We are visiting the factory and clicking a few pictures of their work process.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" That guard uncle. Damn. What is he doing here?
"Now? He is here." Ema is holding my hand and hiding behind me. But where will I hide?!
"I am asking something. What are you doing here? And how did you enter?" He is coming closer to us.
"What are you doing here? Your duty at the gate, right?" I am trying to manipulate him.
"I came here because the manager called me. But how did you enter?" He is so angry now and is literally shouting. Shit. God, please open the mouth of the ground; I wanna get into this.
"What is happening here? Why are you screaming?" More security guards are here.
Ema is holding my arm tightly. I look at her like no one can save us today. I can imagine my face now. Biting my lower lip with my eyebrows up which surely shows my eyebrows' dimples. Gosh. From where to elope, I am just searching that way. I can hear the uncle guard is already done by exposing us. All are coming towards us.
I look at Ema and scream, "Ema, ruuuuuuuun." I hold her hand and we both start running. All are around us. The sound of the machine is helping us somehow to dance to the beat as now we are unable to run. We all are like being ready for kickboxing; just taking steps back to the front.
Suddenly my brain caught mischief. "Oh shit. Just check, a cat has fallen into the machine. All of your food is damaged." All of them look at it and try to get it. I push two guards in front of us and run. After taking a few steps I look behind and Ema is not with me.
Where is she? Damn. This dumb girl is also looking with them at the machine for that cat. Aah, she is a cat lover. How can you forget that Abigail? But there wasn't any other animal coming into my brain. I slap my forehead and rush to her then again run. At that time they realized that I was lying to them. All because of this stupid girl. After throwing a few packets on them and running from this side to that side of the factory we succeed to come out of the factory.
"Run, Ema. Just need to reach the gate. Then we are free." Somehow we reach out but there are so many reporters here. All the guards' attention is there now. We manage to escape from them. But what exactly happened? Why so many reporters?
"See, what would happen if they caught us?" Ema is huffing as well as me too. We both are standing by holding our knees.
"But we got what we needed, right?" I replied with a victorious smile.
"This way! Like seriously!" She is in the scolding mode now.
"Hey. Just relax okay? I am here to manage everything." I am trying to make her calm though I know she is right. But sometimes it's better to experience a little adventure. Who will explain that to this boring girl?
"What did you manage? If there were not so many reporters, they would catch us for sure." Ema is still in angry mode.
"I wish there was a button to set you on airplane mode." By smirking, I express my heart now.
"Oh wow. You do everything and I will be in airplane mode. Don't you think it's unfair?" She is asking to defeat me.
"Of course. Why weren't you following me?" I am questioning her.
"What did I do?" She is now confused. That's it. Now I can stop her by scolding me.
"When I said about the cat, you should follow me to run; not stand there to help them, you stupid girl." Now I am trying to blame her.
"I couldn't guess that you did that for escaping then I would follow you. Sorry." Aww. My poor friend.
"It's okay. Now let's go. They can come here also." Then we both start our way to another factory. Thankfully we managed to escape. Thank you, God.

I am standing at the head-positioned chair and all the board members are looking at me like a hawk. I don't know what to say or how to manage. Just standing like a culprit.
A few of them start talking, "Now what are you planning to do?" "We want our investment back. Otherwise, we will sue you. You also know that." "Not only you, but we will sue your dad also." Now they are too much.
"How dare you bring my dad in this matter?" I am losing my patience now.
"See his attitude. At first, you are destroying our money, now you are showing attitude." One of them is taunting me now.
"Now I can't fix everything all of a sudden. I need a little time. You all have to give me time." I am asking for time.
"How much time? We can't give you your whole life." Another one asked me. I am not getting how much time I should ask for. Because of tension, I place my hand on my chest and I feel something in my pocket as my blazer's button is opened. I enter my hand and it's that broken chain of that girl. I don't know why but I feel a different kind of confidence.
"2 months. I will get my position back within two months. If I fail to get that back, I promise I will sell everything to pay you all." I am asking for time with full confidence.
