Chapter 27 Wounded Heart

"NO, I don't like your Idea," he said in a slightly chuckled way. He gave me a glare before he continued. "Or maybe I should hire someone else, Meredith can't."

My lashes fall down slowly, my two cheeks immediately heat up with embarrassment.

"Why not? She is good and qualified for the position, besides she already has experience as a secretary, right Meredith?" Alessandra turns her head at me, then she nods.

"Yeah, but-"

"Great, you are now the new secretary of Gabriel. Is it okay with you right?" Alessandra spilled her final word.

I swallow, it was hard. I said nothing of how fast she would decide. She can easily manipulate everything, like what she has done to Gabriel.

I looked up at Gabriel, "What can you say about it?" he asked. He keep his eyes fixed on me until my eyes met his.

"I-I don't think, I'm capable of doing this job," I answered truthfully, it never crossed my mind to step out of the comfort zone I have now. I can’t put Gabriel in doubt, especially myself.
