"Long time no see. You sure have changed a lot." Marlene extended her hand toward Yvette.

Yvette didn't shake it. Instead, she smiled politely. "You didn't."

Marlene was stunned, and she pulled her hand back. "Do you mind taking a walk with me?"

She had joined the Lane family before Yvette. When Yvette had just gotten engaged to Xavier, Marlene had always found her and chatted with her. It had seemed like she had been a sister to Yvette.

Then, Yvette had married Xavier, James had died, and the Snyder family had slowly hit rock bottom. Only then had Marlene revealed her true colors. Yvette had to admit that Marlene was born to be an actress.

As they walked on a small path outside, Marlene gently said, "Did you know? I didn't get to sleep well when I heard you died five years ago. Back then, I was pregnant with Malcolm and almost had a miscarriage because of it."
