Teagan POV.

I can feel him before I see him. I turn to see him standing in the doorway. He has relief flashing in his eyes. I wipe my hands on the apron and move towards him.

“What’s wrong?” I ask him, searching his eyes when he engulfs me in his arms. Pulling me to his chest as he breathes in my scent. I hold him tight.

“Nothing tiger. I just wanted to see you,” he says to me before he moves his face back and I look up at him and he smiles softly at me. He kisses my nose and I smile at him.

“You would tell me, right?” I ask and I know he was lying. Something has happened to have him race back here. He nods his head. He wouldn’t tell me. I notice the subtle changes to his eyes, his face, and body language.

“Want to talk about it?” I ask him, and he shakes his head.

“No, I just need you,” he says, and I chuckle at him.

“So corny,” I try to lighten the mood and he chuckles.
