"I told grandpa that we're going to take him back to our house later. Do you want to come back for dinner tonight?" Those words meant that the May family was willing to give in to Molly, but Molly was not having it at all.

Molly paused. Then, she calmly said, "The triplets are looking forward to grandpa's return today. You should do it some other time if you want to bring grandpa back."

She did not want to associate herself with the May family nor did she want the May family to associate themselves with her.
