ABBY
I couldn't sleep. I was lying in bed, tossing and turning, as my body felt like it was on fire. I was growing hair in places I had never seen hair before. It was like my body was going through some kind of metamorphosis. I was losing control of it.
And I was scared.
I had to tell someone. But who?
I sat up in bed and looked over at Ashley, who was sleeping soundly. Ashley was the only one who always knew my secret. I decided to let her in on what was going on. Maybe she would understand
"Hey, Ash?" I whispered.
Ashley stirred and opened her eyes. "What's up, Abby?"
“Can I talk to you about something?”
“Sure, Abs. What's going on?" Ashley asked
"I can't sleep. I don't know how to say this but I feel like I'm changing, like something is happening to me." I said, my voice shaky
Ashley sat up and turned on the bedside lamp. "What do you mean?"
"I've been experiencing strange changes. I'm growing hair in unusual places, and my senses are so sharp. And I've been having these vivid nightmares about running through the forest," I said, tears starting to stream down my face.
Ashley's expression softened, and she took my hand. "Abby, I need you to tell me everything. Is there something you're not telling me?"
I took a deep breath and confessed, "Ashley, I think I might be a werewolf."
Ashley's eyes widened in shock. "What? How is that even possible?" she asked, clearly struggling to believe what I had just said.
"I don't know," I said, feeling the weight of the confession lifting off her shoulders. "But I know what I'm feeling, and it's scary."
My heart was pounding in my chest as I waited for Ashley's response. I was afraid of how Ashley would react.
Ashley looked at me with a mix of shock and concern on her face. "Are you sure? I mean, this can't be real, can it?" she asked.
I nodded, feeling a weight lifted off my shoulders. "I'm positive. I've been experiencing all these changes for a while now, and I can't ignore them anymore”
Ashley shakes her head in disbelief. "But how is that even possible? We're not supposed to be supernatural creatures, Abs. We're just normal girls."

The next day at school, I couldn't focus on anything but my new abilities. I kept hearing things that I never could before, like the sound of a mouse scurrying through the walls. And my sense of smell was so strong that I could detect the different perfumes and colognes that my classmates were wearing.
I tried to keep the changes in my body a secret from everyone else, but it became increasingly difficult.
During history class, this nerd guy, I can't seem to remember his name, was sitting close to me. The sound of his heartbeat became deafening to me. I was about to lose control of myself, so I ran out of the classroom in panic. I made my way to the school’s courtyard, trying to calm myself down.
This was getting out of hand, at this point I was going to go crazy.
I heard footsteps approaching me, I instinctively went into a defensive crouch. I looked up to see Trevor, a jock, he was the captain of the football team and all the ladies in school love him.
Except for me of course, I don’t care about some social butterfly.
"What's wrong?" he asks, a sly grin on his face.
"Nothing," I snapped, not wanting to reveal my secret to him.
"Come on, don't be shy," Trevor says, taking a step closer. "I can see that something's bothering you. Maybe I can help?"
I backed away from him, ready to run if I needed to. But he kept coming closer.
"Seriously, what's going on?" He asks, reaching out to touch my arm.
I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body at his touch. I mentally face-palmed myself. Trust my body to betray me in a moment like this.
"I said nothing," I said, my voice shaking with fear and anger.
"Fine," he said, holding up his hands in surrender. "I won't pry. But if you ever need to talk to someone, you know where to find me."
I watched him as he walked away from me. At Lunchtime, I went to my usual table where I sat with my friend Jasmine. Ashley was a cheerleader so she usually sat at the cool kid's table. She has told me several times to come to join her and her friends but I always decline. I looked at the table, Ashley saw me and she waved. I waved back and smiled.
Trevor’s eyes followed who Ash was greeting, and met with mine. He gave me a little nod, but I averted my gaze. The conversation and little encounter we had earlier played in my head.
“Why did you run out of class?” Jasmine asked, her mouth full of burgers.
No way was I going to tell her what's happening. The less people that know, the better it is for me.
