Amelia's POV I went downstairs after some time and I met William in the dining room, already having breakfast. "Good morning", I decided to start this day again. No apologies from anyone, no remembering the past, nothing. It's just going to be a normal Sunday morning. "Morning", he replied, looking at me as I pulled a chair out. Seems he understands what I am trying to do as well. "Where is Mary?", I asked as I took my seat. "She does not stay here on Sundays", William replied. "Who cooked this then?", I asked in confusion. "Mary", he replied which earned a frown from me. "I do not even want to pry further", I said and he chuckled. We finished eating and I stood up to take my dishes away to the kitchen. He stood up as well and I grabbed his dish quickly. "What are you doing?", he asked as I arranged all the dishes on the rectangular tray I picked up from the dining table. I am guessing Mary uses this when she gets to be the one to pack the plates away from the dining tab
Mirabel's POV I walked into my son's house just to see a fair color, brunette haired lady standing in front of the couch. 'Who is she?', was the first question that shot up to my brain immediately I saw her. 'A one night stand?', another thought came. Only that if she was one of William's night stands, she should have left by now and also at his house? Would he take a night stand to his house? Not sure about that. Even if she is a night stand, I am overjoyed. My son has never been with any girl intimately before, well not in front of me. The girls I knew, he made sure to let me know that they were just his friends. I stared at the lady in front of me. She was looking at me in surprise too. "Who-?", I started to speak up, the silence in the room was getting too much and unbearable for me. "I guess I would have to introduce you two", William's voice rang from my side as he continued speaking. The next thing I knew was that I was holding this young lady's hand. William had int
Amelia's POV A lady came into my view. She was wearing a blue free gown that reached just above her knee. The cloth has a u cut, so her boobs were not showing at all. In short, she looks really decent. She walked inside and then, that was when I saw the guy behind her. "You could have just barged in as you always do", William said, stopping me from assessing the guy behind the new girl. "Whatever", the girl scoffed and William frowned. "Mia!", William's Mom shouted suddenly in joy as she stood up from my side. I breathed a sigh of relief. At least these new people have removed me from whatever I was in before but now there is more people. Great. I stood up as a sign of courtesy and William's Mom pulled the girl called Mia into an hug. "Auntie", the girl replied back as they hugged. She looked up all of a sudden and when she saw me, I could see the surprise look on her face. William's Mom pulled herself away from Mia and hugged the guy shortly as well. "How have you two bee
Amelia's POV William's Mom made me sit beside William at one side of the long table. Mia and Leo sat on the other side and William's Mom sat at the head of the table. We sat more closer to her though with William on her right hand side and Leo on the left hand side. We had lunch in peace that way with no one saying a thing. Good table manners, if you would ask me. I could not help but notice the show of public affection between Leo and Mia during lunch though. For example, how he kept placing more side dishes in Mia plate and the sweet smile she would always give him after. I had turned to look at William to see if he saw them as well but the man just kept eating like he had not eaten all day. I rolled my eyes at him. I looked at William's Mom and I caught her looking back and forth between William and me. I shivered. Really creepy. When she was about to take a peep at me again, I quickly looked down and continued eating my food. We finished eating lunch and Mia and I packed the
Joanna's POV James went to work this afternoon to notify his boss about his 'retirement'. Well, what can I say? He is back and we are packing our useful thing into our baggages already. We had finished packing into the two baggages when it finally clicked to me. "We don't know Aunt Julie's house, how are we going to get there?", I asked in frustration. I had planned leaving trio squad but I forgot such an important thing? "We will be fine", James replied and I caught an intention in his voice but I did not think much on it. This is not the time for that. "What are you saying? We should probably just unpack and eat dinner early or something", I do not even understand what I am saying myself. All I know is that all hope of leaving trio squad was lost. We would probably be stuck here forever. James placed a paper in front of me and I raised it up, only to see an house address on it. "What is this?", I asked and James grinned. "Aunt Julie's house address", he replied. "Wh-
Amelia's POV He burst into laughter all of a sudden and truth be told, I am surprised. "Ha ha", I mocked but he still did not stop laughing. His dropped his fork into his pasta and continued laughing before he suddenly stopped. "You are not joking?", he asked with wide eyes and I scoffed before rolling my eyes. "Well, I don't think I look like I am", I muttered, twirling my pasta with my fork without eating it. I looked at William with a frown and he stared back at me. "You have no idea how those guys use to banter with each other, complaining about what the other one had done all the time", he explained and the look in his eyes... He misses them. "Well, I don't see them bantering during lunch today", I said as a matter of fact and he looked up at me. William's POV I looked up at Amelia in surprise. Why is she getting all worked up anyways? I sighed and looked down at my food before raising my head back up to talk "Why do you say that anyways?", I asked and she looked up a
