(Lena's POV)

I woke up to see he wasn't on the bed with me; the shower wasn't on, so he wasn't in the bathroom either. I didn't feel disappointed—that's what I told myself—but that was a lie. I stood, feeling the pain between my legs. I was sore and it wouldn't be going away anytime soon, but then I spotted something.

Were those flowers?

I walked slowly to the bunch of roses, and I gasped when I saw the letter in it. ~From Damien~

Damien had bought me flowers. It sounded unreal; he didn't strike me as theat kind of a guy.

I opened the letter, and I couldn't deny that his handwriting was beautiful. It was so unfair that everything about him had to be this beautiful, and the fact that he had done all this in such a short span of time sent my heart racing. The letter was short, but I had to read it over and over again.

'Wear the dress; I'll come to pick you up by 7:00 pm' it said, and beside the flower, I noticed a box I had missed. I opened it slowly to see a dark green dress. It

(Lena's POV) "You should believe them," he said, and I felt the need to back away. I had stumbled into a sensitive topic. "I killed her," he said, his eyes glassy as if going over a memory he had locked deep inside. "It all started the day I found her; she was scared of me, as everyone is. But I... I cared for her." My heart hurt at the thought that he had cared for someone else, but she was his mate after all and she was dead ." I remember the first time I had to bed her and mark her. She cried a lot, making me feel so guilty. She hardly spoke to me, and I wanted to make her happy, but she was always sad, and then she brought her brother to the pack; it made her happy, so I let him stay. Roy. That was his name, but she was so close to her brother, it made me worried. She loved her brother and spent most of her time with him. She stopped crying when I fucked her; she stopped fighting me away. I thought she was growing to like my touch. I was wrong. Strangely, the one woman who b

(Lena's POV) "I'm so sorry," she said, not to me but to Nat. "I... I'm sorry." She cried again to him, and then she fell to her knees, crying. All the while, Nat had a disgusted look on his face. I spotted Isis, and she stood at the corner, no doubt drawn here by the little commotion."Go back to the room," Nat said, his voice low, but I didn't miss the command. More tears fell from Aurora's eyes as she shrunk away and then stood, heading to the room."No, Aurora, stay; you've barely eaten anything," I said, not caring about the stares on me right now. Aurora looked torn, fear for Nat bright in her eyes. "Luna, I've... taken.... enough....""Stay," I growled at her. She flinched from the harshness of my voice, but that wasn't directed at her, but at the blonde fool sitting there, thinking he ruled the world. Slowly, she sat, her whole body shaking so badly I feared she was having a convulsion. She picked up the fork, but her hands shook more, and she dropped them back, settling to u

(Lena's POV)Nat's wet blonde hair lay over his emerald green eyes; the injury Damien had inflicted on him was already healing, leaving only bruises. Nat could be seen as beautiful by any other person who didn't know who he truly was. My first thought was to back away, but I couldn't; I was the Luna."You shouldn't be here, Luna.""How could you do this to your own mate?""It is none of your business; she is a bitch and should be punished.""I will not allow it.""What would you do about this?" he asked, advancing on me."Stay away, Gamma.""Or what?" he asked again."Damien would have your head, and you know it.""I doubt he knows you are here. I could give you just a taste of what disrespectful bitches like you have to suffer; obviously Damien is growing weak.""Let her go," I growled, surprised that my voice sounded bold even if I was feeling the exact opposite. To my surprise, Nat walked to Aurora, setting her loose. She dropped to the ground with a whimper, and I held my tears in

He was beside me when I woke up; I had tangled my legs with his. I couldn't deny how fast my heart raced when I noticed he was there; I hadn't realize when he came back from the woods. He had been watching me, like he was trying to memorize every part of me. He kissed my forehead. "I'm so sorry for last night; I shouldn't have...""Shhh, none of that. I was wrong too; I should have said something back instead of leaving the way I did.""No. I don't want you to say you love me back; I don't want you to fake that."I said, and he nodded in understanding. We both knew that he might never say those words. It was okay—that's what I say to myself—but no, it wasn't. I knew I was doomed. The moment I agreed to let him fake his love, I was falling deeper because he was so damn good at that, and it scared me. Sometimes I pick up changes in him, those tiny changes, and I hold onto them, letting myself forget that he was too good an actor. I was desperate. Desperate for his touch, to be loved, an

(Damien's POV)I was on my feet, and the rage filled my chest. I wanted to kill Tony here for even thinking he could touch my mate, right in my pack, but slowly he took his seat. Wise decision Tony."Appologies, Alpha," he said, a fake smile on his face. The bastard, I should have known, the fool, came on his knees begging for 'anything' in exchange for his daughter; he didn't think I would keep her alive for even a week, and the fact that she still is, almost unharmed, has given him the morale to come here again."You shouldn't be apologizing to just me," I growled at him. He knew better than to challenge me. I didn't give a fuck if his pack remained without an Alpha. I was very ready to dig my claws into his heart right here.Sitting beside him was Felicia, his Luna and Lena's mother. She was a shame of a mother; she had sold out her own daughter without even a single care in the world, and it brought back memories I had dug deep down—memories I never want to remember.Felicia looke

