2022-05-26 11:59:29Just as Alice took her seat, there was a commotion. Alice paid no heed to this as she was more anxious about the interview.
She was brought out of her thoughts when a pair of shiny shoes stood in her line of sight. She looked up at the person but before she could see his face clearly, her wolf growled, "MATE".
Alice immediately rose to her feet then she was able to see the face of the person standing before her. Alice paid no heed to his facial expression and kept smiling at him but the smile was brushed off her face the moment she saw the look of disgust and anger the man was giving her.
All her fantasies about her mate having lots of fun her crumpled down before it started. Just as she was on the brink of tears, she thought of another ray of hope which was her mate wasn't a werewolf so he didn't realize that she was his mate. Alice inhaled his scent deeply and the little ray of hope she had also crumbled into pieces. Her mate wasn't a human but a werewolf but why is he staring at her that way? Does he not want her?
"Who allowed her in?" The question made Alice snap out of her thoughts but her mind was still in disarray. She opened and closed her mouth but no word was able to get out.
Meanwhile she didn't realize that all her actions had been misunderstood by the man standing before her. From his aspect, she was just like all those women who'd do anything to get into his bed but the only thing that was different about her was that she was dressed so poorly and her voice was void of any make-up. Unlike other women who had tried to get into his bed, this lady didn't dress seductively. Or was this another way to get into his bed? Thinking of this, his expression turned grim as he glared at her.
Alice had been staring at the man and at that period, she has regained a little bit of composure. Now, she was able to register the man's facial features clearly. A golden brown hair that reached his neck which she was also dying to touch, thick and full eyebrows, icy blue eyes, a sharp nose, a full red lips and a well designed jaw. Yes well designed cause he appeared like a piece of art. Alice unconsciously wanted to put her hair behind her ears but then she remembered her hair was packed in a neat bun so she awkwardly released her hands.
Meanwhile the others who also came to apply for the job all pointed fingers at Alice while laughing. They didn't dare laugh aloud for fear of the big boss using his anger on them. They didn't wish to get the same look Alice was getting cause it isn't any look one would pray to get from the devilishly looking handsome man.
"Throw her out".
