Li Na woke up with a throbbing headache. She rolled to her side, sniffing the air, and got disoriented. The smell of the room wasn't familiar. Her eyes snapped open and she quickly scanned the room with her hands grabbing the white blanket to her chest. Her heart was thundering on her chest with the many possibilities on why she was in a strange room.

When she saw the dresser at the foot of her bed, she remembered where she was. She's no longer staying at Bel-Air. Exhaling a deep relieved breath, she dropped herself back to bed and closed her eyes. She finished the whole bottle of wine that she brought with her in the bathroom last night, hence the headache.

She was about to drift off back to sleep when the hotel phone rang on her bedside table that brought her back to her senses. Cursing under her breath, she grabbed the phone and grumbled, "hello?"

"Good afternoon, Miss Baptiste! Mr. Baptiste's secretary is in the lobby and she has some important documents

If Li Na didn't come back to Luna, what would he do? Last night, Eon had no answer to the question of his wolf but now, they both know what he will do. He would loiter like a loser in the lobby of Li Na's hotel. He has been sitting on one of the armchairs in the hotel lobby but he still hasn't had the courage to walk to the reception desk, ask them for Lina Baptiste's room number. He had a feeling that if she knew that he was in her hotel, she wouldn't allow him to come up. She must still be angry at him for all the nasty words that he said to her. He pulled down the newspaper that was covering his face. He's like a spy—a terrible one. With the outfit he was wearing, he stood out in the lobby. He was wearing Italian leather black boots that have been worn so many times, washed-out ripped jeans, and a black leather jacket over a white tee. Eyes were trained on him and the newspaper he was holding was his lame attempt to cover his face and hoping that people passing the lobby

She’s grateful to Briare at the same time she feared him. She has no idea who he truly is and how influential he is. But her biggest question was, why was he helping her? Now with what Briare did to her, she no longer believes that meeting him at Luna was purely coincidental. With so many questions plugging her mind, she chose the easy way out, which was sleep. • Under The Waning Moon   Her First

Lina woke up screaming with a hoarse voice. It was her third time waking up and she made sure to get up from the bed this time by slapping her face. She didn’t want to fall back asleep. She would die if she had to go through that nightmare again. When the pain of her palm hitting her cheek registered in her groggy brain, she got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom. With her knees shaking, she hurried under the shower and opened the shower full blast with freezing water. She shivered and screamed the moment the cold water hit her skin. But she didn’t turn off the shower nor move from under the cascading cold water. The fear of falling asleep made her stand under the iced cold water, and when her body trembled from the cold, she twisted the faucet and changed into hot water. She bit her lower lip to stop herself from screaming. She didn’t last long under the hot shower unlike the cold one but it was enough for she is now fully awake.Panting, she

“Why don’t you go and pick her up?” Larissa disrupted Eon’s brooding over whether he should go and apologize to Lina and invite her to attend the private event here in Luna. The party didn’t actually stop since it started Saturday morning. The whole club was closed and only VIP members were allowed entrance. The club was open twenty-four hours for the VIP patrons for the whole week. The event was the talk of the town and since Lina likes to party he was expecting that she would definitely come but it’s now Sunday, the event would end at twelve midnight tonight but Lina hasn’t shown herself. He gave Larissa an annoyed look, “shut up and serve our guest!” He cocked his head in the direction of the bar where customers were. He took the far end of the bar counter to be alone in his thoughts and he was worried that it’s now ten in the evening, there are only two hours left before the event ends, he sighed, surveying the club. “Hey,” he called the attention of Larissa who didn’t c

The man finally noticed that she wasn’t interested in her and saw another girl to his liking that he left Lina alone. “Sorry,” Eon whispered next to her ear, which sent shivers to Lina’s skin. Eon was holding the edge of her chair so that she couldn’t get away from him. Lina gasped for some air because Eon’s breath fanned her cheek and tickled her skin. Goosebumps littered her arms that she was rooted to the barstool and her brain forgot to think. “I crossed the line. I’m sorry,” Eon said once again, for Lina didn’t reply to his apology. “It’s all good.” She heaved a deep sigh, “it’s your opinion, anyway.” She got down from her barstool and faced Eon. She was ready for a fight but she was surprised to see that his face was full of regrets. Her eyes narrowed thinking if Eon was playing with her but she didn’t see any indication that he was. “You don’t deserve the words I said.” He gently added because he could see the disbelief from Lina’s eyes

Lina tried to pull her hands away but she had no strength for whatever it was that the damn woman jabbed her arm. She was panting and groaning as she panicked, fighting the drowsiness she was feeling. ‘I can’t fall asleep!’ She screamed in her head. The thought of the nightmare if she falls asleep keeps her fighting the sleepiness she was feeling. She didn’t see the old woman who stuck a needle in her arm. The two men who took her to the van didn’t talk to her. They just tied her hands together in her lap then shoved her inside the van like she was a piece of garbage. Then the two of them talked quietly in a language that she doesn’t know. She strained her ears to listen to catch any words that would give her a hint of what was happening but they already went inside the van, the one who gave orders took the wheel. Frustrated, she kicked the back of the driver’s seat but she didn’t get any reaction from the two men. She kicked the seat once again, twisting her hands,

