87. I'm no one to keep you stay

Cutting the call Emma slumps on her bed, her stomach growling wildly. But her head was fixed on Shawn. She was feeling pitiful recalling his disconcerted eyes and woeful face. It pricks the needle to her heart and she was feeling terribly heavy from inside. When a soft knock lands on her door and her head snaps toward it.

Her eyes moistened to find Shawn with a tray on his hands and adding guilt to her made her feel more pathetic.

I intentionally tried to hurt him while he still brought food for me, she says to herself feel iniquity.

“Can I come in?”, he seeks her permission and with a sealed lips she gives a small nod.

Words felt tied to the back of her throat, scared that they might say hurtful things to him again. And that's when her conscience hits her asking why she cares about his feelings when he didn't even respect her feelings before cheating.
