues back home, he killed them right on the spot but you're quite different and I want to know why. Why didn't he just kill you like the rest, huh?” He chuckled maniacally. “I don't know what you're talking about.” I said, my voice breaking. “I have no idea about what you're trying to say.” “Oh, I'm sure you do. I know you're mates with Logan. I could see it in your eyes and you don't have to deny it.” He laughed out then stopped abruptly. “You made a grave mistake by coming to this park, Lily! You should have allowed Logan to kill you!”“What do you mean by that? What mistake did I make by coming here? How do you even know my name?” I asked, curious, confused and disturbed. “How did you get in here? Show your face, you coward.” I said, trying to act stronger that I look.I stared at the man squatting in front of me, trying to figure him out but I couldn’t. His voice sounded familiar but I couldn’t place where I heard it from. “You’re in no position to ask me questions, rogue. You came here at the wrong time and if you think you can ruin my years of hard work, you’re wrong. I’ll kill you before then.” This park is no place for you to be and if you think you can have the alpha as your mate, you are very wrong. Rogues are to be killed and soon, you will be!” He said, his hands tightening around the cage bars with rage. “Can you just explain yourself better? I have no idea what you’re talking about and how did you know we’re mates? Who exactly are you and—?” I didn’t complete my statement before he was away in a
The moongoddess hates me. I know that now. Right from when I started to suffer in my last pack, to this very moment of being caught after trying to escape. She hates me. I'm weak, with no wolf. I can't fight to save my life and my mate doesn't want me. The plan was to start a new life entirely, forgetting about Logan, but that can't happen anymore. I groaned as I tried to push the body off me, but it felt like I was trying to lift a heavy rock, it was impossible. I could feel my body get hot and electricity zap through my body. The tip of my fingers were left with a tingling sensation. I had been caught by Logan. He got off me in a flash, and took a few steps away from me and I got up fast on my feet, about to run again when I crashed onto a hard wall. I stepped back and looked back to see what stopped me from running when I saw that it was Logan and the hard walk was his toned body. His hair was wet and disheveled and I could tell that he just had his bath. His eyes were black,
I laid on the floor in my cage, weak and tired from crying so much. I put the maid in danger and Logan didn't hesitate to deal with her. He whipped her for over an hour and at some point, he forced me to watch her. He didn't stop until she was unconscious. I closed my eyes tightly and the picture of her battered body flashed in my mind. Logan had thrown me back in the cage and told me he'd be back. I sniffed and sat down, trying to clear my head. A mate is supposed to be your special someone, who you share a connection with. I always wished to find my mate and I daydream of how he would treat me, love me and cherish me but I got a monster who rejected me. I was about to fall asleep when I heard two voices talking. I could tell one was Logan because I could sense him. The other person was a female and from the scent, I could tell it wasn't Valerie. I scooted closer to the entrance of the cage so that I could hear them well. "How could you lock her up, Logan? She's your mate!" Th
The next morning, I woke up feeling hungry. My stomach growled all through the night, so as soon as I woke up, I brushed my teeth and left the room in search of food. I walked around for a while, getting lost in the castle, but it wasn’t for long because I was able to find the kitchen. I opened it to find different servants bustling and working, looking serious. None of them looked approachable and I was about to leave when a voice stopped me. "Why are you leaving? Aren't you here to get something to eat?" I looked back to check the owner of the voice to see that is was a male who looked like he was around my age or younger. I smiled and nodded my head slowly. "Come on in." He said, smiling and I followed him back into the kitchen. He brought out some slices of bread, lettuce, tomatoes and onions and started to make me a sandwich. I liked my lips and my stomach growled out, making me bow my head in embarrassment. "That wasn't my stomach." I squeaked out. "Yeah, it sure wasn't."
Before I could blink, I was up against the wall with Logan’s hand wrapped around my neck. He wasn't squeezing it yet, but he applied pressure enough to make me gasp for breath. "What did I tell you about how to speak?" He growled at me. "What gave you the right to speak to your future Luna like that!?""I saw her flirting with one of the male servants in the kitchen instead of coming to my room to help me with things that I had planned for the day. You had to see how she was all over the servant." Valerie tutted. Logan growled loudly, scaring me. I could feel the anger rolling off him through the mate bond and the pressure on my neck was getting tighter. I brought up my hand and put it on his, gently, looking deep into his eyes. "Calm down, Logan." I whispered and I saw something flicker in his eyes but it was gone as soon as I saw it. Logan growled out angrily again before releasing me and running out. "You're lucky he didn't break your neck this time but I promise you, that the
"What…what do you mean by that Valerie?" I stuttered. "I don't think I have to fight with you. I don't want to fight with you, I'm good.""Are you scared?" Valerie teased. "I don't care if you want to spar with me or not. Come into the clearing and let's get started." She said sternly, "I don't see a reason why I should. I'm not even dressed for a fight. How am I supposed to fight you in a gown? It won't be a fair fight because you're fully dressed for this and I'm not." "You're talking too much, rouge." Valerie said with a fake yawn. "I didn't ask for any stories from you. Why are you explaining so much? Do you really think I care? Get in here!"I clenched my fist as I looked at her. We both knew the sparring wasn't going to be like a normal one. She had another agenda and I could see it in her eyes. She was going to beat me up. "We don't have all day, rouge. I have to get ready for my party later tonight. If you're going to be my servant, I need to know how you can protect me. I
Logan’s povI groaned out as I ran my hands through my hair. These past few days have been frustrating for me. I found my mate but I rejected her. I just had to.It was a different thing if she was just a weakling but she wasn't just that. She is a rouge and I can't deal with that but why haven't i been myself these past few days. I should have just let her or go or just kill her on the spot. "You will do no such thing. My wolf snarled at me. I could feel her wolf when we found her but because you rejected her, I can't anymore." "She has a wolf?" I asked, surprised. "Yes, she does. You dumb ass. How could you reject mate?" He growled. I ignored and shut my wolf out before he started to lecture me on how I wasn't supposed to reject my mate. He of all people knows why I hated rogues but all of a sudden he wants me to accept Lily. Nothing was going to change my mind. I'd have Valerie as my mate, not one pathetic weak rougue. The only problem I was fighting was the mate bond. It's
Logan’s POV "Leo, I need you to find Lily." I spoke to my wolf, but he didn't respond. "I know you're in there and this isn't the time to give me an attitude. We need to find Lily. I think she's badly hurt." "So, now you care?" He growled at me. "Leo, I want you to try and reach her wolf, right now!" "I can't Logan. She's in there but I can't reach her." Leo whined. "Nothing must happen to mate." "Oh, fuck!" I muttered to myself as I ran out of Valerie’s room to the training ground. I got there and took in a deep breath, trying to locate her scent but it was pretty difficult to. It was the training ground, a lot of scents were mixed together with the smell of sweat. I looked around, trying to see if I'd find her, but I couldn't. I yelled out in frustration, I could still feel the pain in my hand. "Leo, I need you to take over and try to locate Lily, I can't smell her." "Alright, Logan." Leo replied, taking control. "If anything happens to mate, I won't forgive you." "Just fi
