"Okay." I say "That makes sense, but we will have to explore that later." I turn to Micheal and Peter who are seated next to each other. "If you are both in agreement, I think that we should leave tonight. Luna thinks the sooner the better, and I gotta say I think she is right. Thoughts?" I ask them.
"Yes, we are in. Are traveling in a car? Or on foot? In wolf form, or human? I know you can't shift yet Annie, but the rest of us can take it in turn to carry you on our backs in wolf form." Micheal says
"I think we should travel in human form, and stick to the human world as much as possible. We can tell our parents that we are going to the coast, to show Ansel our special places in Charleston Bay. If anyone asks them, that is where they will say we are. Luna knows the truth, but I trust her not to say anything to anyone. We can travel in wolf form when when we have to go through the mountains, but I think we should take my car to Charleston Bay, and either switch cars or
"Show yourself, I know you are there, I don't want a fight, but we are ready for one."I say to the trees, loud and clear. A man steps out from behind a tree some fifteen yards into the woods from our campsite. He is dressed in all white, white pants, and shirt, even his shoes, belt, and long trench coat are all white. He is very pale, with blonde hair, he looks rather ghost like. When he speaks his voice is much deeper than I expected, his tone is level and measured. "I am Arima, this park is my territory, why do you trespass on my land?" He asks, directing all all of his words at me, his eyes never leave my face. "I was not aware of your claim to this land, we visit here a few times a year, Just last summer no one bothered us while we were camping." I answer back. "We claimed these lands a few months ago, now leave before you die." He says Ansel growls at the threat, and I chuckle. "That's funny? You think you can kill four werewolves
As I walk back down the hill, I collect all the throwing knives, and weapons from the dead. I set them all on the picnic table in our camp site. I walk to the car and grab the first aid kit, turning my attention to the guys. "Sit down, I'll clean your wounds." I say to them, Theyallstart to argue. I hold up my hand to stop them "No arguments, SIT" They all obey and I giggle. It's mostly their arms and shoulders that got bitten, I clean the bites with alcohol, and check that the bleeding has stopped. Werewolves don't heal instantly, but they do heal much faster than a normal human would. By morning all these small puncture wounds will be healed, but only if they are cleaned, otherwise a vampire bite can cause a deadly infection in a werewolf. It is rare for this to happen, but I am taking no chances. I superglue the few wounds still bleeding, not because they need it, but just to keep them from bleeding on
Ansel places a few more bodies, while I finish cleaning the weapons. I lay out the ones that Micheal and Peter will want to have on them when they get up. I hand Ansel his weapons, then replace my throwing knives and stars into my boots and other hiding places on my person. I put the rest into the bags in the back of the car. I don't have enough deadmans blood filled bullets to fill all the guns. I fill one for Ansel, and one for Peter first, because I know that me and Micheal are the best at hand to hand combat. I place the last five in one of Micheal's guns. "Well, We are not as well armed as when we got here. But we will be able to defend ourselves, at least long enough to retreat if need be." I say to Ansel. "I don't like it... There should never have been so many vampires in one place, and they were so easy to kill...It almost feels like they were placed here just to run through our ammo, wear down our defenses..." Ansel says. "Now that you said
I wonder if we should run in wolf form, now that I can shift... It will be faster, but we will leave a scent trail that is much easier to follow in wolf form...Come to think of it, I wonder why my wolf has not been pestering me to go for a run, now that we have shifted... Every werewolf I get up with told me their wolf spent the first few days begging to go on runs nonstop.<It's because I know that we are on a mission right now, we will have plenty of time for running later.> Mal says*That makes sense, thanks for answering my questions.* I say with a chuckle. Before our conversation can continue Peter calls for my attention in a quiet voice."Hmm.." I answer, Ansel and Micheal are both snoring softly so I know it can only be Peter talking."Annie, I need to tell you something, Only... don't tell anyone... And please, please, please, still be my friend after.." Peter says, still in the low quiet voice."Okay... Well... H
"Yea, I can hear you my love." He answers in my head, while he stares at my wolf."Baby... Your wolf is so beautiful." He tell's me, as he walks around me, reaching out and gently running his fingers through my fur from my neck down my back.A low wolfy moan leaves my throat."Ansel... There is something I need to say to you, now. I know that you are aware that I cannot feel the Amore bonds, at least not yet.. I only feel the sparks when we touch... And Iam sorry about that, but I wanted you to know... Just in case something happens tonight... I do love you. You are mine, and I am yours." The moment I finish speaking I am hit with an overpowering surge of emotions. I feel a pull towards Ansel so strong that I find it hard to resist throwing myself at him. I feel like my whole body is yearning for his touch. His scent is invading my senses, I am drunk on him.I nuzzle my wolf snout into his side."Now shift love, we need t
"Picture yourself in human form," Ansel starts. "The way you look, how it feels to move on to legs..." He instructs me, sensing the distress I am in without me having to say anything more. I do as I am told. After a moment's hard focus I fall down onto my beautifully human legs. "Thank you." I say, as I get to my feet and launch myself into Ansel's arms. He holds me tight to his chest, I relish in the feel of his skin against mine. After a moment I realize what the feeling of his skin against mine means... Ansel is still naked, and so am I. I flush with embarrassment at the thought. Ansel must feel me tense up, he tilts his head down and whispers in my ear. "Don't worry baby, I will close my eyes." He give's me an extra squeeze, then he lets me go and takes a step back. He keeps his eye's tight shut as I walk to my pack and pull out a dress and a pair of tights. Once I am dressed I walk back to Ansel. "I want to p
'It is a witch, I can sense her powers' Ansel tells me. 'Stay here, see what you can see, leave before the sun comes up, go to the meeting place. If I am not there by 9 AM then enterthe pack as planned. I am going to the roof of the main pack house to see what this witch wants. None of them likes the idea of me going so far into enemy territory alone. I end up having to make it an order to Micheal and Peter, whoI out rank, so they have to follow my orders. I know they are mad at me now since this is the first time I have ever given them an order like that. 'Ansel, if I am caught, my only chance will be you three on the outside to come and get me. I am already in position so please just go' I beg him, and thank the moon he listens. The tree I am in hangs over the roof of their pack house, but I am not in a good position to see the action, I have to drop down to the roof. I hope no one hears... I crawl across the roof on my
When we get to the library it looks completely empty. Everything is covered in dust, it looks like no one has been here in month's, maybe years. "Does no one here read?" I ask Ansel, sounding much more harsh than I mean to, so I add "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that, I wasn't trying to be rude..." "I know you didn't Inamorata. This used to be very much like your library... They read to the kids everyday... I don't know when or why that stopped... But I don't like the implications... Where are all the children? I haven't seen one single child since we got here" Ansel answers his eyes shining with unshed tears for his pack. The library is 2 stories. The first is very much like a human library, divided into sections, childrens, young adult, non fiction, history, ect. They second houses spell books, the histories of the packs, and other books that we need permission to read these are on cage like shelves with locks on the front. Ansel f
