Chapter Six

Mondrian's POV

“I’d love to see you try Alpha—-?” The corners of my mouth twitched with the ghost of a smile as I punched him harder in the face before he could finish. And suddenly, I craved more blood. I was usually good with controlling my emotions, but with her in front of me. With so much hurt in her eyes, I couldn't stand my Wolf taking over.

I wanted so badly to have Christoph torn apart, limb by limb. At that moment, it felt as though all of that was meant to give me immense satisfaction and some relief from the chaos brewing inside me.

I tried to hold back my Wolf from having him attacked almost instantly, with my hands still wrapped tightly around her wrist. I couldn't understand why she made me feel the way I did.

She looked me over as if noticing my presence for the first time. The sweet scent of this annoying perfect girl, overwhelmed me as I breathed her in amidst all that was happening.

“Fuck!” Christoph groaned in pain, holding onto his already broken nose which bled profusely. My gaze snapped to Christoph where his annoying voice cut through my thoughts. He stared back, his eyes glazed and unmoveable but still, a small smile pulled at my lips.

I sighed in frustration, threatening to run a hand through my hair. But my mind wouldn't for some reason, stop reeling over what had just happened.

“The next time you pull up such a stunt I'll have you dealt with. Mark my words!” I growled taking Celene by the hand as we strode away, not caring whether or not Celene wanted to. All I suddenly wanted was to get her away from the grasp of Christoph

“Let go of me!” She yelled, trying to wrench free from my grip.

“And what if I don’t?” I scowled at her, gripping her by the arm trying to hold back my wolf from pouncing on her.

Her scent wafted over me almost instantly, causing my Wolf to suddenly become so restless in the head that all I couldn't think of was having her claimed as mine. I wanted her so bad that I stared back at her through gritted teeth, trying to figure out ways in the head to have my wolf held back.

“I said let go—-” I finally looked at her, finding wild Emerald green eyes staring up at me. Panting, and confused.

“Is that how to thank me for saving your life?” I asked, scanning her face relieved to already see colors blooming on her cheeks. To see her eyes glooming again with a familiar fire. I couldn’t stop my eyes from creeping down her delicate throat, where a heart-shaped pendant was settled between her collarbones. A pulse point beating fast, then down her generous tits as my eyes descended lower, wordlessly maneuvering down to her stomach, to her waist, and round hips.

My heartbeat slowed down when I breathed in her sweet smell. Her cold delicate fingers were now wrapped in the embrace of my palms as I stared at her wishing I could have my legs locked in between her thighs.

I placed a hand on her side, fitting right through her curve as I slowly had her pinned against the wall by the hallway. My Wolf yearning to have her claimed. A lot going through my mind as I thought about how on earth she was to understand that I the Lycan King of the White Fire pack had been alive for a thousand years. I’d been nothing but an element who had spent a thousand years looking for his mate.

And even worse, my one-thousand-year birthday, as well as my death and the destruction of White Fire Pack, were apparently in two months. I mean, how was I to have all that explained to her.

“You can stare into these eyeballs of mine until you're healed, but until then try to keep your hands to yourself,” She scowled, her soft voice cutting through the thoughts in my head as she yanked my hands away from her sides.

“All of that still doesn't change the fact that, you felt the exact same bond I felt a while ago,” I cut in. With my eyes locked directly on hers. I felt like I needed to say it, felt like I needed to admit it to myself. I was finally having one to claim for myself, thereby getting rid of the curse.

There was that look again, one that felt as though she’d seen straight through my mini mask. Tearing down my walls, stripping me bare with nothing but her gaze.

I hated it…

I loved it…

“I don't understand a thing you're saying!” Celene yelled, trying to wrench free from my grip still. I snapped back to the realms of reality. My eyebrows shot up, seeing how much courage she had in having to respond in such a manner.

‘No one ever dares!…’ I thought to myself.

“I know you do!” I responded, cutting her off from her annoying ignorant rants. I stood there in silence staring at her, with clenched teeth fighting down the urge to tell her. Letting her know how bad my situation had gotten over the years.

“Let go of me!” She yelled, finally slipping from my grip running off like she was being chased by some beast coming from behind her.

I groaned in frustration, watching her leave. Knowing I’d been one step away to getting freedom from the silly curse. Unfortunately I had in some way ruined it all.

“Fuck!” I muttered.

As I make my way outside the damned cabin, I sulk towards Alex my Beta who stood casually leaning slightly on the car side.

“We’re leaving!” I scowled angrily headed for the car with both hands shoved into the pockets of my pants, as I thought of ways in having her claimed willingly other than having it forced.

“Where are we headed Sir,” Alex my beta asked.

I stayed silent for a couple of seconds, trying to figure out what else I was to do in having to convince her to accept the claim.

“Home!” I said.
