Chapter 2: We meet again

Padgett POV

My heartbeat increase as I stand in front of the students, my eyes go around taking the faces of those whom I am going to share class with but the truth is, I wasn't interested in those hot boys, I heard those female screaming their lungs out for, something in me was curious to know the face of the boy, whose face is buried on the desk. Those piercing eyes of the female in the class are enough to tell me that, getting involved with any boy in this class, will be my doom

"We have a new student, her name is Padgett Ryan, I hope you all treat her right." When the principal mentioned my name, his head went up all of a sudden, he stared at me. "Oh no! Do I have to be in the same class with him?" I scolded my ill-fated. His eyes didn't leave me, I don't know what that stare is about because it's unreadable. 

"Go on dear! You should get your seat." The principal urged me, and I made my way towards the seats I noticed it was available but I could notice that most girls would kill me, so I kept moving, I was about to pass him when he held my hand, causing the students to roar. 

"You should sit beside me." His sweet soft voice came up, I have missed that, every night, I could hear that voice in my sleep but here, I could hear it but no longer in my dreams but in reality. Everyone was shocked, they stared at him In shock, including his friends, if his eyes could kill, Cassie's eyes would have sent me to the grave. 

"This bitch! She just touches the tigress tail." Cassie murmured to herself. 

"She does not know what she is playing with, she is going to get burned." Rhodes's eyes keep throwing daggers on me with some fake smile paste on her face as I sit beside Cameron with my head buried in my bag acting like I was searching for something. I could see the side of his face, and my heart raced, for those three years of a world apart, I had stalked him like some fans stalk their celebrity crush, I have most of his pictures in my wardrobe but the truth is, those pictures of his, are nothing close to the sight I am watching in front of me, he is super hot, he is like a Greek god, hotter than those other boys in the class, that those girls were screaming out their lungs for. All of a sudden his hand blushes mine, causing my heart to race, I drop my bag subconsciously, he looks at me, then turns his gaze back to the instructor. "Sorry!" I said very fast, but he still didn't make any move nor say a word to me, so I just assumed, he didn't recognize me. That didn't stop me from stealing glances from him, I could hardly breathe, and when the bell rang, I felt I could breathe so I made my way out like other students, I noticed that he didn't attempt to leave the class. 

Cameron POV

"Hey, man! What is it? You've been all cold since morning." 

"Am I?" I asked as I turned my gaze from her, back to my friends. 

"Anyways, I heard about a nice club newly open, wanna come along? Who knows you might find some bitches." Ryan teased me as we walked out of the class together. 

"Have I ever attempted to go look for those bitches with you? I'm not interested you should know, I like the ones I see, I don't want to get some deadly disease." 

"Gosh you're getting boring for no reason" Alex sighed as he moved ahead. 

"Hey babe!" Cassie called from the back and I turned slowly

"Does she even know he's going to break up with her next week?" Sutton asked as they stared at us kissing, we came closer.

"Hey bye, bro" They waved at me, to catch my attention. 

"Make sure to use protection! You wouldn't wanna receive bad luck." I could hear Ryan's naughty words, as they left me and Cassie, we made our way to the restroom while kissing each other. As soon as the door closed behind us, I could hear some students whispering, the truth is, not my business what others do but that voice was something I think I couldn't resist, so I pulled Cassie, practically dragging her in that direction. 

"Where are we going?" Cassie asked. 

"Over there, come on." I pulled her hand, only for me to get the voice clearer. 

"Do you know me?" Newton asked, Padgett, she shook her head.

"It's probably because you are new, my name is Newton." he smiled, stretching his hand for a shake, Padgett smiled and took his hand

"Mind going out with me? Just to know more about each other?" Newton asked. 

"She's not interested," I said from the back and they both looked up, it's me, if there was someone I hated the most in this world, was this man standing in front of me? 

"Cameron!" Cassie called, she didn't see my reason for intruding.

"Don't ever talk to her again, do you get that?" I snapped at Newton before pulling Padgett, I was practically dragging her out leaving my Cassie behind. 

"Stop pulling me." She lashed at me then pulled her hand from me, now we were right in the middle of the school compound, all eyes were on me and her.

"Hey Creamy, you shouldn't be stubborn" The look in her eyes was that of surprise, that is the one name, I have called her since we were kids.

"Did you recognize me?" She asked! 

"Are you crazy? Why wouldn't I recognize you and why the fuck are wearing these short things again?" 

"What?" Padgett muttered without waiting for a reply I pushed her into my car. "Where are we going?" 

"Home! Aren't you supposed to go home, when the bell rings for the end of classes?" 

"Are you angry? I thought you would be happy to see me but it turns out that, you aren't really happy to see me." 

"Happy to see you? Why didn't you tell me, you were coming? Why did you stop communicating to me? What the fuck happen to you?" So many questions in my head, I really wanted to avoid her but then she hugged me right in my car, I missed her, and as much as I wanted to stay away from her and regard her as nothing, I really couldn't, she is my best friend and a sister, the only sister, I could ever have. 

"I missed you." I smiled.

"Silly! When did you return? Where do you live? Why didn't you come home? How is Mother?" 

"She got a new job here, so we had to move here, I don't think you will recognize..."

"You are naughty, why shouldn't I recognize my best friend who replaced me." 

"Replace you?" 

"Of course, you are going to go out with that low life."

"What? I wouldn't go out with him and you know that I don't go out with strangers."

"Good then, don't listen to things like that next time, just walk away and you should always stick with me from now on." My words were filled with authorities, she is my baby sister, so I should take care of her and Chase every low-life idiot from her, I know I am a playboy but I wouldn't let her fall for a playboy, she is way too precious to me. 

'Yes sir, but, do you think he was going to ask me out?" She grinned, leaning on the chair headrest. 

"Ask you out? Why are you smiling because of that?" I found myself asking

"It's my first time...." I moved closer to her and ran my eyes around her face, even with the glasses she still looked overly beautiful, I wondered why she said it was her first time. My eyes strolled all over her face, her sexy and bright eyes, pointed nose, red small lips, everything about her was just perfect, she moved her eyes up to mine, right now, she was not on her glasses.

"Why would it be your first time?" 

"It's simple, they don't find me attractive." 

"Come off it, you hot and sexy even at that, you shouldn't listen to any guy who tries saying shits like that to you, just listen to me alone," I said while she stared at me with that innocent eyes of hers, now that the glasses are no longer there. 

"Don't look at another guy this way either, only me" I added. "You should know they are playboys, especially Newton." 

"I also heard you are a playboy?" 

"Whoa! So fast? Since when did you like gossip little sister?" 

"I didn't gossip, I just hear them talking senselessly about you, your friends...Gosh, is it true?" 

"Let's hang out at the bar tomorrow, we could talk about that..."

"But..."

"No, but, unless you are no longer my best friend, I will introduce you to my friends."
