"Why the f**k is she still unconscious???" an angry voice echoed in the white serene room.

"Alpha! Please calm down. She will wake up in a while." Jake tried to calm down his alpha who was just a step away from going into a rampage. He kept his stethoscope and the report of Rosalind's vitals in the drawer. He knew his alpha was angry but there was nothing he could do when it came to humans. They were neither physically strong nor did they have the healing speed of a werewolf.

"YOU HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT SH*T FOR MORE THAT 8 HRS. HOW COULD A HEALTHY PERSON BE COMATOSE FOR THIS LONG." Wilson was livid but also afraid. A mate could be the biggest power of the Alpha the same way she could also be the biggest weakness of the whole pack. Even Though Wilson knew that Rosalind would wake up in no time, he was angry. Angry at himself for not knowing her condition and dropping the bomb suddenly, angry at her for not taking care of herself.

"She is a normal human, not like us, maybe you should have thought twice before shocking her on an empty stomach, right after her she worked overtime" Jake muttered under his breath, making it sound obvious. He took the red binder containing the health report from the side of the table, just as he was observing Rosalind's blood report, he found something weird. He glanced horribly at the lean figure lying vulnerably on the bed. How could this be possible? He looked at Wilson and spoke with a bit of urgency:

"Alpha, you need to see this..."

"Erm..." Rosalind moaned as she tried to open her brown hazel eyes. Her head was still pounding with the aftereffect of sleeping past her normal sleeping hour. She tried to lift her hand to massage her side temple, only to notice a thin plastic tube of IV administered on the back of her right hand. As her consciousness returned to her, she looked around the room to find that it wasn't hers. The memories of the event returned back to her, scene by scene, marriage notice, her abduction...Wilson. When she tried to move out of bed, the blanket slipped off her shoulders, revealing a plain pajama shirt, which might not be for a female. Hadn't she passed out in her suit?? Who changed her? A pink blush warmed up her cheeks as her mind formed a vision of Wilson.

'Stupid mind'

She dusted that drop-dead gorgeous face of his from her head and tried to climb off the bed. She shivered as the sensation of cold marble flooring traveled through her toes.

"What are you doing?" a cold voice sounded with a hint of warmth and worry. She recognized that voice. Wilson moved towards her and kneeled in front of her, slid a pair of warm shoes under her feet. Rosalind felt a hint of nostalgia, a kind of deja vu. She didn't speak, the warmth radiating from his fingertips warming her toes that had been cold due to the marble flooring. Her heart warmed up seeing this, but a jab of coldness seeped in as soon as she remembered who he was, her kidnapper. Even though a part of her heart believed he could never do any harm, her defense instinct said otherwise.

"You shouldn't walk barefooted. It's cold, you should be careful." Wilson looked at her, "How are you feeling, Maya?" His voice was deep but didn't sound as cold as earlier. It had a hint of gentleness, warmth, and affection.

"Why did you bring me here? Who are you?" Rosalind answered his question with a question.

"You are my bride" Wilson stated as if it was obvious. His face had no trace of guilt or fear. His temperament was raw, predatory, something different from other men, something wild.

"I am not your anything. Moreover a bride. Why did you abduct me? Do you know you could be in jail for 30 years for this kinda' child play?" As much as Rosalind was attracted to Wilson, she didn't want to fall into some kind of a rabbit hole disguised as a gorgeous, hot specimen of men she had ever seen.

"Didn't you get the letters of vow made by our ancestors, Maya?" Wilson knew this would be difficult. As much as he wanted her so bad, he didn't want to mess up this thing whatever with her.

"Stop calling me that . I am not Maya. and I don't care what my ancestors vow for. Where were they when me and my siblings were suffering? Where were YOU when we were suffering? If you really believe that sh*t, then marry them yourself. I want to go back to my home."

"This IS your home."

"Don't you understand the things I have been saying for the last two minutes. Let me leave. Otherwise..." Rosalind's voice stuck on her throat as Wilson caressed her soft cheeks with the back of his hand.

"No matter how much you argue I won't let you leave. Those vows weren't some kinda dipshit. And even if they were I wouldn't have let you go. Don't you feel it too? The connection." The silence in the cold room, only the beats of two hearts thumping in the same rhythm. Rosalid's mind was blank. What was wrong, what was right, she could not differentiate now.

"See?" Wilson leaned closer to her, his hand slipped from the cheek to the curve of her neck making way to her back. The sensation of his callous hand on her back made her body vibrate into a shiver.

"Every touch of mine makes you shiver, Maya." With every move of Wilson, Rosalind couldn't retort.

"You feel this? This is what you do to me." Now the physical closeness between them was non-existence. Rosalind felt something hard poking on her stomach, making her blush and somehow returned back her senses. She tried to push Wilson but her frail force didn't make Wilson move even one inch. Instead he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled up to the toe and face him.

"I am sorry, I was hasty. I should have at least given you the heads up. I should have come sooner. You must have suffered." Rosalind looked at his eyes, so deep so perfect to be true and reflecting none other than her. A turmoil of emotions hit her. Yes, it hadn't been easy. 8 hours work with half of family debt plus her siblings expenses. Even though she said it's ok, even though she made it seem it was easy. But it was never. She was never fine and it was never easy. A traitorous tear slipped from the corner of her left eye.

"Trust me this once okay? I will make it alright." Wilson wiped of the tear from his thumb. His one hand still wrapped on her waist and his other holding her cheeks.

"I am still not marrying you." Rosalind finally spoke. Trying not to let out a breaking voice.

"Ha! Then let's make a deal, Maya." Wilson was still not backing down. How could he? It was her, feisty as ever.

"A deal?"

"Give me your 4 days."

"4 days?"

"Well it will be better if we call it 4 nights though. Spent 4 nights with me. Give me a chance. If you still feel I am not for you I will let you go."

"How could I know you wouldn't do something to me." 'Are you kidding me what could you do in four days?'

"Well, don't you see from my face, what kinda gentleman I am?"

Rosalind:"....."

"What type of gentleman abducts his bride?" Rosalind wanted to shout but she still held back her anger.

"Well... I won't try anything that YOU won't like. But, I don't mind if you try something. You know...." Wilson lifted his eyebrow, his lips form into a beautiful cocky smile, which Rosalind could not resist but still shakes her head. 'Don't fall into a rabbit hole.'

"When am I going home?" Rosalind lightly pushed his chest but this time wilson also cooperated with her. He took a step back and hold her hand.

"This is your home. We could have this conversion over and over again. Trust me Maya, I would give you anything you want. But you won't be leaving this house. At least not any time sooner."

"So your plan to court me is to cage me? What a jerk!" Rosalind was also not getting to back down. 'Hmm, I still have 1 week left for the next month's rent! He would kick me out in 1st date anyway'

"A handsome jerk, Maya."

"What about my work?"

"I have asked for a day off from your company president for today. You are resting today. And from tomorrow on I will be personally dropping you off to work and pick you too. Any other questions."

"Why are you so stubborn for the piece of paper when you don't even know them in person." Rosalind's question was harder than the physical training Wilson had to go through.

"You should be hungry. Take a bath and come downstairs. I have a surprise for you." He couldn't help but dodge the question. He thanked God because his girl was a foodie. As long as its food and she is hungry enough she would even forget whole world. He leaned down and lightly kissed her forehead before leaving the room.