“To use the restroom?” It came out more like a question instead of a statement.
“It was like your pants were on fire, half of the class burst out laughing at your comical race,” she said
“Girl, I don't care about that,” I replied nonchalantly
I was watching the drama unfold in front of me. Tiffany, the queen bee of the school was literally shoving her face down Trevor’s face. They were dating before but broke up because Tiffany was a slut. Rumor or not, it was said that whenever they have little couple issues, Tiffany goes ahead to be with another male just to spike Trevor’s jealousy.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for Trevor. He was always the quiet type, and he didn't deserve to be treated that way. I looked back at Ashley's table, and they were all giggling and whispering. I could only imagine what they were talking about. Trevor walked past their table, and Tiffany reached out to grab him, but he pulled away.
As I continued to watch, Trevor locked eyes with me once again. I tried to look away, not wanting to be caught staring.
Jasmine followed my gaze and saw what happened. “What's going on over there?”
“Looks like Tiffany is causing drama again,” I said, rolling my eyes.
Jasmine snorted. “That girl needs to get a life.”
I nodded in agreement
But then, Trevor caught my eye and held it for a moment, before turning his attention back to Tiffany. As I watched, Tiffany leaned in and whispered something in his ear, causing Trevor's expression to darken. Just then, the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch.
I gathered my things quickly, eager to get out of there before anything else happened. But just as I stood up, Trevor turned and walked towards me. My heart raced.
What does he want from me?
ABBYI walked out of the cafeteria, hoping to avoid any drama between Trevor. But as luck would have it, I found myself face-to-face with Trevor in the hallway. He moved closer to me, and I felt myself getting trapped between him and the wall."I need to talk to you," he said, his voice low and intense. My heart started racing, and I could feel my palms getting sweaty. "What do you want to talk about?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Trevor looked at me with those dark, intense eyes of his. "I know this might sound crazy, but I find you attractive," he said.I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Why would someone like Trevor be interested in me? Who did he think he was, coming on to me like this? Did he really think that I was some kind of pushover?“What do you want from me?" I asked him, my voice taking on a feisty edge.Trevor looked at me, his expression unreadable. "I just want to get to know you better," he said.I rolled my eyes. "And why should I let you?" I shot b
ASHLEY I came running into the garden clearing as the sun began to rise, my heart pounding with worry. When I saw Abby lying on the ground, I gasped in horror. Her body was covered in fur, and her hands had transformed into large, furry paws with sharp claws."Abby, what happened? Are you okay?" I asked, my voice trembling with fear. She tried to speak, but all that came out was a low growl. It was then that I realized the truth - Abby had fully shifted into a wolf."Oh my god," I whispered, my mind reeling. "You're a werewolf."As Abby let out a mournful howl, I knew that everything had changed. We had always been close, but now there was something fundamentally different about my sister. Something dangerous.Abby's howls grew quieter, and her body began to calm down. Slowly, she started to shift back to her human form.It was a strange and surreal experience to watch her change back. Her fur receded, and her claws retracted as her limbs and body reshaped themselves back into her hu
ABBYAfter the whole drama with Cara, rumors were spreading like wildfire throughout the school that I was some kind of forbidden creature. I tried to ignore the rumors about me, but they were everywhere. People whispered that I was some sort of creature, a werewolf or something even stranger. I mean didn't people have better things to do with their lives than poking their nose into others business. As the day went on, the rumors only got worse. Someone wrote mean words on my locker, calling me a monster and a freak. There was no way I was going to escape this bullying.I heard someone whispering about me as I walked down the hallway. "Hey, watch out for Abby," they said. "She's not human." It was just a passing comment, but it hit me hard. I felt like I was being singled out and ostracized for something that wasn't even my fault. As if the rumors and mean words weren't enough, Tiffany decided to take it upon herself to make my life even more miserable. She came up to me during lunc
