Chapter Seventy One

I had believed this was our little space, a place no one could get to us. I was wrong; just the way she found us, others could. I didn't want to be on a run all the days of my life, yet the future seemed inevitable.

"What do you want, and why did you come all this way just to find me?. I know it's really not because you missed me that badly."

"You are right. I know about the rejection. But I am curious, how could you reject a man like him?"

"Except there is someone else. Tell me, is he living there with you?, is that why you left?"

"Let's drop the pretense. I never really liked you, so why are you here?"
