143. Happiness all over

Abigail's pov -

I open my eyes, but the world still feels hazy, and the dizziness lingers like an unwanted guest. I glance around, recognizing the familiar surroundings of my bedroom. The soft, comforting presence of my father-in-law reassures me, and I realize I'm not alone.

A lady doctor sits calmly in front of me, her eyes gentle and reassuring. "How are you feeling?" she asks, her voice soothing.

I reply softly, my words weighed down by the weariness that clings to me. "I'm feeling so weak."

The doctor's smile seems slightly unusual to me as she continues, "Did you miss your period?"

I furrow my brow, trying to make sense of the question. Then it hits me – I did miss my latest monthly cycle. My heart starts to race, and I'm suddenly worried. "Yeah, I did. Why, what's wrong?" I ask, glancing at my father-in-law, who's looking at me with a tense expression.

The doctor's smile remains, though it's mixed with a hint of excitement. "Nothing to worry about, dear. You are pregnant. I've t
