Yvette was starting to have a hard time breathing. Fortunately, the kiss didn't last for too long.

Xavier touched her blushing face and stopped kissing her. Then, he asked softly, "Have I scared you?"

She looked away and wanted to get out of his embrace again. However, he pulled her back into his arms once more. "Don't move. You're pregnant now."

"Why are you still doing this when you know I'm pregnant?" she said angrily.

"We're husband and wife; it's normal for us to kiss," he said slowly.

She pulled the blanket over herself and didn't say another word. Xavier wasn't used to her being so quiet.

"Can you say something?" He didn't even realize how low he had gotten.

"There's nothing for me to say. I want to return to my room, so let me go now," she coldly demanded.