"Okay, but just two months. Not an extra minute." By saying that they all stand up and leave.
.
"How will you cover everything in just two months?" Jack is asking me.
"I don't know how but I know I can." I place my hand on my chest pocket.
"What is there?" Jack asked.
"The chain of that girl. From now it will always be with me. Let's go to a jeweler's shop. I want to make a tie clip with it." By holding it I am saying.
"But you always don't wear a tie. Just look at you now. You are not looking like a well-arranged CEO." He is trying to show me how informal I am.
"Okay, you suggest what I should make with it. But I want it to stay closer to my chest." I am telling him what I want.
"Then make a pendant and keep it with your chain where you keep your mom's ring." He suggests the best.
"Okay done. Let's go for that." Then I intend to leave the conference room.
"Did you forget that you have a meeting with our team members for the plan ahead?" Jack reminds me of the meeting I declared in the morning.
"Aah yeah. I forgot. Okay, we will go after the meeting." I tell him with a smile.
"Wow, you are smiling in such a situation. As far as I know, you never smile when you are worried or tense. This girl is really something. We should search for her." Jack is teasing me now. I am not replying to him. I don't know why, I am getting the feeling that I can get back to my place but how? And from where I am getting this strength? This broken chain! Is it my lucky charm?!
Hello readers, So, the lucky charm. Huh! Let's see if can Michael keep his word. Thank you for reading.
Michael's pov - After finishing the internal meeting, we head to the jewelry shop to form this broken chain into a pendant. I am driving and Jack is resting his head as he is suffering from mild migraine. "I insist you go home and rest. I will be at home in no time." Though I know his answer, I still want to try. "As you are going home in no time then why should I leave you alone?" This stubborn friend won't listen to me. It's better to concentrate on driving. We reach the shop and they ask for an hour so I won't leave without taking it. I took a cab and sent Jack home forcefully. I choose to walk around to pass the time. I take off my blazer and keep it in my car. By folding my sleeves and unbuttoning my shirt's top two buttons, I start my walk carefreely. Without the car and a proper dress up, none look at me which is a lit in the heart. I walk almost for 10 minutes and the tune of the violin hits my ear curtains. It is gentle, soothing, and calming. I couldn't control my legs no
Abigail's pov - It's really a tiring day. The whole day just something or something. I am already fed up. I hope no more fancy things are waiting for me. I just don't want to visit that bar. I hate to be there but I have to go as I am not getting any part-time job. My phone is ringing. Argh, who is calling now? It's too late. I take the phone. It's Ema. Me: Hello, what happened? Ema: Wait, I just called and you are showing your attitude. What happened, ma'am? Me: Nothing, you say. Ema: Our exam is done. So, I am throwing a pajama party at midnight. Just come home now. Me: What! I can't come all of a sudden. Moreover, I am so tired. Ema: You can rest here. But you don't have any option without coming here. Me: Okay, whatever. I hung up abruptly. I am already pissed off. I know their pajama party. It's another mess up. I am walking without any attention and suddenly I feel I am unable to move due to pain. My vision is blurry and I am lying on the ground. What happened? Did somet
Michael's pov -I came home for a shower. Her face is coming in front of my eyes. The delightful bird has no movement. The way mom...My thought halts due to Dad's call."Mick. What's wrong? John told me that you returned with the blood-stained shirt. Is everything alright?" He is sounding worried. I wrapped the towel around my waist and came out of the bathroom."Hey, are you okay?" I hug him tightly."I repeated that Dad. I hurt someone again. So badly. I can't live with the guilt of being a murderer again, Dad." I fail to hold myself to him."It's okay. Just relax. What happened? Tell me." He is trying to console me."Dad, Actually..." I share each moment with him."Hmm." He sighs. "Let's go to the hospital. We can bring her back at any cost. Did you inform her family?" We are standing. So, I told him to sit down."Her mobile was fully destroyed. Jack went to fix that. Hopefully, it will be fixed." I enter my dressing room. I take my suit and change into it."Now, let's go." Dad is
