Heather POV We had all finished our meal, which had been a very nice deep dish lasagna. We were getting ready to leave when Molly came running up to Levi. She tapped him on the shoulder. “Levi, I have a question for you?” Levi picked her up and placed her on the chair next to him. “What is it, Molly?” “Grandma said that I could go to the movies tonight.” Levi nodded his head. “hmm hmm.” She looks down as she plays with the hem of her shirt and very quietly asks, “Can I sit with you and your friends?” Levi quickly covers his shock at her question and turns to the rest of us. “What do you guys think?” Reed and Lucas lean forward and look down the table towards where Molly is sitting and answer before anyone else, in unison. “We would love to have you sit with us Molly.” Molly whips her head up looking at the twins with a smile that covers her whole face. “Ok. Thank you Alphas.” She jumped off the chair and gave Levi a hug. “I’ll see you there.” We gathered our plates, placed th
Heather POV “So, Molly, what is your favourite Disney movie?” Levi asks her. It had already been decided that we were going to let Molly pick the kids’ movie. Molly leans over and whispers her answer to Levi. “Ok you wait here with everyone while I go get it ready.” Levi gets up and heads to the back room to load the movie. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed that the Groomed Hunters had taken the seats behind us. I hear April ask Molly if she wants to go to the washroom with her before the movie starts and Molly tells her no because she went with her Grandma before they came in. April walks away, heading for the bathroom, leaving Molly sitting at the end by herself, which should be fine, right? So why does something feel off? I see the Alphas walk in followed by the Betas and Gammas; I give them all a wave. I got a link from Mona. “Things are ok. They are not being pushy are they? I start to answer when I hear crying. We all turned to see Molly getting off the couch and rubbing
Heather POV The next morning, I woke to the sun beaming in through the patio doors again. I must have fallen asleep because I don’t remember the end of the movie and I don’t remember going to bed. One of them must have carried me to bed again. I get dressed for training in a similar outfit as the day before. As I reach the top of the stairs, I’m greeted with”Good morning Heather.” Both Reed and Lucas are standing at the bottom with big goofy grins on their faces. I stopped at the top step. “Good Morning.” I replied. I made my way down the rest of the steps. The boys part so I can pass. I made my way over to the table, the boys following. Reed pulls my chair out for me and Lucas pours me some orange juice. “We helped Dad cook this morning. We have already eaten and cleaned up the pans that were used to cook.” Says Reed. “All you and Mom need to do is enjoy your breakfast and put the remaining dishes in the dishwasher. Enjoy. We will see you at training.” Lucas adds. They both lean in
Reed POV Lucas, Quinn and I are standing on the grass in front of Meg’s normal parking spot. We watch as Meg pulls up and parks. They don’t get out of the car right away. “Why aren’t they getting out?” Quinn links us. “I don’t know, man.” I sent back. Quinn points at Meg and tells her to get out of the car. He walked over to the driver’s door. Meg slowly steps out of the car and before Meg can close the door, Quinn has her pulled in for a kiss. He breaks the kiss, leans his forehead against Meg’s and whispers something to her. He pulls her in for another kiss. From behind the car we heard a growl. We all turned to see Avery. Boy is she pissed. Quinn pulls back from the kiss, turns his back to Avery and puts an arm around Meg’s shoulders. “Is there anything else you need from your car?” He asks her. Meg shakes her head no. Quinn reached over and swung the driver’s door closed. “April, please make sure it’s locked after you get out.” Quinn asked. “No problem Bro. Talk to you later.”
Lucas POV We exited the packhouse. I nudged Reed’s shoulder. “Forget the one on one. Race you to the falls.” “You’re on.” This was the only kind of competition that Reed and I had ever had and even then it was not much. Reed was always just a little stronger and I was just a little faster. It balanced out. Reaching the clearing at the side of the falls, I lay down to just stare at the sky waiting for Reed to get comfy beside me. I turned my gaze towards him. “It’s been a long time since we did this.” “Yep.” “Life is just going to get harder from here, isn’t it.” “Yep.” “Are you going to give me more than one word answer?” “Nope.” I heard him chuckle. “You jackass.” “Yep.” I reached over and punched him in the shoulder. The two of us just lay there laughing for a few minutes. I get lost in my thoughts watching the clouds go by when Reed asks, “Are you scared about the idea of us sharing a mate?” “I... I don’t know. We have always known that the possibility was there. I neve
Reed POV “Tents, sleeping bags, pillows, cooking grill, pots, pans, paper plates and utensils. Can you think of any other basics we need?” Lucas asks as he climbs out of the back of the truck. “I think that should be it. How many tents did you grab?” “Five. Three, two men and two, three men. The Thatcher brothers are bringing their own and so are Jacob and his group.” I leaned against the rear bumper of the truck, stretched my legs in front of me, crossing them at the ankles and turned my gaze to Lucas. “Do you think Heather would share a tent with us?” Lucas walks over and joins me on the bumper. “I don’t know. We could ask her, but if we’re going to, I think we should do it before everyone else is here and give her time to think about it. Make sure she knows she has other options.” I nodded my head in agreement. “Ok. I think it would be nice to just hold her through the night.” Lucas slaps my shoulder. “Yeah. Let’s go find her.” Heather POV “Heather, where are you?” “In my
Reed POV “Heather, where are you?” “In my room packing, I want to get it done before Dawn gets here. She just texted and said they would be here in about half an hour.” Heather had just finished answering me when I knocked on her door. “Hey what’s up?” She asks as she opens the door. “Lucas and I have a question for you. Could we come in?” I asked. She stepped back, opening the door wider to allow us in. Lucas wraps his arms around her waist, picking her up off the floor while giving her a quick kiss on the lips and another on the side of her neck. She wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist as his hands slid to her thighs. Ever since we had our talk with Heather, this was the type of things that we had been doing. Giving her small kisses, hugging her and touching her in any way we could. Never anything that is inappropriate for mixed ages especially in a wolf community, but she always seemed to be responsive by putting her arms and legs around us too. I di
Heather POVAs I opened the front door of the packhouse, I heard many excited voices. Alpha Shane and Luna Mona are standing on the steps talking with Alpha Sean and Luna Rene as they watch the guys move supplies from the SUV that they arrived in to the military style truck we are taking to the lake. I spot Dawn standing near the back of the truck with her back to me as she inspects Meg’s neck. Quinn has not let that mark fade in any way. I started making my way over to the girls. I stepped up beside Dawn and threw my arm over her shoulder. “Hey sexy, come here often?” Dawn turns with a huge grin on her face, throws her arms around my neck, and tries to crush the life out of me with a hug.“Hey, did I hear someone out here hitting on my woman?” Zane says as he jumps out the back of the truck.“What do you mean your woman? She’s mine, and you know it. You’re just filler for when I’m not around.”Zane laughs as he pulls me out of Dawn’s arms to give me a hug. “How have you been, Shorty?
