Despite Roland and Elton having suspicion in their minds, the Gray family gathering was held as scheduled.

The banquet was held at a local hotel. Elton had the place decorated with all the splendor that showed the Gray family’s power.

Many guests were invited to the banquet. Elton's son and daughter-in-law stood at the entrance to receive the guests. Though they had serious faces, their curled mouths showed how pleased they were.

Candice and her family were also invited. Seeing the lavish banquet, Candice showed a sullen face.

Her grandfather was still lying in the hospital, but Elton was having such a lavish banquet, which showed that he didn't care about his brother at all.

"Ashton, Clarissa, Candice, Tristan, go inside and take your seats!" Elton's son and daughter-in-law greeted Candice and her family with smiles. They ignored the latter's sullen expression on their faces.

Candice and her family walked straight past without looking at Elton's son and his wife.