Abigail's pov - I feel like leaving the earth anytime. But this Mr. Stranger gave me a smile to live again. I don't know what this feeling is but he is someone who is unavoidable. I close my eyes as I have pain in my whole body though I can't feel as much as before. A sigh comes from my core. I thought I would meet with you, Mum and Dad. But alas. I am here again without you. No problem. Sooner or later. I will be there. Then we will live together. I am smiling in my thoughts. "Abigail. How are you?" I am scared due to this sudden call. This Ema. "I am fine." I can say this and she starts crying by holding me tightly. "You are not looking fine. Don't lie. I won't leave the person who did this to you." She is in dramatic mode now. "I am fine and this was an accident. The person hit me. He brought me here immediately. Be sensible, Ema." It's tough to talk so I am talking slowly. "Are you sure?" She breaks the hug. Thankfully, I can breathe now. "Yes, you also know I hate those who
Michael's pov - The whole day, it took time with several meetings to detect mostly the projects of our group which are at a loss. But in this, the book publishing company has been in full loss for years. I have to discuss this with Dad. I don't have any other option right now. I have to shut down that company. "What are you thinking, Mick?" Jack enters with a file. "Pattinson Publication. It's been a loss for so many years. I think we should close this company." I look into his eyes from my computer screen. "Are you serious? Dad will never agree with this. You know the reason. He is emotionally attached to this." He is trying to explain to me which I know. "Emotion won't run a business. I have no option without this. Do you think I want to do this? Moreover, I already have an idea about Dad's reaction. But I am helpless. Not only this, I am planning to close 3 more businesses." I don't know what else to do at this moment. "What are you saying, Mick? What about those employees? Wh
William's pov - "I am so happy. Cheers." I threw a small party with them who helped me to gain my achievement. My favorite enemy is Michael Pattinson. He is going to be bankrupt in no time. Do I need any other reason to celebrate? Not at all. "Hey, handsome. Do you have any special wishes for today?" My escort realized my will already. "Yes, I swear to give you a long sex." I wink at her. She is blushing, faking. I smirk and set my gaze on others. Everyone is busy with intimation. I look at my Personal Secretary. I am in the mood to be with her for a while. She gets in my mind and comes closer. "Did you check on Michael's condition? How's everything over there?" I want to know his broken news. "He might close a few companies." Her reply gives a chill down my spine. "You made me happy. Let's call this party. I want to spend quality time with you as a gift of this news. "What about me?" My escort listened to my words. "Don't worry. I will call you later." She pouts and leaves.
Michael's pov - I reach home and on the way, I call Jack to join us at our dinner. I know Dad is so upset, I have no courage to meet him alone. Abigail is correct. We have to leave or live. And I will live. I will make my father proud of me. He will be so proud that I am his son. At least, I will try till the end. I won't give up. I will adapt to new ways to bring success again. I stand under the shower. Only here, I get relief. I close my eyes and my lucky girl's hair is in front of me. Her lavender fragrance is so intoxicating. It's the same for Abigail. I wish they were the same girl. It would be great then. I wrap the towel around my waist and come out from the long shower. I can come out and Julie is here. The most shameless girl I have ever seen. "Hey, handsome. Don't you think that you are getting hotter day by day?" Her eyes are on my abs. I try to enter my dressing room and she pushes me harder. I fell on the couch along with her. "What are you doing? I don't like this." I
Michael's pov - I return home. Dad and Jack are already at the dining table. "Hey, guys. I am back." I smile and take my chair. "How's Abigail?" Dad asks with tension. "She is so unwell, Dad. Just because she is so strong, otherwise anyone would react badly." I wish I could help her. "I agree with you. She is really strong. Mostly, I heard about her from her friend Ema. She told me how determined Abigail is." Jack added and I smiled. "Anyway, Dad, I have something to discuss with you." Both of them pay attention to me. "Abigail suggested something to me. I want to work that way. Usually, I rely on every company's Manager. But I want to look at everything personally." They are looking at me to hear more. So, I continue, "Along with that, we try to just earn but we invest less. Dad, I need you as my investor. By knowing our condition, none will invest in our businesses." I hope he can help me. "Sure, tell me how I can help you?" Dad is quite excited. "I am not going to close any
