Chapter 7

 The first part of training took 4 hours, and if it weren't for the fact, we are all suped up I think we would have died. My dad was in hog heaven during the whole thing, but now it must be time to move on to something else.

Ana spoke, "I think it is lunch time, all of you need to grab something to eat, and we will continue the training afterwards." "We will start something new after lunch." Raz said after Ana spoke.

"Ok all, we are done beating each other's asses for now." I said jokingly. "We need to grab a quick lunch than after that, they said we will do something else."

  Everyone was happy to hear that we are done with the hand-to-hand combat for now, and that we are going to learn something else when we start again. I didn't realize the fact we were outside in northern Michigan in February for 4 hours, and nobody even acted like they were a little bit cold. Sandy even took off her coat during training. So, on top of everything else we are not affected by temperature either, that's amazing.

  While sitting around the kitchen table; we all were chatting and laughing like it was just another day. Eating our lunch that us girls made, grilled burgers with bacon, and cheese with fresh buns, and homemade French fries, and pickles spears. It is so good. Our bodies needed the protein and calories that was for sure. Peggy told us she had to go and rush her kids because they still haven't showed up and she was getting worried they were not taking her seriously. Raz told me to teach everyone to talk to everyone in their minds, like I can with them, before she left.I began by saying, "Peggy, before you two leave, I want to teach you how to talk to everyone that I awaken in your mind like I do, ok?"

 They both looked at me with smiles and said "Ok. No problem, but you do realize we all have cells right." she said, as she laughed. I replied, "I know, but we don't know for how long we will have cellphones, and Raz is making me." with a smile on my face. I continued after I finished the last bite of my burger. "Ok, it is really easy, you just have to think about the people or person you want to talk with, and whisper in your mind whatever you need to say. It's important you remember to whisper, because if you yell it you will scare the shit out of whom ever you are trying to talk with. Now each one you say something to me quietly, one at a time I'll say ok and point to the next person when they should go, Ok."

 One at a time I pointed at each one and they said something to me as I asked. I didn't say anything back until everyone was done. And I said, Good job in their minds all at once. Everyone was happy that this training was easier than the combat. I told them to finish lunch and have conversations in their minds for the rest of the time while eating. It was quiet but our minds were full of conversations. About 15 minutes later Peggy and Jake left to track down their kids and grandkids.

 We rattled up the dishes and put them away. Talking to Ana and Raz in my mind I asked what is the next training exercise?

 Raz answer quickly with; "The next training exercise is funneling your energy to your hands and using it as a weapon or a shield. This is a very important task. You all will need this, but you my dear need to be ableto control yours, or you will destroy more then you will save. We are a part of you now, and our power are intwined with yours. Do you know of a remote safe place to practice this? The group can practice here with your father, I will tell him what to say and do to help the group learn. You must be a good distance away so no one will get injured."I thought for a good minute and then I ask would the woods work or do I need to be in the open? He answered, "Either will be sufficient."

 Then I guess, to the woods we go; we are surrounded by the national forest. After filling in everyone what the plan is, and what I must do and why. I gave my kids, husband, grandbaby, and dad a hug and kiss and jumped in my truck and headed to the nearest trail head and turned down it. I'm lucky my vehicle has 4-wheel drive because there is a lot of snow out here.

 "Start walking away from your vehicle." I hear Raz say. "You do not want to even be able to see it in the distance." Ana says after. You guys know I can turn my back to my truck and poof I can't see it. "You do not yet understand young one. You will soon." They both say in unison. So, I just kept walking hoping they would just tell me when I was far enough.

 I've been walking for about an hour; do you think I am far enough away yet?"I suppose this will do. I sense If we walk to much farther, we will be walking towards more trails, and we do not want any injuries to happen. Yes, you can stop." Raz says to me.

 "Look around you do you see any living thing besides plant life?" Ana says.

I look, and no I don't," I am in bum fuck nowhere. All I see is trees and snow."

 "Good." they both say. OK, close your eyes and feel your energy. Like you where going to make a safety bubble. Feel it coarse through your body.

 I do as they say and close my eyes and feel the familiar tingles I get when I start messing with my energy. It just now, isn't just little tingles I feel real electricity running through me. If I had to put a name to it, I would say I feel like Raiden from Mortal Kombat; but I keep my eyes close and just feel it running up and down my arms and legs. It's so powerful its almost overwhelming in some ways but intoxicating in others. I hear the hum of it and feel my hair start to lift from the static charge. This is so cool but so scary, and I'm just standing here paying attention to it.

 Raz says in a calm cool voice, "Young one, before you open your eyes; remember you are doing this all to help save your world. The reason we wanted you to learn in the middle of nowhere is because of this, this was just you standing and not doing anything. Now open your eyes."

 Slowly I open my eyes to see all the trees around me gone, burned to nothing but charcoal piles on the ground. I whipped around in a circle to see if it was just in front of me, but no everything is just gone. There is aclearing in a big circle, it's a mile or more. In the distance I can see my truck just a dot, but It cleared all the way to it. I did this and I wasn't even doing anything. How am I supposed to wield power that can do this? My mind is going a million mile per minute when I hear.

