LEO’S POV

I must admit, she seems quite intelligent from the way she spoke earlier. Working together might not be so bad, but only as long as our opinions don’t clash.

“Okay, I think we’ll discuss it tomorrow,” she said, excusing herself. As she turned to leave, she bumped into Mark.

“Oh, sorry about that,” Mark said, and she gave him a quick nod.

“So much bumping into people on my first day,” she muttered, before walking away. Mark shook my hand and continued talking.

“Did you hear about the new bar opening tonight near the university? You should come check it out with me.” His tone was eager, but my attention had already shifted to Rachel disappearing down the hall.

“I’m not interested,” I replied, starting to walk toward my next class.

“Oh, come on, Leo,” Mark pressed, following me as I shook my head in disapproval.
