BLAIR

Jaya wasn’t kidding when she said Emily knew how to do makeup. When she was done, she nervously told me to look in the mirror. I’ll admit I was a little scared at first but when I’d faced the mirror, I was pleasantly surprised.

The makeup was light and natural. And it was more focused on highlighting my features.

“I didn’t know I was this pretty.” I said, still admiring her hard work in the mirror. Emily and Jaya both laughed at that. “Really, Emily, thank you so much. I love it.”

I got up and pulled her into a hug.

“I’m glad. And you can call me Em.” She smiled. “That’s what family calls me.”

I smiled even though my lips wobbled for a reason I couldn’t tell.

“Okay, I can’t wait anymore. We need to see the dress.” Jaya claps, making us move back and go to check the outfit.

Since the makeup was nude, even down to my lips, we hadn’t bothered to check what Lucian picked out. Somehow I trusted him enough to not even be bothered.

If what he picked out for me for the ball said anythin

LUCIANThe quickie with Blair was just what I needed to be able to go through with this meeting. Not even my strongest liquor could give me the patience to deal with those distasteful old men.Just like the president had a cabinet and a senate, werewolf packs have council members. As the alpha, I had all control, but there were things I couldn’t do without consulting them first.Like getting married. It wasn’t a big problem since many alphas have mated and marked their mates the second they met. The fact that I went the full route and got married was what made them even more interested in meeting with her.And I have a feeling they are suspecting she is a human. They don’t live on pack grounds often. Since they were traveling all around. And keeping tabs of pack related business in other places. I know they haven’t heard of the news. Not from anyone in the pack, at least.Maybe whispers around.Rumors spread like wildfire in the werewolf communities. Just like it does in the human wor

BLAIRI’m going to kill Lucian very soon if he doesn’t stop touching me!It is not his fault you like it too much. A sassy voice in my head cackles.I grumble mentally. I couldn’t believe how much my subconscious seemed to like him more than me. How does that even make any sense?I jump a little in my seat when his thumb starts riding high again. Reminding me I didn't have panties on since we discarded it in our…tryst. He is shameless! The men in the room do a good job at keeping their faces blank and their eyes away from us. I wish I could say I was able to remain still since I knew what he was doing this and knew it was coming. But it was like pouring ice cold water on someone. No matter how well they were expecting it, it’ll still shake them up.“Stop it,” I whispered harshly in his ear.Lucian looks at me from the side, a hint of a smile on his lips.He hasn’t been his usual dry humorous self here. He seemed more aloof than anything. Which I guess is how the outside world perceive

LUCIAN It seems Blair wasn’t bothered with the disrespect, or she just didn’t care, or she didn't notice. Whatever it may be, it didn’t sit right with me and I wasn’t going to let it slide. Brandon Smith has, and will always be an asshole. Too old to be fucking alive if you ask me. But of course, the worst ones refuse to die. I’m looking at Blair but my attention is on everyone else in the room. She may be all I may see. But it doesn’t change the fact that I could stab all of them in the heart in less than a minute. “I asked you a question,” I said to him, still not bothering to turn. Blair’s eyes move to my lips, then my eyes. She licks hers, making pleasure zapped through me. God, the things this woman does to me and it is like she doesn’t know how much effect she really has on me. “It is business, I’m sure she won’t be interested.” He says with a laugh that was probably supposed to make light of his misogynistic comment. He was lucky he didn’t say anything more to annoy me,

She rolled her eyes of course, before replying.“A lingerie, B, stop acting like you’ve never seen them before.” She points at my growing bump, which makes me glare at her. In response, she shrugs and smirks victoriously.“That thing is a string, and we don’t know where it starts or ends.” I point to the piece of thread she is holding, because there is not even clothing, and shake my head. “I’m never, ever wearing that.”She turns to the iPad that is sitting on the vanity, where Sasha and Kayla can see what is happening. They insisted on helping me pack for my trip with Lucian. Well, our honeymoon.Speaking of which, I haven’t seen said person since last night after I left the meeting/dinner.I have to say, I was a little disappointed he didn’t come. After all that happened, I thought we’d made some sort of

BLAIR “I swear you act like you’ve never seen lingerie before.” Sasha’s mumble comes through the phone. “This isn't lingerie,” I deadpanned, turning the ‘thing’ in my hand all over, trying to find how it is supposed to work. Clothes have no reason to be this hard to wear. “It is a string of ropes that were poorly tied together.” A string bikini covers more than this does. I don’t even know what the hell it is and how it is supposed to be worn. It does look like a rope though. That I’m sure of. They all mutter some things about how I’m being a prude. “I’m not being a prude,” I said with an eye roll. “I just don’t think I’ll need any of this.” I moved away, heading to my bedside table to drink water. I’ve been parched for a minute there. “We’ll put it just in case.” I paused mid gulp, which made the water almost come back up. Thankfully, I managed it just in time. “No!” I held my free hand up. “I’ll die if anyone sees that.” “It is a gift, B. You gotta take it.” Mikayla is usi

