Frank couldn't sleep. He kept tossing and turning on his bed. Finally, when he was able to rest his eyes, it was already three in the morning. Despite the little amount of sleep he managed to get, he was up by six in the morning when his alarm went off. It was time to get up and start the day. He had ordered the men to bring the new shipment of goods to the shack in the woods early in the morning where they would sort out and send them off in different directions.
"Did you carry me last night?" Jeniffer's melodious voice made him look in her direction. She was sitting on the couch and it seemed as though she was waiting for him to wake up. Her hair was pulled up in a high bun and was still wearing the button-up shirt and black pants she was wearing yesterday. He stared at her, wondering how anyone could look so breathtaking early in the morning.
Frank was dumbfounded. He couldn't do anything besides staring at the goddess who was descending the stairs. He had seen the gown before, however, this was the first time he was seeing her wear it. He had always thought that she was attractive, yet seeing her all dolled up was something else. The dress revealed the right amount of skin on her chest and shoulders and hugged her figure perfectly. The simple, yet elegant design looked as though it was specially made for her. The make-up she wore enhanced her soft features and her hair-do was flawless. However, what polished her look was the lovely smile she wore on her luscious lips. When she halted in front of him, the alluring scent of her perfume made his mouth water."Let's go?"
Todd kept taunting Frank with his smirk. Frank never danced with the women he slept with. He never showed them any kind of affection. They were more like furniture to him. Todd was almost certain that Frank would decline dancing with her, however, he was taken by surprise when he looked at Jennifer and raised his eyebrows. "Will you dance with me?" He asked and she flashed her best smile. "Of course." Frank's father and Todd watched as they walked towards the centre of the dance floor hand in hand. Dissatisfied by the outcome, Todd glared at them with a critical squint. He saw them move together, yet, he was still sceptical. Gritting his teeth, he scrutinised their movements. He felt that their movements were a bit weird. That they were too st
The Mafia lord Parker narrowed his eyes at Rudolph. Indeed he had been working hard for his organisation and had it not been for the commendable work he had done during the past month, he wouldn't have given him a chance to speak."You better have a good explanation for this," Parker stated, his eyes still narrowed on the middle-aged man who seemed to be despondent."I….. I don't know…… I… it has been more than a month since I last spoke to her. I don't know any of this." He stammered. To say Rudolph was scared would be an understatement. He had been trying extremely hard to be on their good side. He had even risked his life when he sneaked into Frank's office that night to steal his laptop, hoping it would lead them to what they had wanted the whole time. It did have the information, yet it was misleading. However, his h
Rudolph sped in his car to his apartment. He had vowed to himself that he wouldn't return until he managed to make his mission a success. Yet, returning home had become a part of succeeding. Never had he thought that he would have to come back to punish his maid. Or that he would have to plan an attack against his daughter."She should have known better than to date him! Oswald is a way better choice than that good for nothing Gotham!" Seething, he steered the wheel of the car. The tips of his fingers were white with the force he was grabbing onto the steering wheel.Never did he think that he would see a day that he would have to go home because of a situation like this. When he went home, he was a little surprised to see it locked. Using his key, he unlocked the door and entered the house. The ho
As planned, Fox stealthily arrived at Gotham's mansion. Hiding in the shadows of the thick bushes, he spied on their movements. The men wore hats lowered onto their faces to hide their identities, and to Fox that was an advantage. That would only make it easier to pretend to be one of them. He waited patiently. He knew it would be best if he could find someone who was the same build as he was.He knew time was limited and that he had to get the work done by dawn because once the sun rises, it would be too late. He looked around. Four guards were armed with loaded guns at the main gate. Two lookouts were at the side gate and one other patrol was policing on the side. His focus was on the lone patroller. The build was somewhat the same as he was hence, he hastened to make his move. Fox remained in ambush as the guard patrolled. He was keenly waiting for him
