“Is this your daily life now?” Elyon yelled at the top of the blasting music of the club. Eon just smiled at his drunk friend. This is the first time that Elyon came to visit him that he invited him inside the club and let him have a taste of the nightlife. He easily got drunk, especially that women that Ehann asked to join them were too eager to please them that they had been crawling in their lap as if their legs were more comfortable than the leather couch.
Eon has been busy, pouring Elyon some drinks not because he wanted to pour him a drink—the jerk can pour his own drinks, he was doing it because he was using it as an excuse to push the woman off his lap. These women appeared to have a hard time understanding that he wasn’t interested in any of them. They kept on rubbing their breast on his arm, sliding their slick fingers on his thighs, and shamelessly climbing on his lap.
In the past, he didn't mind these women's advances, but after giving his words to Lina,
“Dear, I had been thinking if I could post the photos of the flowers that you drew to my social media.” Beatrice asked while Lina was weighing the flour that she needed for the bread that they were going to bake. Beatrice offered to teach her to bake as an exchange for drawing the flowers in her garden. They are in Beatrice’s kitchen learning the art of baking. The kitchen smells the aroma of freshly baked bread and cookies because they had been baking for hours. Lina wasn’t able to do what she was thinking of doing because Beatrice came to her apartment right after Eon left and asked her to come to her house. Now, it’s already past midnight and they are still in Beatrice kitchen baking bread. Beatrice told her that they are going to give away the bread to some homeless person not far from where they live, so she doesn’t have to worry about wasting anything. “Is this the last one?” She asked about the dough that she put inside the machine that would knead it.
Lina was huffing and puffing when she returned to her apartment. She paced the room with her hands on her hips, cursing under her breath. ‘You think you can trust his words? He’s just like everyone. His words were nothing but empty promises.’ She mocked herself inwardly, angrily wiping the tear that escaped the corner of her eyes. She stripped her clothes, kicking them on the way to her room. She disappeared behind her bedroom door with nothing but her underwear. An inconspicuous van that was parked at the parking garage of Lina and Beatrice’s neighbor, a collective sigh escaped the mouth of three men, sitting inside the car, staring at Lina’s closed-door longingly—something that would cause their death if Eon finds out about how they all have their eyes glued on the screen of the monitor, showing Lina stripping her clothes angrily. They had no idea why she was angry but they have no plan to tell Eon about it.Their job is jus
“Hey, get up!” He kicked Elyon that he found sleeping in one of the couches in his office when he came down after taking a shower in his penthouse. He had already changed his clothes into an all-black set of clothes for he received intel from his men that he posted in the port where an ongoing fight over who’s going to control the area. The intel that he got was that one of the main guys from the other group is coming. It is the opportunity they are waiting for because the head of the other group just keeps on hiding. He just gives the orders to his men and it's such a drag. Eon wanted to settle everything as soon as possible for he had too many things to handle and he couldn't keep on dancing around the other group. Resources and lives of his men were being wasted. If he can settle who owned the area, bloodshed would be avoided. They are all businessmen—though none of them are running questionable businesses, still, they are putting money out there and wanting something in
Eon and Elyon huddled up, listening to a conversation happening about five container vans away from them.Eon doesn't know if the other group was just plain stupid or they are too careless. They have some men posted outside their perimeter but most of them were human, not werewolves. He wondered if there was a truth about what Frio told him about Russian brothers, hiring werewolves as their mercenaries. Except for the Rahmonov brothers, he couldn't find any wolf with them."When should we attack them, boss?"His men who had been sitting in this cramped container van asked. He can understand their eagerness to be in a fight. They have been bored to death, sitting in their asses. Just like the three men watching Lina. He wondered how she was. He shoved his hand in his pants pocket and he didn't feel his phone. When he clicked his tongue, his men looked at him nervously. They misunderstood the reason for his annoyance."We aren't going to attack them...yet."
Right as the man dropped to the ground, he heard a gunshot from the direction he came from. And this time, they weren’t hiding the sounds of guns. They wanted to be seen fighting someone who won’t fall down even if hit by a bullet. Those bastards had everything planned. He won’t be surprised if the fight that was happening there is being captured in an HD video.[Stay away from their direct sight. Do not be seen! Pass my order!] He wasn’t sure if his words were picked up by any of his men. They weren’t a pack. He was treated as their boss but not their Alpha, thus, his link to them wasn’t as strong. He wasn’t sure if someone heard his wolf but he had no time to stop to make sure he saw one of his men being hit with a bullet dipped in wolfsbane. “Shit!”“Boss!” The man that missed by the bullet dipped in wolfsbane was surprised to see him.“Be careful! Where’s Trent?” His eyes wer
“Motherfuck…where are you taking me?” His voice sounded so broken and weak in his own ears.“We are taking you to the safe house.” Ehann’s face came to view. His face was ashen and his eyes were full of worry.“How’s Trent?” He whispered, grabbing Ehann’s wrist. His wolf was down, poisoned by wolfsbane.“Trent was okay, boss. Thank you.” Travis’s blurry face hovered in his face while he felt the movement of water and the engine vibration under him. The safehouse that Ehann was talking about wasn’t a house but a boat. It was one of his boats that was docked in the Marina, registered under a name of a girl that he used to play around with, and became a trusted friend.“Elyon?”“He was with Edsel taking care of the damage.”He recognized it as Ehann’s voice but his eyesight was out of focus and he could no longer see anything unles
Lina screamed before hitting the floor and cutting her lips as she fell face down on the cold tile floor. “Fuck!” She wiped the blood that trickled from the corner of her lips and gagged when she tasted the coppery taste of her own blood. She stopped herself from spitting on the floor. ‘Disgusting!’ She thought to herself as she swallowed the blood and saliva that pooled inside her mouth.Shuddering with disgust, she grabbed her phone that was on the floor with her and checked the time—it was quarter to five. She slept for so long her neck and shoulders were so tense with how she curled herself on the armchair. She was drinking and stalking Eon from random girls in IG. It was easy to do since club Luna has been tagged all over the place. Seeing Eon in the company of different women, made her realize her stupidity. There is no way in hell that Eon would stay like what he promised her.Her eyes turned misty and she exhaled a deep breath, clo
“I need to call Lina.” He told Travis to look for his phone but he had been calling for about an hour and he still wasn’t able to reach her. His patient was running low and he couldn’t wait for this damn boat to reach the shore. “Boss, Ehann called.” “What now?!” He snapped at Travis who was squirming. He didn’t really have to hear what he was going to say to know that it’s something that would add to his growing annoyance. “Uhm, she found the cameras you’ve installed in her house.” Travis averted his gaze even though it wasn’t his fault that the boss’s woman found the cameras that had been secretly installed. “Fuck me!” He pulled his hair and a searing pain spread in his abdomen where a bullet lodged inside erupted in pain. The doctor offered to remove the bullet but he was in such a hurry to get back to Lina that he decided to let the bullet stay since his body would heal on its own in the next two to three days. It would be easier to remove the
