Chapter 81

Jason's POV

"Hello Cassandra," I spoke up as soon as she answered the call.

"Yes, why are you calling me?"

Argh, she could always manage to be hostile whenever we were on the phone. However, when we were face to face, she could only be hostile for short periods of time and she broke the pretense, even if the children weren't around, so it wasn't just an attempt to hide our unfriendliness.

I really didn't understand why she was still trying to make me feel like she was angry with me when it was obvious that she had buried the past.

Was it because of Liam? It couldn't be though because she had been acting this way even before Liam started talking about me trying to allure her. Or had Liam been insecure of having me in their lives right from the beginning forcing her to try being snobbish towards me?

But Liam had been nice to me in the beginning and it had really felt like he was the one who was encouraging Cassandra to let me be in the lives of the children. Or was I just mistaken?