Amelia's POV William's mother walked into my room and she looked around it as she walked. She suddenly stopped and turned to look at me. "Does William come here occasionally?", she asked with all seriousness written on her face and my lips twitched. What does she mean? "N- no, ma'am", I said as I coughed. This is a really awkward position that I am in. I feel so embarrassed even though I know William hasn't been here a few times before. "Calm down, I was just joking", she said as she laughed and walked to the bed before sitting on it's edge. "But your face was-", I muttered but I soon stopped when I found myself laughing. "You should see your face, it's really red right now", she said and I immediately knew she was teasing me. There is nothing between William and I, so there is no way I am blushing right now. She chuckled and I smiled before the room went silent, you would almost think no one is inside the room. "Come and sit down", William's mother said, tapping on the spa
Amelia's POV "Come on, Amelia. Let's go to the sitting room", Mirabel said all of a sudden as she walked ahead of me. Weird that she just asked me to go to the sitting room with her but I followed anyways. We sat on two different couches before Mirabel grabbed the remote control of the television. "There is a comedy show that's always showing on the television every morning. It's my favorite one, trust me, you would love it. I would always watch it every morning when I was here, in country D. I am not sure if they do the comedy shows any longer though", she said as she continued searching through every channel. She finally stopped when she reached one and she smiled at me before winking "Rest your back and enjoy", she said with a smile and I chuckled. The show went on for hours and I found myself laughing a couple of times. Really strange if you would ask me We watched it for a long time and did not even realize how time had flown, we just kept on laughing and laughing and tru
EPILOGUE TWO YEARS LATER... Amelia's POV I sat on the bed as I went through my phone and William walked out of the bathroom. It's been one and a half years since we got married and I started sleeping in William's room as well since the time we got married. William came over to me before kissing me on the lips. "You are awake", he said and I hummed. "You are ready for work as well", I stated and he smiled. "Almost", he replied before walking into the closet. He came back outside in his already neatly tailored suit and walked to my side. "How are you doing?", William said to the bump that is high in front of me. "Make sure to treat mummy well", he said again and I felt a kick in my stomach. "He has heard you, William", I told him as I gave him a small smile. "Alright, take care of yourself", William told me before kissing my lips again. "I hope you know that I have not brushed my teeth", I told him with a grin and he pecked me again. "I don't care", he replied with a grin
Amelia's POV "Why are we here anyways?", Mia asked as she sipped her juice. "Why? Can I not call you guys over without having anything in mind?", William asked as he wrapped his arm around my waist. I slapped his arm off immediately and he quickly removed it. He looked at me and I glared back at him. I won't forgive him for saying something so embarrassing in front of Mia and Leo that easily. "No, you can't" "No, you can't", Mia and Leo said in unison and they did a high-five. I just chuckled at it. "Since you guys want me to bring it forward then", William said with a helpless sigh before going on his right knee in front of me. "What are you doing?", I asked with wide eyes as I looked at William in front of me. "I don't have the best proposal lines and I don't know the catchy ones", William said with a chuckle, and my eyes watered. Is he trying to propose right now? "I know we have gone through a lot together, Amelia. So many deaths, so many arguments", he continued and he
Amelia's POV I thought of the events of the previous day and I sighed. I still can't believe all that happened in one day. I walked into the bathroom and dipped my body into the bathtub. I finally got out of the bathroom and I wore a grey hoodie and blue joggers. "Come on, you should eat", William said to me immediately after I arrived in the dining room and I walked towards him. "Mary cooked some pasta before she left this morning", William said and I nodded as I took my seat at my usual chair in the dining room. "Are you sure you are okay or do you need to go to the hospital?", William asked again and I smiled. "I am fine", I replied and he nodded. "Eat then", he said and I picked up my fork. I took a bite of my food and I felt William's gaze on me. I looked up at him and he is smiling at me. "What?" "I am never going to lose you again. I promise", William replied and I smiled. "You should eat as well, you know", I said to him and he finally picked up his fork. "Are you