It was time to have breakfast and as usual, the Gotham family gathered in the dining room. Ignorant about what was happening, they began to eat. However, the peace of the environment was disrupted as soon as they started to have their food. At first, it was the sound of footsteps. Frank and his father realised that something was not right. Nevertheless, they weren't able to react before five masked intruders who were completely dressed in black, rushed into the dining room."Freeze!"They were taken by surprise when the armed men who were covering their faces swarmed into the dining area. Stunned, Jennifer gaped at them, wide-eyed. Involuntarily, she grabbed onto Frank's arm as her heart thudded hysterically."Frank….." She gasped. She had seen such scenes in action movies. Never in her life
"Jenny…." Frank called her once again. Apparently, she was stunned. "Is this the first time she is seeing blood?" Todd chimed in, and it only irritated Frank. The maid who was huddled in the corner had gathered herself and hastened to bring a glass of water for Jennifer. Frank hurried to give it to her which Jennifer gladly drank. It was only then was she able to look away from the motionless body in front of her and look worriedly at Frank. Her hands trembled as she tried her best not to look at the scarlet droplets splattered all over the place or the dead bodies that were lying all around her. Her eyes held emotions that her tongue couldn't express. Her heartbeat was still frantic. She had seen blood before, however, this was
Frank waited a bit, hoping to catch more of their conversation. "You think so?" Frank heard his father ask. "Of course, there is no question about that. We have everything. The best security systems but still….. I don't know why you have given him this chance, just for him to prove himself." Todd retorted. Frank has had enough. Scowling, he took vigorous steps out of the gate and glared at the duo who were standing right outside. The four security guards were still on standby, and Todd has had the audacity to accuse him of neglect in front of his crew. "Shut up Todd," gritting his teeth, he demanded. "The one who permeated the security had ambushed and killed Jon and taken his place last night. They found his body in the bushes
Jennifer admired her reflection in the mirror. A little smile was constant on her lips. She had never thought that her special day would turn out to be like this. When she grew up, she had hoped that her father would be there for her on this day. That he would walk her down the aisle, holding her hand. Yet, that was far from reality. Her father had proved himself to be nothing but a halfwit. Her wedding gown was nothing short of a masterpiece. The top was embroidered using beads and sequins. The lacy flared skirt gave the gown an elegant look. Although her neckline revealed enough of her cleavage, she was certain that no one would dare look there. No one except the man of her dreams. A long slit on the side revealed her smooth legs. She smirked as she traced the Glock that was strapped to her thigh. Carrying it with her at all times was now a norm for her.
Todd just died? But she didn't pull the trigger...then who did? Gulping, Jennifer studied the lifeless body that lay in front of her.The sight of Todd's motionless body made her gag. Todd was lying on his back, with his eyes wide open, and his face suddenly drained of colour. No signs of life were in him. It was a quick kill. She noticed that the blood was pooling underneath his head but the wound wasn't visible. Which could mean that he was shot on the back of his head. She looked around frantically and spotted Frank at the stairs. However, he wasn't holding a gun. He too was staring bewildered.Just then, Frank's father stepped forward from behind."I told you, Todd was mine to kill," he said."Dad?" Frank was shocked to see his father."I heard what Mike told you. So I followed you upstairs. Didn't you realise that I was following you?" He smirked.Frank shrugged. "I guess
Great! She heard everything!" Todd mumbled squinting at the screen. When they checked the footage, they saw Jennifer and a tall, well-built man, listening to every word they uttered."Everything is ruined! Again! And because of that damned woman!" Todd grumbled, sneering in frustration."She keeps ruining everything for me! She is such a nuisance. I should have gotten rid of her first when I had the chance!" Todd gritted his teeth."What now?" Oswald frowned as he glanced at his father."We don't waste time. We must attack now! Tonight! We must attack at once!" He stated and stood up from his seat."Quick! Call the men! Get ready to fight. We are going to finish them off and leave this place for good!" He decreed."Leaving?" Oswald frowned."Yes. Leaving. We will move to Italy and that's where we will settle down. I am done living in the states. But I'm not going to leave without teaching them
