Am I dreaming? She asked herself as smiles never got off her face all through that day. She was more transparent and efficient and Aria loved that for her. Later that night, she personally prepared Juan's dinner and took it into his room to serve him. Juan, who was going through some newspaper that evening, was very surprised but didn't say a thing. He was looking to go down to the dining room to eat later, but seeing as she had made efforts to serve him, he didn't think he could refuse such an offer. "Good evening!" He said to her and she was very shocked.

He greeted her?

She smiled and after placing his food on the table and arranging everything for him to use and eat, she walked to him and bent down to greet him. "Good evening. Your food is ready! Can you come to eat so it won't get cold?" She asked him and he smiled and touched her shoulder.

After about two minutes, he got up and walked to her to eat the food. She wanted to leave but he dragged her back. "I would love for you to

"I don't think I want to hurt you. But that doesn't give you the right to stand there and try to talk to me disrespectfully. I'm only sparing you right now because of the love and respect I have for Alejandro." He said to her and walked away. She stared at him as he left and scoffed. She then looked at the ladies who she thought were fooling themselves and rolled her eyes. It's been a week since Jace shot her fingers, and tight after she recovered from the injuries, she made her way to Jace's house again to see him. On getting to his door, she started hearing some strange sounds. "Hit it harder! Don't stop!" A lady who sounded like she was moaning spat from the room. She held her chest, hoping that what she was hearing wasn't true, and quickly brought out her gun. Suddenly, she kicked open the door and pulled her trigger countless times all over the room, and after a while, she stopped only to realize that there was no one in the room. She turned towards the television that was on an

"Good idea!" She whispered and tried to reach out to him. "Jude! Come over here." She shouted and walked into her roomJude, who wasn't used to being called, hurriedly rushed out of his position in search of her, and when he got to the terrace, she was nowhere to be found, so he went in search of her. Along the hallway, he bumped into Maria and paused. "Do you know where Miss Valentine could be right now?" He asked her and she rolled her eyes. "Where else if not her room?" She asked him, and he looked at her and rolled his eyes, too, and left. Maria was a little bit bothered, though, as she wondered why he would want to see her in the first place. She wondered if everything was okay and tried to find out but ended up stopping herself. She didn't think she was ready for any sort of trouble. Jude made his way to Valentine's room and knocked on the door. "Come in!" She said from inside and he rushed in only to see a naked Valentine on the bed. He moved back a bit, stunned by her act

Why the heck was she calling a man? He thought and didn't stop watching it. He had to see what the hell she wanted to do. He then watched as guard Jude walked into the room and walked out while dressing his pants. Alejandro felt his heart broke at that point. He couldn't believe Valentine was so low that she couldn't wait for him to return. He saw her body movement and also found that weird. He messaged Juan and Juan rushed into the room. "Look at this." He said to Juan who then quickly turned it on repeat and started observing. "She looked like she was injected with something. Something just isn't right with her and I think that guard slept with her. Alejandro..." Juan said and turned to make sure his friend was very fine. "Are you okay?" He asked him. "Yes, I am." He said to him. He then got up and walked out of the room. One thing was for sure, there was no way he was going to let the guard go freely. Juan was so pissed too. Valentine was the current miss. Pissed, he slammed his hands on his table and growled. "The audacity!" He spat. The urge to attack Valentine for the shits she does sip into his blood, and at this moment, he just wanted to hurt her, but how could he do that without any substantial reason or evidence. She would call him a fool or even do away with any secret of his she must have seen and known without him telling her. Juan came to visit him later in his study but just sat without saying a word for a while. "I'm sorry this is happening to you, Jace. I can't believe my eyes too. I don't know what took her away from us but this is just too absurd. I'm pissed!" He said to Alejandro, who then shook his head, wondering what he had failed in. Valentine was surprised she hadn't seen Jude for some time now, and even as she tried to ask questions, she couldn't get any good response. She had no idea that Juan was willing already to end anyone who would spit a shit about what they know. Getting into her room that morning, she f

"Go ahead and blame him then; I'm sick of you coming for me every time, even as you know that everything that has been happening is not my fault," Maria replied and Valentine was stunned. "You dare to speak to me like that?" She asked her and quickly grabbed her shirt. "Let me go!" Maria screamed at her but she wasn't willing to let her go." "I assure you one thing, you will never be anything important to Juan. You will always be a miserable maid. Do you wanna try?" She questioned her, and Maria started shivering. Valentine pushed her, causing her to stagger to the wall, and after that, she walked away. Maria watched her leave the hallway and couldn't help but burst out crying. She knew the meaning of what she had just done. No one ever challenged Valentine in the building but she had just done that. "I will do everything to not get eaten up by you." She muttered and ran to her room. After showering, she went in search of Aria and was only able to find her around the pull scrubb