William's POV I walked into Amelia's room and it is all dark. I finally had her in my arms but it was only for a short while. 'They' had taken her away again. My phone suddenly rang and I brought it out of my pocket to see Scott's name on my screen. "Have you found the place?", I asked immediately. "Yes boss", he replied and I cut off the call with a sigh. I am going to get her back this time around. I won't let anything stop me this time around. I walked further into the room and I saw a piece of paper on the bedside table. My black card and the expensive watch I had first gifted to Amelia are on top of the piece of paper. I removed the two away and picked up the note before turning it over. 'Thank you for everything you've done for me, William. I appreciate it. I guess it's goodbye though (chuckles). -Love, Amelia.' I read the note over and over again, it is ever so short. I squeezed it in my hand and threw it on the floor before going to her bed. Her scent is still li
Amelia's POV "Your father came to me on his knees as he begged me to borrow him some money to finance his business. He was going to go bankrupt", he started saying each word strongly as he walked to and fro in front of me. "I borrowed him the money even though it was a huge sum and that's because I am a very kind man", he said I wanted to spit into his face but I just brought my head down instead. "The day your father was supposed to return my money came and passed but he still did not pay. I talked to him in a very nice way and he promised to pay me the next week", he continued before suddenly crouching down to my level. "By talking to him, I mean I beat him up until he was a pulp, you know that right?", he asked and I raised my head before smiling at him. "Of course", I replied and he grinned. "I like you, you are so dumb", he stated "We can't say, I might not kill you after all", he added with a meaningful grin and I knew that I would rather choose to die instead. "The sto
William's POV "Please get in, boss", Scott said to me and I looked up at him in grief. I pulled Amelia's traveling box and placed it inside the back seat before getting into the passenger seat again. "Gold casino", I said sternly and Scott drove away quickly. We arrived at the casino in no time and people were still flocking inside to gamble "Where is my father?", I asked immediately after I saw my father's assistant. "Sir", the assistant greeted first with a bow. "Where the fuck is my father?!", I shouted and he gulped. I guess he finally realized that I am in a bit of a rush and I am not here for some greetings. He escorted me to a room at the back of the casinos where one could no longer hear the noise from the casino. I opened the door and it turns out to be an office. Father is sitting on his chair but he has his back turned to the door. "William, you are here", he said slowly before finally turning in his seat and facing me. I looked at him and he has a burning cigare
William's POV I quickly packed my clothes into my luggage and made my way out of the hotel. I checked out of the hotel and took a cab to the airport. I joined the queue where one would get tickets back to Country D. "Hi", I said when it finally reached my turn. "Hi, what ticket would you like to get?", she asked and I sighed as I closed my eyes first to breathe properly. "Please, did a certain Amelia Pritchett come to buy tickets here?", I asked and she went through her recording book. "That's right sir. She left on the plane a few minutes ago", the young lady replied and I breathed in sharply. "When is the next flight to country D?", I asked impatiently. "In the next 45 minutes sir", she replied calmly. "I need to get on that plane", I replied and she furrowed her brows. "I am sorry Sir but the number of people for that flight has been recorded", she replied and I brought out my CEO card and hit on the table. "You don't want me talking about how you treated me badly when I
Amelia's POV "Hi", I heard Joanna's voice from behind me and I sniffed as I looked all around this dusty room. "Hi", I heard William's low but very deep voice from behind me as well and I fought the tears as they threatened to fall again. "I am going to leave you two", Joanna said and I quickly blinked away the tears. "Thanks", was all William reply with before Joanna's clicking heels sound followed. The room became really quiet after that and I heard William's footsteps coming toward me. "Hi", he said to me as he stood in front of me, not taking his seat and I gulped. "I saw you walk into this room with Joanna", he said again and I looked up at him. "What do you have to say, William?", I asked sharply. "We need to talk", William said and I looked up at him. "Is that not what we are doing right now?", I replied coldly and he just stared at me. "I am very sorry for what I did, Amelia. I should not have kept it away from you and I am now realizing my mistake. Please, can yo
William's POV It's the event day and Amelia is sitting in front of the vanity mirror as she combed her hair. I sighed before going into the bathroom. I wore my suit and Amelia is still in front of the vanity mirror, just staring at herself. Neither of us has spoken a word to each other today. I looked at the blue dress Amelia is putting on and I smiled bitterly. I thought of how we had decided and ordered that particular dress after we had disagreed on tons of clothes. It was always about me saying the dress she picked is too short and showy or Amelia saying the dress I picked is too big and long. We finally agreed on this royal blue dress that reaches her knee but has hands with no sleeves. I had complained about the v-shaped neck of the cloth but when Amelia had glared at me at that moment, I had shut my mouth. Looking at her, dressed in it now is captivating. The top part of the gown is firm and it just fits her perfectly the way the gown flows freely from the waist to her k
