Chapter 5

1 week later

Aspen was a very scary man when it comes to work he does his work with all his heart and mind, He just wanted an experience before starting his own business.  He had to attend an important meeting, everything was set ready and packed; he wanted his wife to kiss him goodbye but she was always sleeping when he woke up and got ready for office.

He got on his car for the office but at the signal a girl started to wash the car, he wanted to offer money to the girl in the mask but stopped when he noticed the familiar eyes. He was 100 % sure it was the same waitress girl from the party. His face reddened with anger. The girl didn’t seem to identify him as she received her payment. He lost his sense as he jumped out of the car. Forcefully took hold of the girl’s hand; she whimpers in pain.  Looking deep in her eyes, Aspen can forgive everything but can never forget or forgive humiliation; he was badly humiliated in his own wedding, he demanded an explanation, the girl just stared at him confused. His anger raised, his fingernails piercing her wrist vein, she was telling him to let go struggling hard to come out of his hold. She was so thinking, and her hands were completely locked in his. He did not notice her hand bleeding until he heard whispers around him; people were watching him; he immediately loosened his grip, still glaring at the girl. The girl didn’t look at him before turning away and run from there.  

“What a bitch” He said and drove away from there.

Winter Pov

She sat in her room treating her arms where a little bit of dried blood was already there.

It was one of the days when Winter seek out of her house to come around and earn some money, it was a lucky day for her as she got a one day job at car cleaning centre where she has to clean car’s at the signal and could earn little, She found this strange man who looked familiar, he was glaring at her, he got out and dragged her at the corner, she was perplexed, who was it but suddenly she felt pain in her arm, he was demeaning her for an explanation, but she didn’t know of what, she was struggling and feeling that the guy was molesting her soon tears gather in her arm and she saw people whispering and looking at her; luckily she had her masks but it was really humiliating, she felt the man grip loosen as she runs away from there.

“why it is always happen to me god, do you really hate me this much “ she asked, looking up in the sky.

Aspen walked toward his cabinet and was about to sit, but the staff informed him that his father -in-law had called him. Aspen walked toward his boss office. And knock before entering.

“oh Aspen come on my boy, “ he called

Aspen greeted his father-in-law and went to sit on the chair opposite.

“I won’t beat around the bush my son, as you know the company is going in heavy loss, the investe pulling there investment, we have tried everything but the loss id huge as it will take time in recovered. But we got an investor who wants to invest in my company. And also want to pay off all the losses too. “ He said happily.

“oh that’s good new’s father who is the investor, we should be grateful of them. “ Aspen said.

“yes son we should but he has a condition son, and it’s related to you I want you to  agree to it, you know this all empire and money's all for my daughter Sophia and you, and if this goes down we will come on-road, and I will be an evil father for my daughter. “ His father said emotionally blackmailing him.

“father I can do anything for the company, don’t worry what is it tell me” he said

“son.. the investor is your father, he wants you to come back and handle his business and so he will invest in our company.” He spoke.

Aspen stood up from his seat his eye darken. “ father you know that my father and I are not on talking term and I don’t want his help, we will have any other way, I know we can find another way to save the company .”

“there is ot other way son, and after all he is your father, he loves you and wants you back why can’t you listen to him” His father in law said in little angry and frustrated voice.

“NO! I will die but never spread my arm’s in front of him, father you should not interfere in my and my family personal matters, and I won’t go back to him “ He shouted and was about to walk out of the office but stopped at the last word’s of his father -in-law.

“then divorce my daughter “

“what did you say ?” Aspen turns around.

“Divorce my the daughter you baster, you know I would never bring your father’s matter up if it wasn’t emergence; there is no time left the company will down be we won’t do anything soon,  if you can’t save my company divorce my daughter immediately, I should have never trusted a low life son of a baster like you, I will tell my daughter to leave you “ his father -in-law spatted and smirked; he knows that Aspen loves his daughter and will never reject his demand, but he was wrong.

Aspen smirked at his father and with a proud smile he said, “she will never divorce me, father, she loves me; she is not like you, she is not a golddigger like you” he I shouted and left the place.

Mister George William laughed, “what a fool child, the young generation is really fooled to believe in love, you made a terrible decision my dear son -in -law, you have to pay for it “ he called someone with an evil smirk.

Aspen reached home after work; he was happy to return home for his wife, they always talk for hours, they eat dinner and cuddles together, he missed his wife cuddles. He hurriedly opened his room door but was shocked to see nothing, on one the cupboards were opened, but there were no clothes in it. He got worried and started to search for her everywhere he took his mobile and called her many times. After trying everything when he walks in his bedroom to grab his coat, he found the letter with a wedding ring and with some documents. He slowly made his way toward it, with the shaky hand, he grabs the letter and read it.

Aspen grabbed his chest that was hurting painfully. A mistake. That was it?

A week he was so happy he was peaceful. Where he felt loved and wanted to expand his family, that was all an illusion. 

How can she say this so easily after a week of there wedding? Didn't she feel anything? No love? No pleasure? Not satisfied?

 How?

 His wife dumped him. Made fun of his love. Crushed his hope into pieces.

 Snatched his happiness.

 His father was right; I should have never trusted William family; there were some bunch of morens. The paper crumbled in his hold as his face become read in anger.

He wished it was just a bad dream. A nightmare but the brutal pain in his chest, making Aspen realize is that it's a reality.

 Why? Why is it always him? Why everyone leaves him

For days, Aspen remained immobile. Everything felt even more fucked up.

he just stared at the wall with blank eyes.

He didn't cry.

He didn't feel anything.

As days went by, Aspen blankly stared outside the window of his room.

He didn't speak nor eat which made everyone who loved him his friends his father dearly even more alarmed.

They could only imagine the hardship he had to go through, and this broke their hearts to pieces.

Every day, his friends stayed by his side, making sure to keep an eye on him. He needed their support right now more than ever.

He's not showing any signs of life as if he's still unable to grasp reality.

Until one night, everyone was startled by loud cries. They woke up, seeing Aspen in the verge of losing his mind.

He's crying as he thrashed his hands around, knocking everything down. He became out of control, seemingly losing his mind.

"Why?!" He cried, gripping his hair in frustration as he felt himself breaking.

"Aspen calm down!" Jaden went to his side, grabbing his arms to stop him from harming himself even more.