Maria lay on her bed, looking at the ceiling, her heart was beating fast from the incredible night she had with Juan. His caress remained on her skin,a feeling she couldn’t forget. Yet, regardless of her desire to embrace the warmth, Valentine’s words continued to disturb her thoughts."You will never hold any significance for Juan."The echoes of the words mocked her. Did he see her merely as a toy? A brief getaway? She looked at Aria,Maria sighed, hugging a pillow. "I don’t know, Aria. I just… I don’t want to be just another woman he sleeps with and tosses aside."Aria raised a brow. "Did he say you were just another woman?""No…" Maria bit her lip. "But he didn’t say I was something more either."Aria reached out and squeezed Maria’s hand. "Then maybe you should ask him."Maria's stomach twisted at the thought. Juan wasn’t the type of man to be questioned about feelings. But she needed to know.Just as she was gathering courage to get up, a loud knock at the door interrupted both

Aria perched on the side of her bed, gazing at the wall, her thoughts swirling with Alejandro’s remarks. He desires that I enhance the cartel's complete communication network. The burden of his request weighed down on her heart. If she complied with his request, she would render him unstoppable. If she declined, she could end up not living to regret her decision.A rap on the door startled her out of her reverie. Before she had a chance to reply, Alejandro entered the room, his presence overwhelming the confined area."You're overthinking," he remarked, shutting the door behind him. His keen eyes scanned her, as if looking for resistance. "That is risky."She gulped forcibly. "You want me to render you invincible."Alejandro grinned, approaching until he was directly in front of her. "I want you to perform at your best, my queen." His fingers brushed against her chin, lifting her face upward. "And in exchange, I will protect you."Her heartbeat accelerated. His caress ignited warmth w

Maria moved through the hallway with caution, her heart nonetheless pounding from the heated encounter with Juan. Her thoughts become a tangled mess of feelings, choice, confusion, and a deep-rooted worry that Valentina might not permit this slide. She wished to speak to Aria. Pushing open the door to Aria’s room, she determined her sitting on the mattress, staring at the ground, lost in ideas. "Aria?" Aria snapped out of her daze, looking up. "Maria… Your appearance is shaken. What befell?" Maria hesitated, then rushed forward, collapsing onto the bed beside her. "I talked to Juan." Aria’s brows lifted. "And?" Maria’s lips parted, but she didn’t recognize wherein to begin. "He… he said I’m his." Aria’s eyes widened barely. "He clearly stated that?" Maria nodded. "He kissed me… touched me… and advised me he doesn’t share what’s his." Aria exhaled, shaking her head. "That’s excessive, Maria." Maria chewed her bottom lip. "But what if Valentina " "Forget her," A

The night air had grown colder as Alejandro paced the small, dimly lit room, the walls pressing in on him like a vice. His thoughts were a blur, spinning in every direction as he tried to focus on the task at hand—finding Aria. Every inch of him was tense, every muscle tight with a fear he hadn’t felt in years. The world was closing in around him, and the woman he loved was caught in the middle of it all. His grip on the gun tightened, the cool metal digging into his palm, grounding him in the chaos. He had been here before, had faced down countless threats, and walked away from death with nothing but a bloody history to remind him of the price of power. But this… this was different. Aria wasn’t just collateral damage. She wasn’t a pawn in a game he could control. She was everything. The thought of her being hurt, of losing her—he couldn’t bear it.“I’m going to kill him,” he muttered under his breath, the words tasting bitter as they left his mouth.Alejandro wasn’t sure if he was sp

  • Twisted Love With The Mafia Boss   Chapter 189 – The Darkness Beneath

Alejandro paced the length of the hospital hallway like a lion trapped in a cage, his fists clenched so tightly the veins in his arms bulged beneath the sleeves of his shirt. Every inch of him screamed fury and desperation. Aria had been taken again, and this time it wasn’t just a rival cartel—it was someone closer, someone who knew how to disappear without a trace. Sophia stood nearby, her arms folded across her chest, her face pale but determined. “He won’t kill her,” she said softly, watching Alejandro carefully. “He wants something else—something deeper.”Alejandro’s eyes flicked to her. “If he touches her, I’ll tear his heart out with my hands.”Sophia didn’t flinch. She had seen the carnage Alejandro was capable of when Aria was in danger. But this time felt different. Alejandro was unraveling, not because he couldn’t control the situation—but because he was scared. Deeply, undeniably scared. That was something even he didn’t want to admit.“He’s not acting alone,” Sophia contin

The night hung heavy over the estate, thick with the scent of rain-soaked roses and the kind of silence that only follows after chaos. Alejandro stood at the edge of the veranda, his broad shoulders taut beneath the weight of the truth he could no longer ignore. His eyes scanned the gardens below, where moments ago, Aria had stormed off, her eyes glistening with pain and betrayal. The memory of her trembling lips haunted him. She hadn’t just been angry. She had been shattered. And it was his fault.Behind him, the door creaked as Jace stepped out, his movements quiet, cautious, as though afraid to disturb the storm brewing inside Alejandro.“She’ll come back,” Jace said softly, lighting a cigarette he didn’t really need. “She always does.”Alejandro didn’t look at him. “Not this time.”Jace sighed, leaning against the railing. “You didn’t tell her the full truth, did you?”“She doesn’t need to know everything.”“She’s not a child, Alejandro. She deserves to know what you did. What we