-----(Aurora’s POV) ----(Three years ago)I knew I was beautiful. I didn’t need others to tell me that; I saw what I looked like in the mirror. A goddess with a wave of red hair, like burning flames, and deep blue eyes. Every single girl in the pack envied me, and every man lusted for me.I was different, unlike every other she-wolf. I didn’t dream about my mate; I didn’t care to find him. I was in love with Jordan. I was willing to give him everything. I lost my virginity to him, and I never regretted that. We both made a promise to each other; we promised to never fall apart, and we were both supposed to reject our mates when the time came. I could love no one but Jordan, and he was the love of my life and no one could change that, not the moon goddess or fate itself.I was seventeen, and I had everything; my parents weren’t lower-class wolves either, just average, perfect—that was what my life was. Perfect until The Blood Moon Pack paid our pack (The Raven Pack) a visit.Nat saw m

------ (Lena’s POV) -----Would he really had let me go if I had agreed? The question stayed on my mind for the next few days. The fact that Damien gave me a choice came as a huge surprise to me.There was something else I had noticed. Aurora was hardly ever present in the dining room. Most times, both chairs are left empty, and other times, Nate is present and she is not. Many times I had wanted to ask where she was, but then I remembered I had promised myself to stay away from their businesses, a promise I wasn’t sure I would keep for long.I couldn’t believe my parents thought they could have me back after all they did. It was a shock even to me that I chose to be with Damien. They believed he had messed with my head so badly that I was forever attached, but I would do anything to wipe away that knowing look on my mother’s face. I hated it. The girl she knew and predicted, the girl they could bend into their will was long gone.I knew that with them, I wasn’t safe either; sooner or

(Aurora’s POV)(Mature Content!!)It was like he had forgotten me here. It had been over a week since I lay on the floor, naked and cold. It wasn’t normal for a werewolf to be this cold; the heat was in our system, but it was like mine was failing. I slipped in and out of consciousness. I was so hungry, I couldn’t move. Could he starve me to death?I couldn’t even tell the length to which he could go with this anymore. I wondered what would happen if I ended up dead. Nothing. I realized nothing was going to happen if I disappeared; no one noticed me, no one cared. I missed my parents; I missed my father, though he was seen as a traitor; I missed my mother, who could never visit me here again; and most of all, I missed Jordan. I missed what could have been.I was dying; I knew it, and no one came for me...My thoughts were caught off guard when the door was pushed open. I couldn’t see who it was, but for some reason I knew it was not Nate. Nate would never sneak in so quietly. I could

THREE YEARS LATER (Lena's POV) Kaden was color blind; I had always suspected this, but now that he was older it had been easier to tell. Damien blamed himself for it, but this wasn't even under 'his' control, neither was it his fault. . I had gotten better; I didn't need to be scared when I held my child on when I came into contact with others; Damien was all the control I needed, and together we've managed to start up a life once again. I had agreed to never use my powers again, but the less I use them, the more they seemed but be buried deep down, beyond my reach. I could live a normal life—or at least something close to that. Aurora walked into our room with two year old Leslie in her arms. We had become very close friends after the incident three years ago. With Diego gone, Nate took his title as the Beta, and for the past three years, there has been no one to fill in the gap until now. Diego's sister Alice had turned out to be one of the most brutal warriors, outmatch

(Natasha POV) We never really had a place to call home. The closest thing to home was the little cabin in the woods. I remembered Set bringing me in here. I had been so surprised at the beauty of the place. I had imagined things—I had imagined children running around in this space. I was going to plant new flowers every week, just at the side. It would have been a beautiful home. I had so many regrets; what would have changed if I stayed behind? Yet, I knew that Diego would have been killed if I did. Set wouldn't have wanted that. One thing was sure: The Ghost, who was also the Vampire Prince, wouldn't let us go that easily. I had killed the Ghost, the man who put me through so much pain. I had made 'Number One' pay for assaulting me and for taking my one true love away, yet it meant nothing now because even those couldn't bring Set back. I and Set had gone on dangerous missions, and I grew to believe that nothing could overcome us. Set was a pro at what he did. I had believed he

