26: Never See Him Again

I knew the party was a success when I received a call from mum very early the next day.

I went down the stairs groggily, still sleepy. We came in late last night, and although I didn't drink. I was still exhausted from all the dancing.

I only danced twice, just to be clear. I couldn’t shake off the heat of Lucian’s gaze on me and it made me clumsy. I’ve been dancing since I was a kid. Heck, I even took ballet. But I almost tripped three times on the dance floor.

That was three times more than it has ever happened in my life.
