Chapter 86

Fear coursed through me like a violent river as I cradled her motionless body in my arms. "Sansa?" I yelled, but she remained deafeningly silent. Panic flooded my veins, causing me to tremble as I carried her to the bed.

"Sansa, please, open your eyes!" I begged her, gently shaking her face. My heart was pounding in my chest, and my mind was racing, trying to come up with a solution.

I had experienced innumerable frightening circumstances in the heat of battle, but nothing compared to the horror I felt at this time. Despite my lifetime of recklessness, I was at a loss for how to aid her.

I considered racing to the balcony to summon assistance, but I paused when I noticed everyone in the garden, carefree and blissfully oblivious of our plight. My instincts told me to cry for help, but I held back since I didn't want to ruin their fun.

When someone knocked, I opened the door to see Amara standing there with a glass of juice in her hand.

"I brought some a—-," softly Amara began