Jennifer sat in the car, with a racing heart. She was excited and anxious at the same time. She was going back home after a long time. She wondered what her nanna would say.Would she be excited to see her? Would she hug her like she always does? An involuntary smile curved her lips as she thought about her reunion with the woman she loved and respected as a mother. She knew she most probably would have to explain a lot. But one thing was certain. Her nanna would be happy to see her happy.Sighing, she glanced outside. She was as excited as a little child who was seeing the passing city lights for the first time. Life had taken an unexpected turn for her. When she was first taken as a prisoner, she had never thought that she would fall for the ruthless Don, who showed no mercy. She chuckled. Who kn
Todd went to meet Oswald. He didn't know what else to do. He couldn't possibly go anywhere that they could get their hands on. His life was, without a doubt, in danger. His uncle wouldn't spare him.He knew what would happen. They would detect the presence of cyanide and then look for him. When they don't find him, they will check the CCTV footage. What he sees on the footage will take things from bad to worse. Todd was certain that his uncle would kill him as soon as he saw him. He could no longer hide in any place he knew. His uncle would know each of his hideouts and most probably, send his men everywhere to catch him."What happened?" Frowning, Oswald asked as soon as he reached the bar Todd had asked him to go urgently. The place wasn't very popular and was located a good distance away from Frank's mansion. Todd had gone the
Frank's father sneered from time to time, his eyes glued to the screen. They were in the security room, going through the security footage of the mansion. They couldn't find Todd in the mansion. The security guards at the main gate at that time had seen him leave in his car so Frank and the others had opted to check the security footage."That insolent jerk!" Frank's father growled when he saw Todd emptying the contents of a small bottle into the bottle of wine he had taken from the kitchen cabinet. Everything happened as Jennifer had told them. Barton took the bottle from him and went to do what he was asked to. Jennifer and Frank along with Mike and other men who Frank and his father trusted the most were with them. They saw how he advanced at Jennifer and held her tight, but she managed to escape after kicking him in the crotch.
"Barton, my good man, I need a little help from you. Take this bottle. And serve Frank. Miss Jennifer had bought this for him and forgotten this bottle here in the kitchen. As you know this is his favourite brand of liquor." Todd handed the bottle to the worker. "Remember, serve this especially to my cousin." Jennifer couldn't believe what she was hearing. She hadn't bought a bottle of liquor for Frank. She couldn't understand what Todd was talking about. After the revealing of her painting, she had gone to the kitchen to look for Ron as she wanted to ask him to serve the food he had prepared. However, she couldn't find Ron. Instead, she found Barton, the worker who was supposed to be in charge of the drinks for the nig
Todd dashed up the stairs and ran towards his room. His heart frantically beat in his chest. Lentils of sweat dripped down his sideburns. He didn't know Frank was listening to his conversation. He had been extremely careful about his connection with Oswald yet it was ruined with just a phone call.He growled as he picked up a vase on the side table and threw it on the floor. The pieces of ceramics scattered on the marbles with a loud crash. Sneering angrily, he stormed towards the balcony in the room.He didn't bother about the little ceramic pieces that crushed underneath his shoes as he walked over them. He walked towards the railing and grasped the cold metal of the railing with all his might."Damn him!" He grumbled under his breath. Seething in anger, he reached out for the pack of cigarettes in his pocket. After lighting up one of them, he blew a few puffs of smoke into the atmosphere, hoping that it would calm
Days passed since Mike was told to keep an eye on Todd. He made sure that Todd didn't leave the mansion without his knowledge. He kept watching his every move discreetly. When he didn't notice anything absurd, he started to listen to his phone calls too. However, he saw nothing to be concerned about."What is the news on Todd? Did you find anything I should worry about?" Frank asked Mike on their way to the shed.Shaking his head, "no, boss. Nothing. He doesn't leave the house much. And if he leaves, it usually will be for work in the shed."Mike's reply wasn't satisfactory. Frank was certain that something was odd. They couldn't have known to attack them at that particular restaurant that night unless they were continuously spying on them or unless Todd had informed them about their whereabouts.Frank narrowed his eyes as he recalled how the masked attacker had groped her that night. He wa
