The snarl beside Theron made me pause. It was ferocious and feral. I turned to see who had made the sound when Reed took a step past Theron, his eyes filled with rage and death.

“Mate,” He declared to no one in particular. I saw he was looking directly at Sera in her wolf form. My eyes widened; could it be true? I looked back to Reed right as Theron went to grab Reed’s shoulder.

“Reed, don’t-” but it was too late; Reed immediately shifted into his massive wolf. He bared his teeth, growling at the Raven witches and anyone stupid enough to get in between him and his mate, stuck in a cage on the opposite side of the field. The witches thankfully stepped back in fear at the colossal wolf stalking them. The Raven by the cage jumped down and yelled at the witches to hold their stances. I looked back at Sera, whimpering in the cage, and my emotions flared. They were holding her hostage. A snarl left my lips as it dawned on me
