"What are you doing? Let me go." Yvette tried to push Xavier away, but he only held her tighter. He freed one hand to gently grasp Yvette's slender one.

"Don't move. You might hurt our baby." He then added, "It's almost three months old now, right? We should go for a prenatal check-up today."

Realizing he'd only just thought of this, Yvette frowned. "I've already had the check-up. The baby is healthy. And for the last time, this baby is not yours."

Xavier seemed unfazed as he carried her upstairs.

"Xavier, put me down. I'm not going to the bedroom." Yvette protested, digging her nails into his arm. However, he didn't seem to feel the pain as he continued to hold her.

Yvette noticed he'd become increasingly overbearing lately. Once he had her in the bedroom, Xavier closed the door and carefully laid her on the bed.

"Be good," he whispered.
