Even though she was just his son's secretary, everybody knew that the person backing her up was a good friend of Ricky's father. So, none of them dared to mistreat her.

"It's just a token of appreciation," Joelle replied with a warm smile. She did not take the initiative to approach Sean even though she was interested in him because she knew that Sean would hate her for doing so.

She passed the gift to the butler. Then, she changed into a new pair of slippers and went into the house.

She saw Sean as soon as she stepped into the house. She greeted him after getting closer to him, "Mr. Sean, you wouldn't mind me having a free meal here, right?"

Sean's expression did not change one bit. He looked as nonchalant as he would be in the office. It seemed like Joelle was nothing but a pile of documents on his office desk.

He did not put any personal feelings into it while dealing with either of them.

"That's a question for the people preparing the meal, not me." Sean threw her a glance