The rain hammered against the glass walls of Alejandro’s private suite as if the sky itself mourned what was left of the night. Aria stood barefoot near the window, her silk robe soaked along the hem, her arms wrapped tightly around her body, not from cold—but from disbelief. The echo of Valentina’s broken voice still rang in her ears, the truth of what she’d uncovered hitting harder than anything she’d ever imagined. Alejandro had lied. Again. Not just about the past—but about the very blood that tied them all together. Alejandro and Jace were half-brothers. And everything was spiraling from that one tangled thread.Downstairs, Alejandro paced like a storm bottled in human form. He’d read Valentina’s message ten times over, but the weight of it refused to sink in. Aria knew. She finally knew. And there was no version of the truth that would make it right again. He’d spent years manipulating the shadows, but now the light was burning through his lies, stripping him raw. He was no long

The sharp scent of blood still lingered in the air, soaked into the floorboards of the safe house like a curse no fire could burn away. The room was silent, too silent except for the faint dripping from a busted pipe somewhere in the back wall and the occasional groan of pain from the injured men sprawled across makeshift cots. Alejandro stood in the center of it all, shirtless, his side bandaged but his face unreadable. The world was spinning on a new axis now, one tilted by betrayal, vengeance, and the crackling tension between him and the woman whose presence still lit a fire inside him even in the darkest of hours. He hadn’t spoken since the boat. Not since the last body dropped into the sea and silence returned. Not since he saw the horror in Aria’s eyes when the bullet narrowly missed her skull. His arms had wrapped around her then, not because he had to because he needed to. Because every breath he took without her felt like an echo in an empty room.Aria sat on the edge of the

The sky was bruised with the colors of dusk as the safehouse lights flickered to life one by one, casting long shadows across the polished wooden floors. The quiet buzz of electricity hummed through the air, but inside the living room, the tension was louder. Alejandro stood by the window, his silhouette sharp against the crimson-stained sky. His arms were folded across his chest, but his posture wasn’t calm. It was coiled like a storm waiting to be unleashed.Aria watched him from the couch, her fingers gripping the throw pillow tightly. She had seen him silent before, even cold but this was different. His silence wasn’t an escape from emotion it was soaked in it. His eyes weren’t empty; they were burning. And the fire in them made her own chest ache.Valentina entered the room with two mugs of tea, one for Miguel who was finally beginning to look like himself again and one for herself. She paused briefly, her eyes flitting between Alejandro and Aria. There was something simmering be

The gunfire had stopped, but the silence it left behind was heavier than any explosion. Smoke curled in the trees, the scent of scorched leaves mixing with the acrid tang of gunpowder. Alejandro stepped forward, scanning the tree line, his jaw clenched. His finger hovered near the trigger, ready for a second wave. But none came.Just the eerie stillness.“They’re retreating,” Jace murmured, lowering his rifle. “That wasn’t a full hit squad. Just scouts. They were testing us.”Alejandro nodded grimly. “Santiago’s gauging how far we’re willing to go. But he’s about to find out we don’t break.”He turned toward Aria. She was crouched behind the jeep, breathless but sharp-eyed, her hand still wrapped tightly around the grip of her pistol. Her hair was windswept, her clothes covered in dirt, but there was fire in her gaze.“You didn’t listen to me,” Alejandro said as he walked over.“I didn’t have time to,” she replied, standing. “They were aiming at Jace. You would’ve done the same.”He s

  • Twisted Love With The Mafia Boss   Chapter 183 - Shattered Lines

The sun was only just beginning to rise over the sea as the boat finally coasted into the narrow inlet behind the safe house, hidden beneath a thick veil of jungle and rock. Mist clung to the trees like a breath held too long, and the cries of birds echoed somewhere in the distance, far too peaceful for what they had just survived. Alejandro’s grip on the steering handle loosened slowly, but the tension in his shoulders remained stiff, locked in place by the blood, gunpowder, and adrenaline still coursing through him. His knuckles were scraped, his shirt torn, and his eyes bore the weight of a hundred battles this one had merely added more shadows to the collection.Aria hadn’t let go of his hand since the last bullet had been fired. Her palm was warm in his, her grip steady, even though her breathing was still uneven and shallow. She hadn't cried. She hadn't screamed. She had fought sharp, fast, fearless. But he knew her silence wasn’t peace. It was survival. And survival always came

  • Twisted Love With The Mafia Boss   Chapter 182 - Reckoning

The safehouse was quiet, too quiet. Alejandro stood by the window, arms folded across his chest, his jaw tense. The candlelight flickered across his features, casting shadows that made him look more like a war general than a man trying to find peace. Outside, the world slept under a cloak of darkness, but inside these walls, no one could rest. Not really. Not with Santiago still out there. Not after everything they’d lost.Aria sat on the edge of the bed, her hands fidgeting in her lap. She could feel the storm building in him again, could hear it in the silence between his words, in the way he hadn’t looked at her since they arrived. He was slipping back into that place the one where he tried to bear everything alone. The place where he pushed everyone away, even her."You haven’t said anything since we got here," she said softly, not accusing, just tired.Alejandro’s gaze flicked toward her, the dim light catching the torment in his eyes. “Because there’s nothing left to say,” he mu
