It sounds like you’re feeling the way Thea is feeling right now. :’( Trust that I’m writing as fast as I can. Without giving away spoilers, all I can say about bringing Conri back is, it’s fiction—anything is possible. However, it is a lot of work to raise people from the dead. You know, brain-wise (figuring out how to do it), emotional/mental health-wise(Thea is a mess), belief-wise(you have to believe you can do it, right?), power-wise, etc, basically, there’s a lot that might go into it. That being said, I have zero intention on turning this into a "tragedy" genre story. ;)
Eventually, the sun came up. Thea knew she would be expected to deal with things soon—the impending influx of refugees from the east coast, reassessing strategies after going over the footage and what they learned about their enemy, even the pack’s and everyone else’s mourning of Conri’s death and
“I’m sorry, Momma,” they said. “Did we hurt you?” “It’s okay,” Thea said, hunched over, trying to manage the pain. “Just try not to touch the silver part.” “Is it because Daddy died?” Thea nodded. “The silver part was Daddy’s?” Thea nodded. “I’ve never heard her make a sound like that. So muc
“Let’s go outside,” Thea said. “Con would want us to play in the sun while we can.” Lyall, their oldest, shot her a look she ignored. He shifted his gaze to his fathers and mind linked them. “While we can? What’s that about? Has she really lost hope?” Alaric sighed, and Kai inclined his head, mot
“Mmm.” She raised her palm an inch above the grass and drew a few Earthworms up from the soil with her magic. “We're happy, Ma. What are you worried about?” Theodore said. “We’re going to shift in a few weeks, and we’ll finally be able to use everything you’ve been teaching us,” Roderic said. “We’
“Is she in denial?” Jude whispered to his fathers. “Of what?” Kai said. “Of the danger we’re facing? She saw Lilith and her army, and now she wants to pretend like they don’t exist? Or is it because of the grief of losing Dad?” “I don’t know, Jude,” Alaric whispered. “I think it’s complicated. I
“Thank you, Liam,” Alaric said. “We’ll keep you updated.” “Alphas, what do you want to do about coordinating refugees from the east?” Liam said. “Let’s keep that off her plate,” Kai said. “Let’s plan on keeping everything off her plate.” Lyall stepped up. “We know the routine. We can pick up the
Eventually, Kai and Alaric took Thea to their room for the night. She headed to their bathroom, stripping as she went. They joined her in the shower, slowly approaching her. “Thank you for keeping people away from me today,” she said. “No problem, darling.” Kai kissed her forehead and ran his han
It took them a long time to fall asleep, but they had steamy dreams once they did. Until they realized they weren’t dreaming. Thea was panting, half-asleep, horny, and on top of Alaric, straddling him. “Get naked,” she said, then rolled off him. She crawled over to Kai and sprawled her body over
