Chapter 48-new challenging

Jaclyn's POV

As the car turned into the pack territory, I noticed a group of children playing near the entrance. In the middle were a few older boys holding Zippos, carefully lighting firecrackers on the ground.

Along the walls, a few girls, dressed in bright colors, stood, covering their ears. They seemed torn between wanting to watch and being afraid to look, a sight that brought back memories of my own childhood.

Parking the car on the side, I shook off my momentary daze and opened the door. "Uncle Jaclyn, Uncle Jaclyn!" a familiar voice rang out, and that's when I saw him.

Among the kids setting off firecrackers, surrounded by a circle, was Henry Louis, the little rascal from the Louis family.

Due to his younger age and smaller stature, I hadn't noticed him at first. He was a lively, mischievous, yet exceptionally clever kid.

From a distance, I reminisced about our own childhoods. When we were kids, Henry Louis, despite being the youngest, always took charge.