  • Under The Waning Moon   A Life Of Togetherness

Lina woke up from the feeling of warm water gently splashing on her skin. When she opened her eyes, she saw Eon in deep concentration, washing her naked body in the tub. She looked to her right and noticed that they were in their own cabin. “Hey, welcome back.” He grinned, caressing her cheek. “What happened?” She asked in confusion. Eon had the audacity to smirk and arch his brow. “Well, sweetheart, I could remind you what exactly had happened,” he said in the soft tone of voice, flicking her nipple that was peeking on the water. “What a jerk!” She cupped some water in her hands and threw it to Eon’s face to wipe the smug expression on it. “You were asking,” he chuckled, wiping the water off his face as he stood up and started removing his clothes and without a word stepped inside the tub with her. He took the other end, opposite from her. He had his knees bent but his legs were wide open. Lina swallowed, and the thought of crawling in between his legs, to settle in the comfort

The murky water of the swamp rippled and then became calm again as if nothing had happened. The silver moon was high in the night sky and the gentle breeze blew as they all stood at the bank, watching the swamp in silence. The wedding bouquet that Lina threw in the water could no longer be seen in the dark. She stepped closer to Eon’s side who automatically opened his arm to enfold her.“Eon, Lina, we have to go. Thank you for inviting us to your wedding.” Briare’s voice broke the silence between them.“Thank you for coming for such short notice,” Eon replied, extending his hand for a handshake then realized that Lina was like a small chick under his right arm, that he had to move to his left and again offered his hand for a shake to Briare. “Hope to still see you at Luna,” he added.Briare smiled at Eon’s invitation but in his eyes was sadness that Eon could not help but wonder what this man had been

She lifted her gaze away from Eon for a few minutes and glanced at Elyon, Edina, and Ehann. They were all smiling at them, standing a few feet away from them.“I-I don’t know what to say. I couldn’t believe that you’re going to pull this kind of shit!” She slapped Eon’s shoulder as her eyes looked around the familiar path to the cliff that was decorated with white flowers. She wondered when Eon prepared all of it.“Baby, please, say yes and hurry because we are running after the sunset,” he laughed in amusement with the disbelief on Lina’s face.“Okay!” She laughed. She handed Eon her right hand then her left. She was confused about which hand to give.Eon took her left hand and slipp

“Holy shit! You’re getting married!”Elyon won’t stop grinning as if he was the one getting married.Eon scoffed but an equally wide grin was on his face. “Ask Edina to come because just as I’ve said…if you’re even listening, you jerk! Lina needs another woman to be her maid of honor and since you’re already my best man, your mate would be just perfect.”Elyon's glee was abruptly wiped off his face. “Dude, this mate thing…is quite—” He cocked his head to the side because he was lost for words and helplessly stared at Eon. “Was it really this hard?”Eon glanced at Ehann before returning his gaze to Elyon. “If you’re asking if it was really that hard to breathe without her next to you…then the answer is yes.” He laughed. “You’re screwed big time since it includes always wanting to be inside her.”Ehann, who was

Surveying the waffles, the scrambled eggs, and the fresh fruit on the breakfast tray that Eon put down on the bed, she glanced up at him in wonder.“How did you make this breakfast?”He smirked. “You don’t have confidence in your husband that I can give you whatever you want?”Lina rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue at him for two things. Because of how overbearing he was with a smug look on his face to be able to catch her in surprise with her breakfast request, served in bed and the second factor was him, calling himself her husband. It does tickle her fancy. She definitely likes the sound of it. ‘Her husband.’ However, they aren’t married and they haven’t talked about marriage at all. They talked about children but a wedding was a topic that they haven’t touched. She didn’t know if it was avoided or just that they didn’t think about it. Thus, now that Eon is calling himself her

When Lina came out of the bathroom, Alpha Aaron was no longer in the cabin. “Where is your father?” She asked, scanning the room. She came out of the bathroom wearing lounge pants and a sweater. She had no idea whose clothes she was wearing but they were comfortable. The perfect wear for the cold mountain night. “He had to leave because the Alpha of Lykanthos was caught and brought here.” “Oh,” she said with a sharp intake of breath. “You aren’t going to—” She had no idea what Eon should or could do. He shook his head and opened his arms and she strolled inside them and pressed her cheek on her chest. “We are just guests here. Whatever business they have, they will settle them on their own. Besides, why would I want to meet another egoistic Alpha when I have a beautiful woman in my arms?” He whispered over her head, rubbing her back. The slow movement of his large palm, rubbing her back in a small circle is giving her soft feelings. Sh

After Eon and Ehann had a really good laugh because their premonition of Elyon having a mate twenty years his junior just happened. All the while the two were splitting their sides with laughter, she just watched them in amusement. It’s another side of Eon that she had witnessed.