Author's POV -[9 months later]As Abigail awakens, she finds herself in a rather wet and unexpected predicament. Without a moment's hesitation, she unleashes a resounding yell, "Miiiiiiiiiccccccccckkkkkkkkkk..."In a remarkable display of Olympic-level sprinting, Michael, wrapped in nothing but a hastily grabbed towel, races out of the washroom, his face an exquisite blend of confusion and concern. "Baby, what happened?"Abigail points to her soggier-than-a-sponge state. "Look at my state, damn it. My water's broken! Take me to the hospital!"Michael, in the middle of trying to don a pair of trousers and an inside-out t-shirt, pauses for a moment, contemplating the situation. "Just a moment, let me wear something."But his fashion crisis is swiftly dismissed as Abigail, with a hint of a smile, quips, "You wore the t-shirt's wrong side.""Leave it. You and the baby are more important." He hastily adjusts his pants and tugs the t-shirt to its rightful orientation. Scooping up Abigail in
***mature content*** Abigail's POV - I am flying in the ninth sky. My every ride and his grip on my hip. I fail to hold for more and cum again. I fail to stay on my knees but his grabs make me get into the missionary position and he is still inside me. He starts thrusting without any warning. I pull him closer. His strong biceps are my pillar now. His joystick is quite large for me to take. Still, it's a pleasure I wanted all the time. There is no manipulation or conspiracy. Only our love and us. He leaves my grip and gets on his knees. Our sweated bodies, heaving chests, and louder exhales are the witness of our pleasure. He brings his dick out and grins at me. "Let's take a 5 minute break. You are so exhausted. I don't want this night to end faster with our tiredness but to keep it alive till dawn or maybe later." He starts kissing me all over my body. I doubt he is leaving an inch to travel his brim against my skin. He again holds my legs and gets on his knees. "It's time for an
Michael's POV -I break the kiss and pull her closer. I make her sit on my thighs and take the ice cream. "Do you know? There is a unique way to have ice cream." I want to start what I wanted for a long time slowly."What is that way, Sir?" She has a shy smile on her lips.I put a little bit of ice cream on her chin and lick it gently. She quivers into my arms. "Mick.""It's my turn. You said that you would let me do everything I wanted after our wedding. So, it's the time. Isn't it?" My husky voice and her ear lobe. Just a perfect combination. I am sucking her ear lobe and she is releasing a slow moan."Did I say no?" I grin at her reply."I want to put you into the swimming pool and get inside you but that might be later. It's not going to be two or three rounds. Maybe the whole night." I am on her neck now. My grip is around her so tight that I will not allow her to move if I don't want to."Anywhere or anything. I am okay with everything." Our love is now at the peak of lust.I lif
Abigail's POV -Our wedding day, and it holds an even more special significance this time—it's our 3rd anniversary. Mick chose this very day for our re-wedding, and we've been eagerly anticipating it for weeks. Today, I have a unique wedding gift for my husband—a manuscript of my new book, 'Fragrance of Love 2'. I know it will light up his face with joy, and that's precisely what I want to see.As I hold the bound manuscript in my hands, I hear his voice calling for me, and a smile tugs at my lips. "What is my wife up to on our wedding day?" he asks, his eyes dancing with excitement. "I can't wait to recite our vows again. I wish we could have a grand celebration, but I respect your wish."He pouts playfully, and I can't resist the urge to pull his cheek gently. "Mr. Husband, I want this day to be special in its simplicity, just for us." I say, putting a quick peck on his lips."But after the wedding, Abby, there's something I've been patiently waiting for, and you've been using this '