(Lena's POV) Damien tore through the crowd of vampires, and finally I could see him-- that was enough to give me hope, prehaps this wasn't my end yet. "Damien!" I cried out "Lena, hang on" he says as he yanked one of the vampires off me."Take off the necklace" he commanded."No!" Hecuba screamed.Damien ripped off the ruby necklace from my neck. I gasped. It all happened fast. Hecuba screamed, louder than a banshee; it was an ear-bleeding noise; the glass shattered. Damien held me close shielding me from the glass shards; The screeching sound must be one of the vampires' bane, a weakness we had just discovered because they clawed at their own ears, running in all directions of the room to find an escape. After what felt like hours- but were actually minutes, the noise stopped, and Hecuba's body, just like those of her victims, dried up, fading away till she was nothing but bones. I stared at the ruby necklace on the floor; it had turned back to the emerald green it originally ha

I didn't know what I was planning to do, even as I sat."Do you want anything to drink?" The vampire prince asked, his eyes fixed on me, as if we were the only ones in the room."No, thank you."He took the seat opposite me, not minding that there was none for Hecuba. I turned to her, but she shook her head slightly, indicating that she didn't mind standing."So here you are. Two years ago, you disappeared, I want to know if everything was a lie" I inquired not because I really cared but more out of curiosity."Not everything—this was my home even before I met you and have been for a long time, but you see, as much as I wanted to be close to you and as much as I loved th

"You lied to me all these years; you made me believe The Blood Moon Pack destroyed my family and my pack, but you lied, the vampire did." "They died ten years ago; get over yourself, child," he hissed at me. It sounded more like a sound a snake would make. "Go to hell!" I screamed back at him. "I have already been there" he says.Number One chuckled. "I go by many names." The Ghost began, "Some call me The Ghost; others call me the Prince of Doom, the Ruler of the Undead," he says as he lets his cloak fall to the ground. You are right-- the vampires attacked them, yet I couldn't let you know that because I knew you would be of so much help to me. But you have to know one thing. (Natasha's POV) I felt selfish after I discovered the truth about Diego. All the while, he had been suffering in silence, and I was too blind to see it. I never knew about his sister; I didn't even see the need to ask. My whole focus had been centered on destroying the pack—these were people who had done nothing to me. . I had to return back to the cabin, just as I had promised Set. I wanted to see him again, fall into his arms, and let him take control just as he always does. I wanted to hear those sweet words from him. I needed to be reminded of how special I was because, at this moment, I didn't feel very unique. I felt awful for how I treated Diego. I arrived in the cabin; the lights were on, and a small smile stretched on my lips as I walked in. "Set, I'm back," I said, but there was no response. "Set?" I called out as I walked into the living room. I saw the shattered glass on the floor; the couch had been ripped; the portrait was on the floor; and so were the curtains.

(Damien's POV) The decision I had to make weighed on my shoulders. Even as I walked into the dungeons where Diego had been kept waiting. I walked in alone. Diego didn't stare up at me; his gaze never left his hands. "You believed I had fucked your mate; could this be why you turned against me?" I asked. "I never believed you could do such a thing," he says. I stared at the injuries I had inflicted on him; his ear had been completely torn off; he needed a healer; but he was a traitor and couldn't be treated any better than that. "It hadn't been the way you think. Your mate had poisoned me; I had thought I was with Lena; believe me, I could never do that, she tricked me." "I do believe you. I knew you couldn't go that length, but I had been so mad. Yet, that was not the reason. Years ago, I had a sister; her name is Alice. She had been stolen away from us five years before I was born. The incident faded so quickly, and my parents discarded everything that belonged to her. They

"For so many years, you made me suffer; you made me believe I was the cause of your childlessness, you sold me away for your selfish benefits and when you discovered that your ill action still favoured me, you framed me for something I did not do, you made me see the worst in life, but that hadn't been enough for you; you still believed that I was the reason your mate was killed, and now you have returned to have me," I said. "What are you doing to me?" he asks. "Once a woman came to you, she brought a baby, and she told you that this child was special. Look at the woman beside me," I said to him, and he does. "She might be in the body of another, but this is my true mother, and she is going to make you pay for what you did to her child," I say, stepping aside. Hecuba walked forward; she was nothing like Aradia; even if she had claimed the woman's body, there was something about the way she walked; she walked like she owned the world; her aura could be felt even from miles away. The woman, Aradia, sat, waiting; she already knew what was coming. The gunshots could be heard outside and blood flowed into the room, spreading in from underneath the door. She reached out to her powers and then stretched her hands over Lena's body, muttering strange words, and there was a faint glow as energy erupted from her outstretched hands, forming a shield over Lena's body. This shield was one of the hardest to make; it did cost her, and she felt suddenly weak. The longer it stayed on, the weaker she became, yet she couldn't let go. The door busted open, and soldiers moved in. About fifteen of them left. The Blood Moon Soldiers had managed to take out a good number and had inflicted some brutal injuries on others. The attacks had come in large numbers; no wonder they had been able to overpower the five Blood Moon soldiers who had been kept there to protect the Luna. "Wake up, Lena," Aradia whispered to the woman on the bed, but there was no sign of movement. The soldiers