BLAIROn the day of the trip, I woke up in a particularly bad mood and I couldn’t explain why. First, I woke up late and I had to rush.I rushed through my breakfast, which tasted amazing and deserved to be salivated. Only for me to go downstairs and hear Lucian was holding an emergency meeting. I was very close to saying to hell with it and staying home. Who needed a honeymoon anyways?I was also still pissed at him for going back to his ‘let me ignore Blair’ era. So he wasn’t earning any good points by making me wait.Five minutes later, he walked out of the meeting and met with me in the hall. Dressed in a pristine suit, like he wasn’t going to be flying for God knows where. He looked like he was hopping on another meeting. When he saw me, he paused before regaining his composure and keeping stride. He nodded to the guy behind him. I've seen him before but I keep forgetting his name. He smiles and nods at me before going ahead to pick up the travel sized bag I’d kept here, saying h

LUCIANI’d spent more than half the night, last night, thinking of what to do. What to say.It was a dick move to avoid Blair after the dinner. And I know this is no excuse but I didn’t want to. At the same time, I knew it would be for the best.My mind wasn’t in the right place after that dinner and I didn’t want to fuck anything up with her. The dinner had been great for us. How much she seeked comfort from me made me want her. Need her. And not just in the sexual sense. All the confusing emotions I’ve been feeling for the past few weeks multiplied. But I wasn’t worried. This time, I embraced the feeling. I played with the idea of having her by my side forever.I was likely never going to meet my mate. And the closest thing I’ll have to that is Blair. She completes me in a way that even I don’t understand. I have no idea how I’m going to put it into words. How we fit for example. Like she was made for me. BLAIRWhen I woke up from my nap, it took me a few minutes to realize we’re in the air. On our way to our honeymoon. Lucian wasn’t in the room. But he was the one to bring me there. I could remember being in the chair last.I stretched before getting off the bed and walking to the other side of the plane. I found him sitting, still on his phone as he typed furiously.I knew he was a workaholic, but I’m seeing the extent of it now. There was a calmness to him that he didn’t have right now. Something I’ve noticed from the first time we met. He’d seemed like a robot, pretty much acted like one too. But when he got to his home, he became more relaxed. Now he is back to being that stiff monster I disliked.I didn’t know I was frowning until he spoke.“Bad sleep?” I looked up at him and he was already watching me. The phone he’d been seconds away from breaking with his fast typing was on the table, face down. That simple act made my heart want to skip a beat. It meant he was giving me his f

BLAIR “Wow.” The loud exhale made me turn around. Lucian was standing at the door, dressed in a tux with his hair gelled back and looking so hot. And the look in his eyes, the way he was watching me like he wanted to ravish me. It made my lower belly pool with desire and I couldn’t wait for us to get back so he could tear this dress off. “I can’t wait either.” He says against my lips. He got close so fast, thanks to his werewolf speed. It really came in handy most of the time. “You look better than the moon and stars, my love.” I had to clench my thighs when he said that. Those were simple words that have been said a million times. But somehow, when Lucian says ‘my love’ it sounds like the best words to have ever been said in the world. Even better than the words of the angels. “If we don’t leave, I’ll probably undress you and have my wicked way with you.” I stared into Lucian’s dark eyes and nodded, agreeing with him. “If we don’t leave. I’ll let you undress me and have your

BLAIRI stared at myself in the mirror, turning from left to right to make sure the dress fit perfectly. Wait, I know the dress fits perfectly. But I wanted to be double sure. Okay, triple sure. Fine, the millionth time sure.Tonight has to be perfect.“B, you look great from all angles.” Mikayla says while chuckling.I startled a little at the voice I wasn’t expecting. I totally forgot I was on a call with her and Sasha and Jaya.“Kayla is right, B.” Jaya is the one that said that. “You’re making me rethink my sexuality right now.”I breathed in and out slowly.“Give me one more twils mama. That ass looking thiccc.” I rolled my eyes at Sasha but did as she said. The girls all hooted and clapped when I did that, which made me laugh. My girls are literally the best hype women out there.“Okay guys, wish me luck.” I said as I went to pick up the tab, I’d positioned it on a shelf where they could see everything I wanted to show them well.“Hope you get laid tonight.” Mikayla says with a

BLAIR“How did you know the walk was going to be short for me?” I asked the girl when we stopped outside a large abandoned looking warehouse. The doors looked like they were once a blue color but now, they were a lot in hues of white dust and dark brown.“Because I made it short of you.” I looked over my shoulder, looking for my dad. He wasn’t close to us. “Don’t worry they’ll be here in a bit. I think there is someone inside you’ll be more interested in seeing.”“Lucian.” I said, huffing out a breath. She nodded and motioned for me to walk ahead of her.The doors opened as soon as I was close enough, thankfully. I didn’t want to touch it even with a ten foot pole.Warmth enveloped me the second I stepped foot inside the building. I didn’t understand how a place that looked like it was going to be cold from outside would be this warm. Then I looked up and it all made sense. There were many girls, similarly dressed to the one that escorted us, sitting in a circle. They all had somethin

