The atmosphere instantly turned cold.

The joy from a moment ago was replaced by disappointment.

Celia saw him standing there with an expression of surprise, confusion, and a hint of undisguised disappointment...

She suddenly guessed what happened and said gently, “Julian, dyslexia is incredibly hard to cure. The fact that you were able to read just now shows there’s hope for your recovery. You might make a full recovery soon!”

Julian’s expression was emotionless. He suddenly crouched down, poured some ointment to rub between his hands, and massaged it into her injured ankle.

His grip was rather strong, but Celia bit her lip and endured it without speaking.

When he was done, he stood up to see her pale face and frowned. “Did I hurt you? Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I’m fine,” Celia murmured.

The next second, Julian picked her up and carried her back into the bedroom.

“Sleep.”

With those words, he turned away from her and left the room.
