In Trouble

The tension from the young champion’s struggle against the gigantic Kaiju poisoned the luminous skies of Pierview. Bonnie and Eliza helplessly watched from afar as Taylor was pushed to the brink of defeat.

“Your camera,” Eliza said to Bonnie.

“What?” Bonnie asked, confused.

“Take the shot. Use that thing to blast the Kraken away,” she directed.

Bonnie pointed it at the Kraken, hoping to help Taylor escape its wrath. She clicked on the button, but the camera released no combustion.

“Dead,” Bonnie said as she shook the camera.

“What do you mean dead?”

“This thing uses ultraviolet batteries and the ones in it now are all tapped out,” Bonnie explained.

“Put in new batteries,” Eliza demanded.

“I can’t do that. All the other batteries are at a Dad’s house, which is five miles from here.”

“There must be some way we can help him,” Eliza said.

“It’s too dangerous to get close to that Kraken,” Bonnie argue