 "Calm your self young one. You made space in trees and no one was hurt. We will show you how to handle this new power you have. You are not alone, we are here." Raz said in a fatherly like tone.

 My heart started to slow and finally I have a clear thought. Ok How, I will never let this happen again, we are not leaving here until I learn. I am not safe around my family until I do lear

 "This time we are going to do the same thing, but your eyes are going to be open. Humans are emotion ran, no matter if you see or not. It felt cool as you put it, so you pushed for more without realizing what was happening. That is why we did it this way so you could see what you can do without meaning too." Raz said, in a sure tone.

 I focused on my energy again, this time not letting myself get wrapped up in the sensations. I look at my hands and I can see the electricity coiled around them and going up my arms. Making sure I stay in the hear, and now I ask, now what?

"Put up a force field, the same way you taught your daughter too." Ana said.

 Ok, I can do that. I imagined a bubble forming in front of me. The electricity unwound from my hands and arms and formed a blue bubble right in front of me. Then I made the bubble flat in my minds eye and the bubble in front of me did the same. So, I spread out my hands and stretched it, to be the size of me. Then just like I would do if it was my old gifts, I closed my fingers and pushed my hands together to make itgo away. I did that a half a dozen times trying different sizes, and thickness until I felt sure I had this part down. Ok, what is next. I said very focus with the task at hand. "OK, this time we are going to shoot your energy like a weapon. It is the same thing as the force field but when it is done use momentum by moving your hands to shoot it away from you. Aim for the lump of coal on the ground about 200 yards to your right." Raz said.

  I made the force field once again, but this time I made it the size of a soft ball, I found the coal Raz was talking about and like I was throwing a hard ball I whipped it towards it. When it hit dirt flew up and I couldn't see if I hit my mark. A minute later the dust settled and sure enough the lump of coal was no longer there. Just as before I did different sizes and shapes and picked different targets even ones that I had to use my minds eye to see. Once I felt completely comfortable, I asked for more.

"This one can be tricky, do not feel upset if you do not get it as quick as the other tasks, ok. I want you to flash you and your truck back home." Raz said. Wait, what? I don't think flashng means the same thing here as it do where you are from. Yeah, my boobs are nice and all, but I don't thinkthey can do that. I said half joking and half confused.

 I hear Raz and Ana laugh hard. Like they just looked up what flash means here on this Earth. "No, you silly girl. I want you to teleport yourself and your truck home. And yes, on our Earth flash does not mean that, but it has been a long time since I've had a good laugh like that. What you must do is picture going to your truck, the same electricity will come, but it will feel different that is normal. Imagine what the truck feels like when you sit its seat. What it sounds like and what it smells like. Tell your energy go to it."

 OK, my truck smells like smoke, and the seats are soft. The silver paint is rusty, but she runs like a champ. When I turn her over, she rumbles. I felt really cold for a second, and I was in my truck. Wow, holy crap! That beats walking to the truck for damn sure. "That was very nice, the same thing applies about sending you and the truck home, but you have to think about how it feels to drive up the driveway and parking the truck. Make sure everyone is out of the way first by your mind link because if you do not and someone is standing where you park it would be bad." Raz said.

 I mind linked everyone at home to make sure no one was where I usually parked the truck, and I got all is clear. So, I thought about driving up the driveway, and the bumps the truck always rocked from, taking the wide turn to park in front of the garage. The way she rocked into park as if to say yay we are home. I felt really cold once again, and a split second later I am sitting in my parking spot like I just drove there.

  Everyone was making the face. The face where your mouth makes a "O" because something crazy just happenened. I hear Raz Say once again, "Very nice young one. Go have some dinner and I'll think about what our next training session will be.

 With that I jumped out of the truck, and said, "How's it going here, I figure I would pop in and see if everything is going good. I didn't even say anything about the fact I literally popped in with the truck, and I didn't drive it in, I just walked inside knowing everyone would be right behind me.."."I opened the fridge and freezer to look for what I am going to make for dinner and sure enough here comes everyone through the door. I smiled to myself trying to play it off like nothing out of the ordinary happened. I could see that wasn't going to fly when my dad and Robby said together "what the fuck was that?"

 So, I said just to be a dink, "What? Oh, the truck, I was low on gas, and didn't want to stop so I didn't."

"I'll tell you what I did when I was gone, if you tell me what you all did first how about that." I said with a smile.

  "What do you all want for dinner?" I said laughing. Nobody is finding this as funny as me, but hey you have to have fun sometimes right.

 "OK, OK. I'll tell you, Raz told me how to flash, for real dad, ask him he will tell ya." I was dying laughing at this point. Both Raz and Ana were laughing also. I could tell Raz told my dad he taught me how to flash, because he looked so confused, I about pissed myself. Finely, I hear my dad say. "Oh, really?" and he started laughing to.

  My dad, said to the group "He taught her how to teleport, which on his Earth is called, Flash." Everyone started to laugh after that.