ABBYI woke up this morning thinking about Trevor, my mind still lingering on the moment he came close to me yesterday. I could hear his heartbeat clearly, and it made my own heart beat faster. The memory of his scent and the way his eyes sparkled when he smiled were still fresh in my mind.I couldn't shake the feeling that I was making a huge mistake by pushing him away. But my life was too complicated now, and I didn't want him to be drawn into it.I didn't want to go to school today, but Ashley wouldn't let me stay. She was determined to drag me to school with her.I tried to protest, but Ashley was relentless. "You can't hide from them forever," she said, her voice firm. "You have to face everyone and show them you're not a monster."But she was wrong. I was a monster. And deep down, I knew that going to school today would only make things worse. The other kids would whisper behind my back and call me names, just like they always did. They would never understand what it was like t
ABBYI walked into the bustling cafeteria with Jasmine and Ash, my eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Trevor but I couldn't see him anywhere."Hey Jaz, would you guys like to sit with me over there today?" Ashley asked, gesturing towards the "cool kids' table" while intentionally keeping her gaze on Jasmine and avoiding eye contact with me."Sit with you over there? Of course," Jasmine replied, smiling widely like an excited child."Well, I would love to sit with you," I said with a heavy dose of sarcasm, "but I have to find Trevor. Apparently, we need to talk."I made sure to emphasize the word 'talk' in a way that made it clear that the conversation was going to be far from pleasant."I can't see Trevor anywhere," Jasmine whispered, tugging on my sweater.I looked around the bustling cafeteria, my eyes scanning the sea of students for any sign of Trevor. But he was nowhere to be found.I wondered where he was. Maybe I was supposed to meet him somewhere else? I racked my brain,
ABBYWhen we got home, our mom was making pasta. Ashley went to meet her in the kitchen, while I went straight to my room. As Ashley chatted away with our mom in the kitchen, I slumped down on my bed, feeling drained from the long day at school. The sound of their voices drifted through the walls, and I could hear snippets of their conversation."How was school, darling?" Mom asked.Ash, always one to share everything, chimed in eagerly. “There's a new boy named Blake, he looks dangerous.”Ash told her about the whole drama in the cafeteria and the tension between David and Blake. Not wanting to listen to their conversation, I brought out my copy of Macbeth and started reading it.As I dove into the world of Macbeth, the sounds of the kitchen faded into the background. I found myself lost in the words, the characters, and the intricate plot. But as I read on, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The play was dark, filled with themes of betrayal and murder. It was a far cry fro
ASHLEY Abby was acting strange today. She kept sipping something from a strange bottle in her bag, and couldn't stop herself from squirming continuously.“We need to go to the police” Tiffany finally spoke upNo one is going to the police, we have nothing to report," Jessica said sternly, her gaze locking onto Tiffany's."Trevor is missing for chrissake!" Tiffany exclaimed, her frustration boiling over. "And what about the other five people who have disappeared without a trace? We can't just sit here and pretend like everything is okay.""Six people are missing," Jasmine stated calmly, as if it was just a simple fact."Exactly," Tiffany replied, nodding her head vigorously. "People are somehow disappearing and you say we shouldn't go to the police? What the hell should we do then? Any of us could be next!""I have an idea!" Jessica said suddenly, pulling her phone out of her pocket. "We should go to David's house, his mom is friends with Trevor's mom. She might've heard something.""
ABBYI woke up with a sharp pain surging through my brain. It felt as if someone had hit me hard on the head. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around, trying to make sense of my surroundings. It took me a few moments to realize that I was in the middle of the woods. All the trees were black, and the ground was covered in ash. The fire must've spread all night.I heard footsteps from behind, and I turned my head to see Blake walking towards me with clothes in one hand and a coffee cup in the other. As he got closer, I realized that I was stark naked. I tried to cover myself with my hands, but he didn't look away. His eyes were filled with desire."Get dressed, we need to move," he said as he handed me the clothes and left the coffee cup on the floor.“Can I have some privacy?" I screamedHe smirked and walked away.I dressed up quickly, picked up the coffee cup, and hurried after Blake. I took a quick sip from the cup, hoping to calm my nerves with the coffee, but to my surprise, it
