“Where can we get blood from?” Lisa said to Missy as they got home.

“Can’t you draw from yourself?” Missy replied.

"It won't be enough to fake a miscarriage. I need a large quantity so that it will be more convincing," Lisa said.

"Hmm, where can we get blood?" Missy wondered, her eyes suddenly drifting toward the cat.

“What about her?” Missy said, referring to Lisa's cat.

"Hell no, that's my pet," Lisa snapped.

“"Think about the bigger picture, Lisa. She's worth the sacrifice," Missy urged, trying to convince her.

"No, not her. She's like family," Lisa protested.

"Then where are we supposed to get that much blood? Should we go hunting?" Missy asked.

"Let's give that a try," Lisa agreed.

Lisa stepped out of the house, the chill of the night air biting her skin. The moon hung high, casting pale beams through the thick canopy of trees as she ventured into the woods.
