Reed POV As I started to wake up, I got the feeling that something was missing. I open my eyes to find only Lucas occupying the space. Heather is nowhere to be seen. Not wanting to panic, I sat up and listened for sounds of movement. I can tell by the smell coming from the bathroom that she has showered, and I can hear faint movement in the kitchen. Focusing on the bond we have, I try to assess how she is doing. I’m not picking up anything that would make me think that she is upset or stressed. Just knowing that makes me feel more relaxed. Lucas POV We noticed that Heather had fallen asleep while we cleaned, so we did the prep work for supper. We could hear her chuckle in her sleep every once in a while. She looked so cute. Reed POV Wow, I can’t believe what Heather is telling us. It’s a lot to take in, but so much is starting to make sense, like all the crap with Keegan. We may never have been the best of friends, but I liked the guy. Even when he showed an interest in Heather back when we cheated on her, I thought that he was a nice enough guy for her. This explains his personality shift and why we all thought it wasn’t him in control because he wasn’t.