BLAIR“You know.” I said to dad. There was no uncertainty in my voice because I knew damn well what I was talking about.I give him credit for not denying as he lifted his head in a nod. My mouth hangs open in shock and I turn in my seat to glare at him.“What?!” The yell slips past my lips before I could control it. “Why didn’t you tell me?”I asked incredulously. I was feeling a tightness in my chest. A feeling I could only describe as betrayal fills me. I couldn’t believe it.Really, who does that? To their own child!“I only found out recently.” Dad said in his defense but that wasn’t a good enough reason. And he knows that too because he adds. “And I know I should have told you, but what difference would it have made? You’re what, seven months along?”He motioned pointedly to my obvious bump. I scoffed, rolling my eyes. I was still upset and I felt betrayed. I would think mum would keep something like this from me, her idea of protection. But dad? He trusts me. He always believes

LUCIANLiquid fire was shooting through my body. Heating my bloodstreams and everything else. Sweat didn’t only form on my forehead and other parts of my body, it dripped. Like water was being rained on me. It drenched me completely.A low growl starts from my chest. In my head it comes out loud and makes the place shake to its foundation. I feel everywhere move, then again, it might be only my body that is moving. It was like something was drained from my head. Traveling through my whole system and leaving through my feet. I’d looked multiple times to see if there was a fucking snake or something. But it is nothing. The only real and physical sign that this is actually happening, is the sweat that has drenched my clothes completely.I’m sure if you strained it, it would pour. I didn’t even know I was capable of producing such an amount of sweat. No matter how hard I worked out, I rarely sweat like this.God, what the hell is she doing to me?“How long do we have to do this?” I asked.

  • Unexpected Heir For The Alpha   130: Tell Me The Truth

BLAIR“Lucian is fine.” Dad said, squeezing my shoulders gently.Probably for the first time in my life, I doubted him. He looked like he was saying the truth and on any other day I would have believed him. But things aren’t adding up.Lucian went missing and suddenly he is here. From Revdville all the way to Cuba and he wants to tell me nothing is done? I’m not a child and I’m not stupid either.“Why are you here if you know he is fine?” I asked, the accusation clearing my tone.“Can we sit first?” I shook my head adamantly.“Blair, please.” He speaks in that fatherly tone and cupped my cheeks. “For your health, you shouldn’t be stressing yourself.”That made me cave and I took the seat like he suggested.“I’m seated. Now tell me what is going on.” I sounded like a demanding brat and he would have called me out on it any other day. But he let it slide, seeing how shaken I was.“Lucian is fine. And he will be fine.” The way he stresses the second part makes me have more questions. Wha

BLAIRLucian has been gone for the whole day. Well, for the three hours I’ve been awake. I even went out and took a walk around the place. Asking the people I ran into if they’ve seen him. But describing a man to strangers, even your husband, was hard.I liked to believe they understood what the hell I was saying since their answers were all no. I looked around the house more thoroughly when I returned. It isn’t like he is a needle that could get lost. Lucian isn’t even a small person to begin with. And let's not forget the commanding energy he has. I would feel it if he was present. But he isn’t.And I searched everywhere, hoping I would at least find a clue where he went. Or a note that I might have missed by mistake. There was neither of those things. Can a big ass adult go missing?I even considered him getting lost. But the man has better navigation than me. He remembers all the turns in all the places we went. He also had his wolf sense or whatever to tell him if the place he wa

LUCIANI was given a chair while Owen was tied to the ceiling by his hands. His mouth was still gagged but everything else was intact. If you asked me, he got off easy. I would have done worse to him if I were the redhead. But seeing as I was at her mercy too, I didn’t speak.I needed her help, so it is better she ignored him and got started on me.“How long do you think this will take?” I asked. She ignored me and kept moving around the place. Touching stuff and correcting the girls that were now sitting around in a circle. All of them were holding trays that had some weird objects on them. It looked like they were getting ready to perform a ritual. And well, I’m not really keen on being the object of those things.“As long as it takes.” She replied, after taking her sweet time. I’d almost given up on ever getting a response from her.“What exactly are we doing?” I said we, so she wouldn’t feel like I was dumping the work on her.I guess there is nothing I can say that’ll be right in

LUCIAN Before I could put the car in drive. A group of women appeared out of nowhere, rounding our car. They all looked like they were in their early twenties. About fifteen of them, dressed in all black. I glanced at Owen who looked more than relaxed. I wasn’t worried about anything but they were women. “We can’t fight women.” I told him silently. There was a woman, with bright red hair, glaring at the car with so much intensity. You would think she wanted to set us on fire or something. Owen noticed het too because he shrunk in his seat. “There’s a problem.” He whispers to me. I turned to him, seeing his eyes were on her. He was talking, but not moving his mouth as he did so. “You could mindlink, you know.” I told him. Wishing we were in an SUV instead of this car that was so close to the ground. An SUV is already intimidating. But this looked like a toy car to begin with. “In front of seers? That’s very dumb of you to think about.” I rolled my eyes. “Start talking. She lo