Michael's POV -The morning sun barely peeks through the curtains as I awaken, wrapped in the warmth of Abigail's embrace. Last night was nothing short of magic, the kind that leaves you in awe of the universe, feeling blessed and alive. Her peaceful slumber beside me is like a painting, serene and beautiful. I gently brush a stray strand of hair from her face and plant a soft kiss on her forehead."Good morning, my love," I whisper, my voice a gentle murmur in the quiet room. She stirs, her eyes fluttering open, and a smile graced her lips."Good morning, hubby," she replies, her voice a sweet melody that warms my heart. She stretches her body, her bare back exposed, and I can't help but admire the graceful curve of her spine. But as I lean in to kiss her, she covers her chest with her hands, her cheeks flushing a delightful shade of pink.I can't contain my laughter. "Are you serious, wifey? I held you undressed all night, and now you're covering yourself?" I playfully tease as I tuc
Abigail's POV -"Why did your husband try to put my wife behind bars? How could I stay passive?" William's voice clashes with mine, both of us brimming with anger."Now you can understand, can't you? Your wife attempted to murder his wife. Wouldn't he seek justice? I let that go, so you shouldn't attempt to harm my husband," I retort, my eyes blazing with fury."What is happening here?" Ema, that cheating friend of mine, suddenly appears out of nowhere."Your husband tried to harm my husband. I swear, Ema, if you don't keep your husband under control, you might end up a widow, and no one can stop me," I seethe, my words dripping with resentment and disdain."Mind your tongue, Abi," she snaps, but I cut her off, a storm of emotions fueling my rage. "Abigail Pattinson. Address me by Abigail. You've lost the right to call me Abi. Besides, I would love to slap you harder, but if I did, it would be considered animal abuse, and I don't want to stoop to that level," I declare, my gun still po
Abigail's POV -Days flow steadily, like a calm river winding its way through life's landscapes. I sit at my desk, penning down words that weave stories of love and heartache. Fragrance of Love, my most successful novel to date, brought the intoxicating aroma of success into my life. Now, I'm immersed in crafting its sequel, Fragrance of Love Season 2, hoping to give the love it couldn't find in the first part—a story mirroring my own life's journey, finding its path to happiness. These past two years have been transformative. The catering business Chole and I started, now known as 'A&C,' has flourished under Chloe's capable leadership. Despite Michael's proposal for a business collaboration between our companies, I was adamant about maintaining our individuality. Our love might be on the mend, but our businesses remained separate entities. In this time, I've managed to complete seven books, each a piece of my heart poured onto the pages. Fragrance of Love holds a special place, its su
Abigail's POV -Two weeks have passed since that dramatic day in the heart of New York City when I gave Michael one last chance. It's been a whirlwind of emotions, but the most important thing is that he's recovering well. I've been dividing my time between the hospital and home, and even though he's eager to come home, I've insisted on staying by his side at the hospital.Honestly, I can't help but be a bit possessive. I don't like the idea of nurses fussing over him, even if it's for his own good. And, to my relief, it seems that Mick has noticed too.Today, I'm driving to the hospital from home. As I enter his room, I see one of the nurses talking animatedly with Mick, both of them sharing a friendly smile. My heart gives an involuntary pang, and a touch of jealousy creeps in. I can't help it; I just want all his attention for myself.Summoning my bravado, I stride over to them, trying to mask my irritation with a polite smile. "Excuse me," I say sweetly to the nurse. "Could you giv
Michael's POV -Pain pulses through my body as we speed through the city streets, my thoughts consumed by one burning question: where is Abby? I've tried calling her countless times, my desperation growing with each unanswered ring. It's as if she's vanished into thin air, leaving me with a deep sense of emptiness. In my desperation, I dial my father's number. "Dad," I say urgently, "I need you to call Abby and keep the line open for at least 30 seconds. We can trace her location that way."The seconds feel like hours as I wait for my father's call back. Every passing moment is a torment, and I can't bear the thought of Abby slipping further away from me.Finally, my father's name flashes on my screen, and I answer with bated breath. "Dad, did you—"But his words cut me off. "She hung up, Mick," he says with a heavy sigh. "And she sent a message, saying she'll talk to you when she returns to California."My heart sinks as I hear those words. I wanted to see her, to hold her, to beg for
